I tried and tried but that stupid Chocobo race makes me wanna throw my controller out the window. See my main party for Sin was Yuna, Rikku, and Tidus because they were the strongest. I got Yuna's and Rikku's but for me Tidus's is IMPOSSIBLE! The best I've gotten is 13 seconds. Finally I just gave up and customized a good weapon for him.

Anyone ever got his weapon?

No, I've never gotten his weapon either. I finally got his crest, but I never could get the sigil. The best I've ever gotten it down to was 30 seconds! It is possible though I've been told. It just takes ALOT of time and effort I suppose, and it's not really worth it if you ask me.

I actually did get this, but the real victory is in conquering the stupid minigame, who cares about the crappy celestial weapon? Yes, this game was ridiculously tedious and difficult. Ridiculously tedious minigames seems to be a common theme in getting celestial weapons. It's a weak point for FFX in my opinion.

No it's not. :wacky:

If you learn the patterns of the birds and know exactly to what kind of angle you have to adjust your controller, you shouldn't really have any problems. There're various layouts for the balloons, too, so it'd go down a treat to memorise them. On top of that, there are several tracks where it's better to let the trainer overtake you at the very beginning - there're less balloons to get and she'll take the brunt of the initial onslaught.

Most players finish the track at around 30-40 seconds, excluding extra points. Going by this, you need roughly 13 or 14 more balloons than you have birds. So, if you are hit by three birds, you'll need 16 onwards to bring the time down to 0. Basically, you need to account for those birds (the number of balloons you get must be greater than the number of birds hit) and you need to bring the timer down to zero - finishing at 30 seconds with no birds means you only need ten balloons. It is just simple maths and, honestly, when you've played it enough times, you'll be able to memorise the pathway and almost never be hit.

i did get Tidus celestial weapon and had if fully powered up, i found the mini-game really easy, i don't know why but me and it just clicked and i did the 0sec run on my second attempt. Tidus' Caladborg was one of 2 celestial weapons i got (the other's being Yuna's Nirvana) and for my 3rd main character i just customised one with the same ability things as Tidus' weapon (My 3rd char was Wakka)

I managed to finally beat the chocobo mini game and pick up the celestial weapon. I was determined to get one for every character and I succeeded.

That mini-game is cruel and inhumane though, I really can sympathize with you. It took forever for me to beat it, but perseverance pays off...maybe.

The game has a bit of luck involved too, even when you figure out exactly what you need to do sometimes random circumstance will prevent you from being able to do it.

I agree with Austin.

This game is kinda based on luck and skill as well. =/.

I finally got it myself, actually. It took forever. I threw controllers, turned off the console and everything.

I did it but it took me ages and it made me very very angry :wacky: I still can't do it first time, and Iv done it alot now. Bloody infuriating it is. iF you want a bitch of a sigil, go dodge some ligtning. Infuriating isn't the word for it.

Altho,I was dangerously close to launching the control pad at my screen several times myself, I actually did do at some points (lightning grrrr) Actually, thats probably why my old control pad is broken....

I got Tidus's celestial weapon every completed file (4). The first couple times my friend did it for me, but the last two times I persevered until I could get it myself. A really hard challenge, but I like the ultimate weapons so it was worth it for me. Seeing that perfect time is so gratifying. ^_^

hell no i tried load's a times and think i got the time down to 13 second's or so and gave up lol

got aurons, rikku's and yuna's wakka is a nightmare cos i hate blitzball and lulu's just as hard so lol

Tidus' weapon is one of the easiest i think

it didnt take me long at all to get the sigil, this is on my 2nd time round, the 1st time i didnt get the sun crest cus im an idiot and cudnt get past dark bahamut  vry vry vry vry annoying

using the directional buttons instead of the analog stick helped me for some reason, it ws jst easier.

I did that first time aswel, it's no fun getting unexpectidley fried by Dark Bahamut :monster:

I ended up restarting my file. well actually, I baleeted it by accident but I would have had to start again anyway, no way was I getting past that big mofo

I eaysily got the calderbog! *the weapons name* Im yet to get:
Nirvana(yuna)
Onion Knight(Lulu)
And I can't think of others I missed.

Psh, Tidus' Ultimate Weapon wasn't that hard (unless you forget to go back and get the crest and get subsequently raped by Dark Bahamut) Lulu's was the worst by far...

Tidus' Celestial Weapon was very easy to get for me. The only hard one (and the only one I need left) is Yuna's Nirvana. Other than that, I got them all.

I did!:) But it took a long time to get used to the game. I eventually memorized where the balloons and birds were though I still failed a couple times after that. One time, I just did everything right. It was a lucky break. Lulu's legendary weapon still eludes me, though. I got about 175 dodged bolts but never could get 200. Ohh well.
