Using a PS1 Memory Card with a PS2

Everyone knows that certain off-brand memory cards will not interchange between a PS1 and a PS2. There are some, though, that are made to interchange. However, I don't know what those are. Sorry!
 
hmmm mine works but i have to insert it and take it out and put it back in sometimes
 
does it actually apper on your ps2 browser?
if not try hitting the memory card a few times :)

No worries though, i'll just get a new PSOne card, they are only about £1 or something hahaha!
 
Hmm, I have 6 ps1 memory cards(all non-sony) and they all work on my slim. Whoever sold you the card was a moron, you dont have to format anything. You mustve got a bad card or something.
 
I don't know the region you live so I don't know if I can help but whenever I needed a PS1 memory card I just went to Gamestop and they had packs of 3 for like 5 bucks. I don't know if you live anywhere near one of those stores but if not then any store near you that is just for selling video games should have some memory cards.
