Ultimecia's final form freaks me out

The first time I played the game I thought the whitish bottom part of the final boss is just some kind of accessory or dangles or part of a curtain.

But it's actually Ultimecia herself (or is it?) surrounded by veins and arteries :gasp:

I am sure most of you notice this. But let's discuss on it further. Here's my own interpretation:

So the top part doesn't appear to have any distinguishable face. It's just a ball of light. This makes it look robotic and is apparently controlled by some other source of power. So we can assume that the bottom part is her physical body which she has left.

Now her soul/consciousness lives in this powerhouse epic vessel on top. But of course she can't risk having completely deserting her physical body. So she created some circulatory system between her new robotic body and her physical body to ensure that everything about her survives.

What do you think? I am sorry if this is explained before.

Her curtain like bottom is like the floor they all stand on right? Because I think I made her go flying in the air once and it took the whole floor with her. I dunno I didn't study her too much cause my tv screen is too small XD I like her weird self being at the bottom and her soul goodness being at the top. Her final form is better than most final bosses so :D
 
Haha! I totally didn't know the bottom half was her body! dude that looks awesome! You know if you draw off her you get Apocolypse? cast it as a double or triple on her :)

Back on topic though, Man i totally learned something new!
 
I don't even remember that.

I was never freaked out by her.

I think they might of taken that concept and used it for Anima. Just an observation.
 
i guess that you could call it nightmare fuel. ;)) Didn't she decide to use griever's power and combined bodies with griever to try and kill squall and the rest. So maybe that's what is left of her body ripped in half ?? I think I just made the creepiness worse.

lol my squall died on like the second form of ulticema and got sent away so all i had was zell and rinoa for the final form of ulticema.. I "kitchen sinked" that bitch as i like to call it, spamming zells combo limit breaks while i healed with rinoa.. It was actually really fun..
 
I remember reading some theory that Ultimecia's final form was suppose to represent Hyne. According to the game's legend, he split himself into two, and Ulti's final form is essentially two halves, right? :hmmm:

And yeah, when I first saw Anima in FFX, I thought Ultimecia :lew:
 
If the Rinoa=Ultimecia theory is right then the upper part is Ultimecia and the lower part is Rinoa. That creeps me. If you don't know about the R=U theory, you should read it somewhere. :D
 
SE confirmed R=U is not true,sadly =/

Imo,it would make more sense if it was canon,though.
 
I have researched on the R=U theory a long time ago and I find it quite interesting though its confirmed false. Even if it is true, how do you explain Ultimecia trying to kill Rinoa when she was possessing Edea in Deling City? And also, when you use Rinoa in the final battle, Ultimecia attacks her equally.

For further information, if you go back to the past and kill your past self, you will not exist in the future (obviously). BUT since you do not exist, you can't go back to the past at the first place, so your past self is not killed. So you exist? it's too mind boggling >_>

Oh and I like the splitting into two theory.

Just a thought.

If it was real I think Ultimecia would attack Rinoa equally for a few reasons. 1. She is too far gone mentally, and is just trying to destroy everything. or 2. She is in too much pain and decides it would be best to stop herself from ever being with Squall, so she decides to kill herself in the past. The way I see it is that the going back in time has to start some place, though it really won't make sense. xD

The Splitting theory is intriguing. :hmm:

Wow, what made you spot this? You're right, that is hella creepy..

I haven't played that battle on a large tv screen before (I also thought it was a curtain sort of thing) and it's also been a long time since I've played the game, but if I remember correctly you're kind of in some weird space-like environment during that fight, so the upside-downness would kind of work.

I looked on google but couldn't find any larger pictures of her in that form.. ah, well.. Thanks for sharing that.
 
I had always been creeped out by Ultimecia's final form because it was so weird looking and the top half had no face. Never really paid attention to the bottom half. Now seeing that the bottom half really is her, that's just even more creepy. :gasp:

:O I never noticed that! She's creepy enough as it is with no face and stuff, let alone having her real body dangling down beneath her. And the face is really wierd and freaky-looking. That's nightmare-inducing stuff there. Almost as bad as when I first saw Squall with no face, now that was scary, still is actually.

Yeah there is also the message on the Timber TV that's from Adel and it says "I'm still alive " " I'm stuck here " things like that. Adel has been in space in the last seventeen years and she <or he ? > can still move, think and feel. Imagine being stuck in a place for 17 years and you can still think but you're stuck and can't move. Creepy.

Remember for even more scary stuff that this almost happened to Rinoa, imagine if Squall didn't save her or he was too late...:gonk:
 
I like to face her fair and square, no limit breaks, only magic that gives the final battle a better feeling than just Renzokukend her.
 
If the R=U theory applied to the situation, Ultimecia didn't remember who she was anyway, having gone completely stark raving mad. Hence why she never recognised Squall or even her former self. Which would've made it utterly lame it R=U was true, because it would've been one of the most under-explored plot twists in FF history (even more so than
Laguna suddenly meeting this random kid from Garden and realising he's his son and not even saying anything...did he even realise it?
