Because I am a moderator of this forum, and you do not make one post right after another. That is spamming and that is against the rules. You need to wait for people to reply and not make post after post. So I edited your posts and merged them together so the thread stays cleaner. Hey, I'll join. Tidus is one of the hottest and most interesting characters in FF history.
 
He definantly is. I rather enjoyed his character. It was nice to see an upbeat, positive character for a change instead of your usual quiet, stoic type ^_^
 
I'd like to join. Tidus did annoy me at first but he grew on me through the game. And he wasn't exactly thrown into the best situation when he first encountered Sin. It was also nice to have an emotional male character. I think he's really sweet.
 
They couldn't have picked a better character, the way I see it. As opposed to others, he didn't even deserve to be in that place:

Cloud - Member of SOLDIER/AVALANCHE and a past with Sephiroth
Squall - Training for the SeeD/Getting Rivals
Zidane - Member of a band of thieves and tried to kidnap the princess.
Tidus - An innocent athlete, thrown into battle with a sword, which was too heavy for him.

What better way to characterise?
 
He's definently the most sympathetic of all the main heros. And he doesn't spend all his time being emo about it. Sure he was a little frusterated at the begining of the game, but who wouldn't be? And you gotta love a guy who went after a villian knowing he would disappear when that villian was defeated.
