Since we're including advent Children attributes i thought of some more Pros and Cons *ill add more AC related ones here later too*
Aeris
Pro
Was able to sucessfully defeat Loz and Yazoo by melting them (ok absorbing them into the lifestream)
Cons
Was way overused.

pro
Was able to Pwn Loz in their fight
Con
Was only able to Pwn Loz until he stopped joking around - then she was defeated in about 5 seconds.

Personally I would love to see a simulation battle of Aeris vs Tifa both at maximum levels. I think Tifa would win based on her limit attacks. Surely some unbiased PC wizkid could make this happen, I can't wait

Alright, here are my pros and cons for all the girls: I will try to not make this biased
Aeris
Pro
1. best magic user in the game
2. was the last of the centra
3. was the one who actually saved the world by destorying meteor and not even death stopped her
4. very caring towards the other party members
5. character design is more unique compared to other FF girls
6. has the best limit break in the game
7. She's the one who figured out how to stop Sephiroth
Cons
1. Does not have strong physical attacks
2. Every character can do magic
3. Was not considerate towards Tifa in the temple of the ancients when Cait Sith reads the fortune.
4. Was only on disk one so we didn't get to see much of her
5. Many other video game characters are similur to her
Tifa
Pros
1. Strong physical attacker
2. It was nice to have a female fist fighter
3. she is beautiful
4. She runs a bar and that makes her cool
5. She was awesome in Junon when she busted out of prison.
6. She gets to lead the party for a short while
7. She really cares for children
Cons
1. she was a last minute character added to the game and thus was not developed as well as the others.
2. She was a little too clingy for my taste on disk too
3. She's shy about admitting her feelings
4. Her body build is not that of a martial artist, and the athlete in me is distracted by that.
5. She is very much like several anime female characters who are in love with the main character and knew him during childhood, are absolutely hot, and are too afraid to admit it.
6. Her limit break is often difficult to make perfect.
Yuffie
Pros
1. She is the only female that is not in love with some guy (Cloud)
2. She is a ninja and ninjas are cool. It was also nice to have a female ninja for once.
3. She rose to the top of the Pagoda becoming the strongest in her town
4. She is a long range fighter, so you can put her in the back row and she'll still do the same amount of damage as if she were in the front, and doing so will make her take less damage.
5. She never has a moment of emoness
6. She can keep a good sense of humor even when times are bad (Ex: hanging from the mountain in Wutai)
7. Ironically, she's the only girl to kiss Cloud. (If you get her date)
8. She's very fast.
9. She's not in the game for sex appeal
Cons:
1. Her personality is a big turn off to some people
2. Even though she had good intentions, stealing the partie's materia was not cool
3. She young comared to the rest of the party
4. She's a bit careless as she got captured by Don Cornero and needed to be saved by Cloud
5. She's an optional character, so no FMV's for her, and that also kind of makes her not important to the plot
6. She gets air sick

i say tifa all the way because she is alot more stronger than aries, she has more hp and strength were as aries is not a fighter at all.
all she will be able to do mostly is cast magic and heal herself but her mp will run down fast

But you forget - Great Gospel Heals Hp AND MP - and as long as Aeris kept casting that -then magic i dont think Tifa would last all that long.

Lets see, Aerith is really kind and all, but she can't really take care of herself, where as tifa, well she is strong and all, but she can be a bit hot headed, okay that might be a lie, but, aerith is kinder and gentler, probably because she is a white mage, and tifa is more of the fighter, you really can't compare those two that well you know
I would choose Tifa out of the two of them. She appeals to me more because she is a close friend of Cloud and it is clear that she likes him. That's not just a fan opinion, but you can tell anyway. As much respect that I have for Aeris who sacrificed everything just to protect the world, I do choose Tifa over her.
Besides, Tifa is a good fighter physically. As for the two of them having a fight (maybe over Cloud), then I don't know who'd win. Tifa is a pretty tough fighter, but then again, Aeris is skilled with her magic. So it could be an even fight, yet I would vote for Tifa to win in this poll.

I've always prefered Tifa more than Aeris and Tifa probably win in a fight between them but recently when I was using Aeris more in my party she did some decent damage..... and then she died.
I'm actually sick of seeing threads like these =/ I don't prefer one over the other. I actually like both girls a lot, HOWEVER Aerith is my favorite female. As for the whole fight thing? Aerith and Tifa would never fight each other because for 1. that's disrespecting the man they both love, Cloud and for 2. The two are very close friends. Aerith cares for Tifa just as much as Tifa cares for Aerith. I'm just sick of people saying Tifa would kick Aerith's ass because she's a martial artist and because Aerith has no physical strength. You see, I'm also trained in the arts, but I think somebody who would magical powers would pwn my ass in a heartbeat. There just is no logic to it at all, what-so-ever.
