Twilight

Gah i think i just saw spoilers while scrolling!
CURSE YOU!

OT: I have the first book, my friend told me about it, because I desperately needed something new to read. And I love it. I even went to see the movie, and damn, is it a good story. I can't wait to continue reading the next 3 books.

I've read them all and I'm waiting for Midnight Sun!:tighthug:
I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but Midnight Sun has been cancelled :gasp: The first 12 chapters of it were somehow leaked onto the internet, so Meyer has decided to stop writing it.

Although I did watch an interview with her now too long ago in which she said she may start writing it again in 2 or 3 years. She wants to wait until everyone has "forgotten about it". As if :cassy:

Anyways. Whether there is or not, I don't really think I'll bother. I'll have to see if I'm still interested in that so-called 2-3 years time.

I'll have to read Breaking Dawn before i can even think of whether to continue to Midnight Sun..

Thank Lord I have a sampler of Midnight Sun, thats what happens with working in a book shop lol.

My fella got me the nice collectors edition of Twilight as its my fav in the series. Its not cause its the first book, but because it opened up something amazing to me. And its inspired me to write again, which has boosted my confidence. Lol, dont ask.

It's a great book, but don't expect it to be something epic with a complex storyline, because it isn't. In fact, it's pretty bad when it comes to that. But what hooks the readers is the description and the urge to find out what happens next. I've read all four books and they're all amazing, always keep you on edge.

About Midnight Sun, I've heard rumors that Meyer is being forced to finish writing it because she's already agreed to a contract with her publisher.

The movie was ok, but it didn't do the book much justice at all. But the biggest mistake Catherine Hardwicke made in this movie was casting Kristen Stewart as Bella. Also, it didn't dive very deep into the storyline, it was more of an overview. But overall it was pretty cool.

I'm not sure about the movie enough to comment on it. I only thought the perfection Stephanie portrayed about the Cullens were not exactly shown in the movie... (It might be impossible to get or i might be expecting too much though)

So, we'll be looking at Midnight Sun then? I think the story in general could go on forever, since
Bella became a Vampire in Breaking Dawn...

I'm annoyed that Eclipse is sold out in every book store in my county. "Dubray Books" said they'll get some of them this week. I went to the huge shopping centre and Eclipse was sold out. WTF?!

Plus, I hate myself for reading the first fifty pages of Braking Dawn. I spoiled everything for myself.
Anyway, my favourite character is Alice Cullen, without a doubt.

I finshed all the books now i wished they would make a fifth book because thet left you hanging in Breaking Dawn
Like the volturi coming and wanting to kill Nessie and when edward tells bella that they may come back it
They should really make a a fifth book in Nessi's point of view.

I am fascinated with the series. they all link together good. I read midnight sun. I'm not going to say a word.

Hey guys, take it easy on the spammy one-liner posts, or I'll have to start deleting them. Remember to read the site rules about spam if you've forgotten. You can find a link in my siggy.

Ah the Twilight saga. I'm one girl who will admit that I absolutely adored these books a great deal, but they do have their faults like any story does really. I think my favorite was the 4th one, Breaking Dawn. The only thing that really annoyed me in Twilight was Bella. She just seemed...so dense and so stupid at times it drove me insane. I quite enjoyed New Moon because I am a Jacob fan, probably as much as I am an Edward fan.
Though I much prefer vampires over werewolves
, I just found I enjoyed Jacob's character. Though I prefer Bella with Edward of course.

In Eclipse Bella just REALLY pissed me off A LOT. This whole 'I can't decide who I'm in love with!' bullshit REALLY got on my nerves. I mean Jesus Christ you stupid bitch, what about Edward!? You're sitting here in the previous book (New Moon) falling apart because
of Edward leaving you, and now you're falling apart because you can't decide if you want to be with Edward or Jacob?
Edward who's a gentleman in every aspect, Edward who gives you the WORLD and protects you because you're just a fragile little human, etc...

There were a few times Jacob pissed me off too,
like trying to force himself to be with Bella. Then again, Edward pissed me off by leaving in New Moon
, so I suppose those two are even. Anyway, the whole love triangle between Bella, Edward and Jacob just really got on my nerves. It made me want to grab Bella and bitch slap her about 4 or 5 times to make her realize that she belongs with Edward and not Jacob. Breaking Dawn, however...WOW. That book is truly amazing. I LOVED the outcome, I loved reading Jacob's PoV and the ending was just awesome.

I did get to read those first 12 chapters of Midnight Sun and I'm longing for more. However if Stephenie decides to wait 2-3 years before she picks it back up, the whole Twilight fad is going to probably have died down quite a bit. She should write it while the hype is still rearing it's ugly head. Anyway, all in all I did enjoy the series, except for Bella at times, she really annoyed the shit out of me.

Now I loved all the Cullens, but I especially loved Alice and Esme. I honestly think Alice was like the perfect friend. She was super sweet, so caring and giving. I don't think there was a selfish bone in her body. Esme really stuck on me because of how she could just love unconditionally. She was so gentle and so tender-hearted, that even though Esme is a vampire, she just seemed fragile almost herself. I guess my feelings warmed for Esme because being a mother myself, I could relate to what she felt.

Anyway, I'd have to say Esme, Alice and Jacob are probably my top favorite characters in the entire series followed by Edward and then Bella. I thought Rosalie was a vain bitch who seriously needed to get over herself. Emmett was a comic relief who made me laugh quite often, especially a scene during Midnight Sun. The bear hunting scene. xD I lol'd. Anyway, really good books, decently written, though they have their flaws and quite enjoyable over all.

My mom is a huge fan...and Bella, I read it before it was known by mass audiences as well, so we're in the same boat. I thought the books were great, to be honest, and Bella becoming a vampire was too inevitable for any words...Contradicting that, I still believe it was a great series.

Midnight Sun is awesome...I have a leaked copy that my mom let me borrow, but I didnt finish it yet...getting there though. btw, the experiment 2.0...how did you read all of it...dont get these people confused, little brother. I have the copy..straight face for that, little dude...-_-

The books are actually trash. The writing style is immature and unsophisticated; my 9 year old sister actually writes better prose. The storyline itself is pathetic and the characters are unbelievably 2d and undeveloped. Its also quite a sexist book too.

Meyer can't write- end of. She's a terrible writer. Absolutely abysmal.

Hey guys, I just started reading the series today. I am currently around page 60 of the first book.

I saw the film on sale in my local area and am just wondering if the movie follows the book faithfully.

Since I am thinking of maybe buying the DVD and watching after I have read the book.

What I am trying to say is the movie any good?

Also I may consider going to the cinemas to see the second film as well since the movie version of the second book is out this year. Even though I haven't completed reading any of the books as yet.

The books are just great , love all of them . But i think the ending in the last book could have been better, like they could kick the ass of them Volturi bastards ^^ haha, Yes the movie follows the book pretty good i think atleast if you compare it to other books who became movies :D And New Moon is a must on the cinemas , cant wait !

Ok thanks man, anywayz I have read the first three books though I wanna know if when Breaking Dawn is coming out in paperback. Anyone know?

Also got any trailers for the New moon movie cuz I wanna check that out as well?
