Tifa vs Zell

Tifa and Zell both being brawlers, who do you think would win if they were to battle each other?
Now I know Zell's a bit thick, and would hardly think to hurt a girl, (especially such a jaw-dropping one) so I think in order to be entirely objective, let's just throw that out and assume Zell doesn't care about etiquette.
At their maximum levels and with the best equipment, who would you root for and who do you think would win?

Zell wins because he can dish much more damage with his limitbreaks, both are able to lift giant enemies so strenght wise both are strong but ZELL is fastest and hit more hard.

Anyway, I think they're both pretty equal. :hmmm: Tifa would probably lose though, she likes acting like a damsel in distress so she'd probably let Zell win. :hmmm:

Either way.

Both are on my list of favourite characters. When it comes down to an actual fight between them, I think Tifa is the more dedicated fighter. Zell likes to goof off, and I think he'd lose a lot of stamina showing of as well, "working" himself up, etc. I think Tifa would be the more tactical fighter this time.

Had to think on it, seeing they're both favourite characters of mine. xD

She probably would let Zell win. for a lot of reasons. but i mean, if she lost to loz than she'd lose to zell.

Yeah, when she was a child of 14. Once she grew up she learnt the value of looking after yourself, hence why she became a strong fighter and independent woman.
 
I forget... what happened between Loz and Tifa in AC? :hmmm:
 
Maybe you also forgot that it was her and the rest of the team that saved Aerith from the SHINRA... :hmmm: Might wanna consider the AC was a dirty fight, if we're considering a "who would win" having two normal people. :wacky:

Anyway... What happened to her and Loz is completely off topic... :gasp: So would saying that Zell got his ass whooped by Seifer, etc.

This isn't about anyone other than Tifa and Zell. =]
 
Why would i forget that? :hmmm: This is a Tifa thread and that has nothing to do with the subject at hand. :lew: If it was a thread about Aerith VS Tifa, then of course Tifa would win. Aerith's not as muscled or kungfu-smart as Tifa. but that's all off topic. :mokken: I brought up Loz and Tifa's fight because Loz uses his fists (for the majority of fighting) which makes him like Zell (or Tifa)--meaning, if Tifa couldn't beat the crybaby-Loz she probably couldn't beat Zell, either. :hmmm:
 
Only finished VII so I can't say much about Zell other than he has good stamina, is strong, and is a goof... I never used Tifa a lot in VII because I found her (quite frankly) to be weak compared to a lot of other characters... I can't really come up with a clear cut winner tbh... Because they are so even, I would have to say Zell, ONLY on the basis of he was (in my opinion) more useful.
 
Considering Tifa was beating Loz's ass before he used his weapon, I think it's safe to say that Tifa would've won wasn't it for that dumb weapon he pulled out. To base her fighting style off that... weeeeell. :wacky:

Seeing they're both hand to hand fighters, my vote goes to Tifa, not cause she's my favourite, because they both are, but logically speaking, it'd make a lot more sense. Other than that, it's a thread about Tifa and Zell, not Tifa and Loz either, so... It has nothing to do with that either.

But, Kira. I only brought up Tifa and Loz because it's MY reasoning for why I think Tifa would lose against Zell. That's why I even brought it up. :wacky: I'm using statistics in her fighting scenes as my basis for my opinion. And nah, the gun didn't actually hurt Tifa. She blocked the attack by throwing a bench in the way, to which Loz ran/blinked behind her and then was able to get the upper hand. Both of them were using their fists the majority of the fight, and Tifa got her butt kicked. THAT is why I'm saying I think Tifa would lose. :lew:
 
Zell is a man and considering that both are dedicated fighters then Zell has the upper hand because of endurance and hit power, its not rocket science.
 
I wish my opinion wasn't so limited. I never beat FFVIII - didn't even get to disc 3. But! From what I remember regarding Zell's character, I would say that Tifa would win! :3

First off, I think Zell would underestimate Tifa's abilities 'cause she's a female. He'd get cocky and when he thought he had the upperhand/advantage - BAM! Tifa would sock him in the kisser with deadly precision!

... something like that.

Plus! Technically speaking, Tifa has had formal training from... uh, that dude from Nibelheim whose name begins with a "Z." Sorry I can't remember it atm. As for Zell, I'm not sure if he's been actually trained in the martial arts~ Although if anyone has any info on this, please let me know~ ;D

In my opinion, fighting isn't always about brute strength. Although we're talking about two "brawlers," strategy is an important component as well.
 
Personally I think Tifa would win, Zell may have speed but I feel Tifa deals more damage each punch she throws. That and if Zell roughs up his hair he panics and he's lost that and the fact that anger controls him a lot when he fights. Tifa would be calm and collective which would benefit her.
 
Sabin Figaro would win. Why ? Because the strong-ass mother fucker can suplex a train that's why. Tifa and Zell couldn't do that, so Sabin would destroy them both and then his brother would come in and take Tifa away on a magical airship ride. Figaro brothers, doing it best. :mokken:
 
I'd have to say on the whole Zell would probably win, depending on where they fight.

In Zell's case he pretty much a child soldier, on that basis he has a lot more experience than Tifa training in martial arts as well as power and technique, not to mention GF junctioning augmenting his abilities.

In Tifa's case she's more or less a country bumpkin, regular girl who gets trained by a local martial artist who unless i'm much mistaken, is just any old dude and wouldn't have the right abilities to match Zell's training. Tifa however is more of a speedy fighter anyway and based on AC relies a LOT on momentum to deal significant damage, she only really manages to cause Loz any trouble when she's jumping off walls and such, straight up fisticuffs she doesn't really damage him as much, if at all.

So if we assume it's a wide open space i'd put money on Zell, if the battlefield worked in Tifa's favour however it may be more close between them.
