Each time I play FF (any of them), I end up having a lot of gil near the end of the game. The problem is that there is nothing to buy at the end and the gil just useless.
Does it happen to everyone? If yes, do you like it? Hate it?
IMO it is a little annoying. Through most of the game I hardly have gil and usually can't afford all new available equipments.
But then, when I don't have anything to buy near the end of the game, I have a lot of gil and I just have nothing to do with it. The only two games in which it didn't happen are FFIX (auction) and FFX (paying 100,000 gil once or twice to Yojimbo).
I quite liked that, even though it was quite annoying that I can't do the auction as many times I want.
But that's the fun of having gil for me: to be annoyed when I don't have it, and to be happy when I do. If I always have it and can't waste it, it is just... not fun...
