This Game Ruined Kingdom Hearts

Kingdom Hearts 2:Final Mix is Superior to the regular one. I'm a kh buff and I l imported it so that I could fight Terra. I got it the other day, started it on Critical mode and noticed a substantial difference. It is a insane challenge, half health, twice as much damage, new powerful bosses. Seriously though, if you're thinking of importing it you should do it because the voices are in English and most of it is pictures and numbers. The abilities are hard to customize at first but theres a great translation guide on Gamefaqs.

I really liked kingdom hearts II. I really think that the game should have had more focus on Roxas though :( I like Roxas way better then Sora and I also think that organisation XIII should be more involved.

Also why didn't they explain the whole anagramed name thing? I had to figure that out myself. Oh and at some point it would be awesome to have a nobody version of Riku, Kurix! ^_^

Plus all the characters seemed older and more mature don't you think? Kairi got WAY older and Riku seemed a lot taller, now that I look back on KHI it seemed weird that a possesed 12 year old almost destroyed the world(s)!

But reaction commands...
FUKING AWESOME

But all in all awesome game!

PS also if you play the starting scene/song backwards it is a credit to Riku's life. it says stuff like "I was ansem, we three grew up together" I only just found that put yesterday. LOOK IT UP

I actually prefer Kingdom Hearts II over I. I LOVE LOVE LOVE the drive forms--the magic blue one....I can't remember the name....is so fun the use because you can make Sora slid across the ground while shooting and OOOOH! so much fun! xD--the reactions commands are boss! xD They've saved me more than once! The worlds were fun, but I missed Neverland because flying around and fighting in the air was FUN! I have to give Kingdom Hearts I props for that. In the second game, the way you could move you camera was also nice because when I want to see, I automatically use the second stick....thingy and swing it for a better view. Last night, I played the first game again and kept forgetting that the camera controls were shifted back to the R and L buttons. xDDD Sora looks better in the sequel too. And everything seems more colorful and rich.

I didn't hate KHII, but I really wasn't impressed by it either. The graphics were 10x better, there is no doubt about that, but the overall story wasn't something I found all that great. I found Roxas far more interesting than Sora, and most of the game just felt kinda......I dunno, like a rehash of the first one(not all of it, and it was stronger in some parts, not the entire game).

I bought it, played it all the way through, then sold it a couple of months afterward cause I have no desire to play it again. I love the first one to bits though, like, a helluva lot, so to me KHII was a huge letdown.

Overall, I disagree with your perspective...but there are some parts you mentioned that I agree on with as well.

I loved and hated the game both because of its additions from the first one. I loved the new characters, loved the new worlds, loved the new moves.

I hated the confusing plotholes, the Nobody system altogether, and the totally-WTF moments (seriously, there was a lot of scenes that had my mind all confuzzled).

But I would never ever ever ever change how Kingdom Hearts II was made or that it was even made at all. Looking back at it now, I'm glad Squeenix made it the way it is now.

Interesting. I didn't like KH at all until 2, because I thought that one was a bit too childish, and just too simple. I liked the added level, and the interesting new characters. I really like the way this one started much better too. The deeper level presented in KH2 appealed to me more, I guess.
