Another before death thread. :P
Places you'd like to see, or would recommend for others to see before you or he/she dies and why.
Nothing morbid. ;)

1.) Rome-- the appeal of the place is just too great to behold. I'd like to visit the Pope and look at the cathedrals and whatnot.

2.) Paris -- I'd love to see the entertainment and the lights of the night life.

3.) Tokyo -- again, the lights of the city astound me. It's just bustling with life from what I've seen.

4.) The Colorado Rockies -- I've never been to any mountain range before, much less one that offers so much fun snowboarding and skiing and whatnot.

5.) The Alps -- it looks like such a beautiful place. And I'm sure it is. :D

6.) Safari -- I'd love to see the animals and such in their natural habitat.

7.) Greece -- it looks like an awesome place with great food.

8.) Hollywood -- I recommend it to someone not because of the famous actors, but because it has too much entertainment in store for all sorts of people. Theme parks and movie sets galore. ;)

9.) Florence, Italy -- love to see the art museums, especially the Uffizi.

10.) The Bahamas -- apparently one of the greatest vacation spots ever. I'd love to see it with my own eyes. :D

Now yours.

I've been to Rome Warbourne, it's def worth a trip. When you get to the ancient Rome part of the city you'll be amazed about how many magnificent buildings can be so close together. I have a shitload of pics when in Rome, as I went there with friends, including pics at the trevi-fountain and the forum romanum =).

I've been to Paris as well but I was around 6 then (disneyland ftw!) so I dont remember a lot.
I've also been to greece and yep the food is good and cheap! I advise you to go to one of the island and rent a car, drive a bit inland away from the biggest tourism and you'll find some good platers for a ridicilously low price.

Another one of your list: Florence. Great city, when you're there you should def try some ice-cream, it has the best in the worl. Bit I'm sure that anyone who goes there eats some ice-cream because they're masters in decorating their ice-cream it makes you wanna pay a load of money for having one. I also got lots pics of Florence ( was an Italy trip we did), if you'd like to see some just ask =).

Another mention worth is egypt, I've been there as well but didnt see alot, planning to go there a 2nd time =).

My top10:

1) Australian Great Barrier Reef: I've seen pics and I'd love to dive there

2) Bahama's: one of my dreams is to become a cocktail shaker at a beach there and earn my money that way, having a small house at the beach and stuff =)

3) New Zealand: I'm not a huge LOTR fan but the pics I saw just make me wanna go there

4) Serengeti: this goes along with Warbourne's safari, this place is known for the immigration of over a million animals, nature's miracle

5) Scandinavia: Rich anture with fjords and stuff and beautiful forests, especially Norway, great fauna and flora

6) Japan: I've always been a Japan fan and would love to go there

7) New York: Always wanted to stroll in the big apple

8) Malibu: well I'd rather live there than visit it if you know what i mean xD

9) Canada: Seems like a fun country to me somehow

10) Rio de Janeiro: Huge partyplace =D

Thanks for the tips Everyone's Grudge. I'll be sure to consider that when I go traveling. :D
In fact, I'll use this as reference. :P
And Malibu, yeah, it's pretty sweet. The beaches are beautiful over there.

I can't believe I forgot to mention Rio de Janeiro, Carnaval looks so much fun. :O

1. Italy (wow, this has topped everyone's list, apparently): I love the culture, I love the food, I love the language...it's just an amazing country. I really want to visit Rome, Florence, and Venice.
2. Alaska: Sled dogs are awesome. I want to watch part of the Iditarod firsthand someday. And Alaska just sounds like an amazing place, especially in spring.

8. Virginia: Busch Gardens Europe FTW :P
9. Japan: I'd love to see the city of Tokyo. Definitely a very diverse and advanced culture.
10. France: Paris isn't at the top of my list of cities I want to see before I die, but it still sounds beautiful. I'd love to see it someday.

  1. Venice - Now who wouldn't want to go to such a different place? I love the idea of the water. =]
  2. The Eiffel Tower AT NIGHT - I've been here before, but never up it. I'd really love to go up the Eiffel tower at night with a special someone...A person whom I've not yet met. =]
  3. Japan or China during the blossom season - Pure beauty. I love nature, and this would be no exception. I'd love to go there to see the different culture, but it would have to be when the cherry blossom trees are in bloom!
  4. Australia - Mainly to meet my friend Elton. I'd also like to see the different place and culture.
  5. New Zealand - I'd love to see some of the scenery from Lord of the Rings. I'd very much like to see the area in which they filed Rivendell.
  6. Greece - I've been to Crete but my parents didn't leave the hotel. I'd love to go there again and see the sights, as well as eat the food. It was simply gorgeous.
  7. Ireland - I've heard it's a nice place and I have quite a few friends there, a couple of who I did want to meet. But last night I said to my closest friend that I wanted to send him a birthday present and they told me; "We're online, we stay online." I think I'll go and meet someone who wants to meet me then.
  8. Rome - After looking at some posts, I've come to like the idea. It sounds beautiful...

1) Southern Germany-- The black forest! The gorgeous Neuschwanstein and Linderhof castles!
2) Japan-- Osaka! Tokyo! Kyoto! I want to go to them all :(
3) Egypt-- I have wanted to go here forever. One day I will! ....Hopefully!
4) China-- Ah, it looks very beautiful. I really would love to see all the temples and the Great Wall of China.
5) India-- I would love to see the Taj Mahal.
6) Mexico-- I really want to see all the old Mayan temples at Chichen Itza. I have a thing for overgrown ruins.
7) Peru-- Machu Picchu looks absolutely breathtaking.
8) Israel-- I don't know. I feel like it would be a very moving and interesting experience.
9) Tanzania-- Aggghhh!! I really want to go here! My school had a trip there, and I wasn't accepted into it. I was SO disappointed.
10) The Moon-- Kidding! .....Sort of. Okay, I'm not kidding at all.

I could probably think of about five hundred more locations. I really love traveling. x_x If only it weren't so expensive....

Here's my stuff:

1) Taj Mahal - In my opinion, this is the most beautiful piece of architecture created. It's awe-inspiring to the point of striking you dumb at the sight. And it also has a great story behind it. And India itself is amazing, with its blend of the ancient and modern.

2) Disney Parks and Resorts - I'm lumping them all into one category; yes, it's kinda cheating. But I'm a big Disneyana freak and one of my favorite after-school haunts is Disneyland/California Adventure. I'd like to go see what the other parks are like in comparison to the original, and also my "home park."

3) Angkor Wat - I'm a big sucker for the ancient world, specifically the ancient world that I didn't get to learn in class. In terms of ancient Asia, I learned about China, Japan, and India, but never heard a peep from Southeast Asia or Central Asia. I find these slightly less famous locations (though in no way inferior to the more famous ones) to be real gems for tourists who are a little more adventurous, but not quite Indiana Jones adventurous.

4) Amsterdam - I swear it's not for the drugs. I'm a big fan of van Gogh and draw lots of courage and inspiration from him and his work. The only work I've seen in person is the one in the Getty Museum and Amsterdam holds the largest permanent van Gogh collection.

5) Tanzania - I've always wanted to go on an African safari. I think watching The Lion King as a kid did that to me. But I've also got a great respect for African culture, for it's raw strength and antiquity, and the complete polarity in daily philosophy.

6) Tibet - As I said above, I love the ancient worlds I didn't get to learn much about in school. Tibet is perhaps one of the best preserved ancient societies in the world; Bhutan is probably more preserved, but I think I'm a little scared of the many laws the Bhutanese Dragon King might persecute me for without me even knowing their existence.

7) The Delamater-Bevin Mansion - This mansion in New York is where my favorite book was written, Antoine de Saint-Exupery's Le Petit Prince. While it's not exactly as if I'd be seeing a lot here, I feel like I'd get a good channeling of inspiration or whatever might come if I visited this place.

8) The Philippines - I've been here already, but only to see family, so it doesn't count. Manila is totally depressing, so I'd go the the rural towns and Cebu, or perhaps go down to Davao or to Palawan (I've been curious about the Puerto Princesa Subterranean River). This has a lot to do with me not knowing too much about my own culture, and wanting to touch the roots that I hardly ever knew I had.

9) Australian Outback - I have a great respect for the aboriginal people of Australia. They are ancient, but they are slowing having their ways eroded by the pressing modern societies.

10) Chile - I'm used to hearing Mexican Spanish, so I find it kinda cute to hear the accents of South American Spanish; I guess it's kinda like how some people have a British accent fetish. Chile is the most stable Spanish-speaking country in South America, so that would be my choice. Also, Chilean culture is relatively unknown to pop culture - obviously a big plus for me.

Here are some of the spot's I've already been to, that might've been on the list:

1) Paris - I love this city so much. It's not really snobby so much as busy. I think we treat tourists the exact same way in L.A.; I think some people just think French sounds inherently snobbish and think all the people there are snobs, which is really untrue. Even if they were snobs, the Louvre, the Eiffel Tower, the Moulin Rouge, the Moulin de la Galette, the Seine, Notre Dame, the FOOD, the Arc du Triomphe... these totally make it worthwhile.

2) London - Whereas I loved Paris, London felt much more like the city I could actually live in. Getting that sort of impression struck me more than any monument or show.

3) Hawaii - I love island culture. I love the sun. Nuff said.

4) California - What can I say? California is my home, now and forever. It's got everything you could want, even a Terminator Governor.

5) Neuschwanstein Castle - I really like King Ludwig's castles and am totally enchanted by his mad romantic fancies. I specifically like this castle, because it's the one that the castle in Disneyland was modeled after.

6) Vienna - Cities like these are totally overlooked by people crowding to Paris and Milan.
