Okay I can't ever remember seeing a thread like this in Costa or anywhere else for that matter before so sorry if I'm doubling up.

Now I've always been one to shave just about every second day.

I can't stand spiky hairs on my legs or underarms etc. It just feels unclean and actually irritating to not shave that often.

Some friends I have think it's normal to leave their armpits and leg hair to grow during the Winter, claiming that it keeps them warm. >.<

Some of them even go as far as to let themselves grow 'long and luscious locks' under their arms and then give those balls of hair names. >.<

I don't care if that's true or not, I simply couldn't allow myself to get that feral. XD

It's not only that it feels unnattractive, it just feels disgusting. Whenever I pull on a pair of jeans and I can feel the hairs sticking to it like velcro I shudder. >.<

Some friends even say, 'Oh I only shave 'down there' when I know we're going to do it.'

I'm like...even if I was single...I just could not 'let it go' like that. It's not like it's too hard to maintain. Seriously...shaving takes like a few minutes and it feels so good when your skin is so silky smooth.

This is quite personal and sorry if this offends anyone. It's not intentional. I'd just like to see what other people think of the matter. =)

im lazy with my legs i'l admit. but only if its like, Winter and if I have no man. There's no way I'd not keep myself groomed if i had a bloke in tow. When Im single and living in jeans, I really couldnt give a rats arse. Ive got quite fine/fair hair anyway, so until it starts itching il just leave it :andry:

Underarm hair is a different story though, Gotta keep on top of that shit. Im always in vest tops so id be far too paranoid about lifting my arms hahaha

incidentally ive just got out of the shower and I think the razor i used was blunt, my knee stings and i think i grazed my underarm. Alas :sad3:

I fucking hate shaving,. I wish i was a man

Ugh I hate it when I use a blunt razor. :gonk:

I've always had very THICK leg hair so I can never let that go.

Shaving under your arms is a definite must. I always wear singlet tops and so if I didn't shave and then accidentally lifted my arms and let everyone see my hairy underarms, I would just be so embarressed. >.<

I know I made a thread about asking whether to shave my facial hair or not, and I titled it very similarly to this one, but it wasn't a thread about general shaving. And there was a thread that Dave made asking men if they use electric or manual razors, but that's only geared towards men. :lew:

Naturally, men don't have to pay as close of attention to shaving, as their face is the only usual shaving spot. For me personally, I shave twice a week. I used to shave 3 times a week, but I realized that it was too irritating on my skin to shave that frequently, so I backed it down to 2 times. With this I still get irritation on my neck, but it's not too bad overall. As for the look, I suppose my 5 o'clock shadow after a day or two looks a little unprofessional, but not too much.

And the other place, I trim it once a week. I don't go full shave because I'm too hairy and it would look odd. So I maintain some so it doesn't look too out of place. :lew: Everywhere else on the body goes unshaven though. All the body hair is not sexy, but hell if I care. :lew:

But body hair is what makes you a man and every man wants to be manly right?

With that being said, I usually shave once a week since it takes a while for my facial hair to grow back. However soon I may kick it up to 2 depending since my hair does seem to be growing faster now. As for other areas I just let it grow. The only place I would even consider shaving is my back if I ever get it. Even I have to admit back hair is disgusting

To shave. :lew:

I second Kelly with certain things she said. I couldn't care about my legs for three or four days if I'm wearing jeans and it's winter. It doesn't grow THAT insanely fast for me, so it's not a big deal. By the third day I'll be bitching about shaving my legs though, I just need to make effort. xD

Arms and the 'other stuff' needs to go ASAP. :mokken: Like all the ladies said, I wear loads of tanktops, if not only, so I'd hate to lift my arms and have like a forest sticking out.

Ps. Then again, that's just my personal opinion. I don't think it's disgusting some women don't shave. It's not like women have to and men don't. It's just preferred these days. xDD

All women should shave if they care at all about looking decent in public. I don't see how there could be any exceptions.

Personally I think all men should shave as well, but considering how they generally cover their legs they can get away with just sticking with the face. I started shaving my face/neck every single day (sometimes twice a day) since I turned 18, and on occasion I'll shave the rest of my body as well. It's just common sense and cleanliness- stubble almost universally looks unattractive on guys.

I'm much in the same boat as Stang; my skin is too susceptible to irritation rash to shave as often as I'd like to. Given the chance, I'd never have so much as a single hair on my beard area (I'd have said face but someone would've mentioned eyebrows...)

As for other areas, I do trim though don't need to do that often. Mostly I bring myself to do it when I go out of an evening, or if I'm about to meet someone I like. For me, although most of it is hidden, it brings about a level of confidence in me to act normally when everything's in check. Having unruly body/facial hair, as seems to be the general consensus here, seems to be somewhat unforgivable. :lew:

I'm a very pale person with very dark hair.. so I have to shave nearly everyday.

...but I don't. :mokken:

I leave a few days inbetween legs, depends on if it's summer, or I go to the gym/pool afterwards.. after leghair gets so long that it's no longer prickly, but smooth.. then you know you need to shave. >;

Under arms and special place are abouts the same I guess... but sadly I'm in dry dock for getting lucky, so it's not a super mandatory thing as much.. maybe a week inbetween here and there.

Stubble can look very good if you have dark hair, personally i hate shaving my face so i use a stubble controller and just keep my stubble tidy

I only shave when I go out. Doesn't matter what the occasion is, I like to look good while I'm outside of my house.

Sometimes I experiment with my facial hair, but usually it's just a goatee or shadow.

I prefer to wax. Shaving gives me a nasty rash. The wax also makes my skin smoother and lasts longer.

I do shave if the wax is not available.

And in the winter I'm a little lazier with shaving my legs because I wear pants. My hair is white and hard to see so it is hard to tell anyways. I've said that I've needed to shave and people say that they can't tell. I always keep up with my underarms and bikini area though.

I like to keep myself nice, clean and professional. But I really hate being cursed for having sensitive skin. It's really a pain. My skin is extremely sensitive, I even have to wear extra soft socks or else my feet will feel like walking over burning wood. :sad3:

Shaving my beard is a must, but the sensitive skin forces me to buy all sorts of lotions and stuff to prevent irritation.

I envy people who have rough skin and can shave and not suffer unlike me who is cursed to have baby sensitive skin. That and it's gets annoying for someone my age to show my ID...:hmph:

I don't care much for legs, but I sure don't want to look like Gaia from God of War 3 with forests growing all over me.

So yeah, I am a neatness maniac. :mokken:

Well I like to leave my chin a little stubby.
I usually shave the rest of my face about once a week.

As for "down there". About every other week I do it.

Yesterday I spent about 20 extra mins in the shower shaving everything to a T, making sure shit was smooth, yo. And then I got out, 15 mins later after being dried off an stuff, and there's this inch diameter patch of stubbly hair on my inner thigh.

HOW ANNOYING IS THIS?! :rage:

LMAO.......Channi you crazy!

I have to use a freakin Pair of hair clippers to shave my 3 day growth off and then I can shave it normally! I week of not shaving for me = full beard......like a man who plays FF.

I've never shaved my legs, tbh, and I'm a girl. :mokken:
I suppose it has to do with the fact that my leg hair are fine and don't grow into thick, dark, hairy lumps. I get a lot of people commenting on how smooth my legs are, then get surprised when they find out that my legs have hair. I guess I'm grateful for that.

I wax my underarms though. I used to shave, but it caused me lots of nicks and stuff, so I resorted to waxing it. idk, I think that it's really sanitary to have your armpits free of hair because it's a really icky thought to sweat and feel it under your arms. Additionally, when you sweat, the hair [under your arms] sort of contribute to your body odor (prolly because bacteria start to inhabit the hair there). :|

I've gotten rather lazy about shaving lately. I used to shave every other day because it didn't really matter due to how little facial hair I have. But now I only bother shaving if it gets to the point where I can see the hair on my face without getting incredibly close to the mirror. I actually need to do it today.

Honestly, I would rather not shave and grow a beard if it were possible, but my facial hair doesn't grow in right, so it would look horrible. I shave about once or twice a week because it doesnt' grow very fast.

The only thing I shave is my face, though from time to time I simply let some stubble grow if I feel like it. My arms and legs are pretty hairy, but thankfully my torso is not!

As for my legs, I've got a few friends who try to convince me to shave but I see absolutely no reason to. I rarely wear anything other than long trousers/jeans and it just feels right to me. If hair wasn't meant to grow there, then it...probably wouldn't.

Either way, I don't consider it very masculine for a guy to shave his legs or crotch. I'll probably ruffle a few feathers by saying that, though. As for women? So long as I don't see copious amounts of hair, I'm not too bothered by it.
