Lady GaGa Feat. Colby O'Donis - Just Dance

Still love this song, it's different from any other kind of dance song I've ever heard of. Love the constant beat throughout and adding Colby O'Donis in there is genius. He's got a really steady, strong voice. It gets me really excited when it's played!

Wandering Eye - Fat Freddy's Drop

Fat Freddy's Drop are a Jazz/Reggae band with a quite a laid back style. Wandering Eye is a pretty good example of their work, it has got a synthesizer, saxophone and trumpets in the song. The lead singer, Joe Dukie has a really rich, smooth voice that suits the song perfectly.

Prague - Muse
The b-side to Resistance. I don't know if it's a good cover or not since I haven't heard the original, but I quite like it now that I've given it a few listens. It's not really something you'd usually associate with Muse, so it's a bit weird.

Aly & AJ - Potential Breakup Song

Don't normally like acts from Disney because they're normally cheesy, but these two sisters are definitely an exception. Their voices blend in well together and both have a set of lungs on them. It's the first song I heard from and I still love it, so glad I downloaded it back to my iTunes again. Love the electric guitar in the middle especially.

Drumming Song - Florence & The Machine
One of my favourite tracks from the album. I'm fairly obsessed with Lungs at the minute, I think this is about the fourth time I've listened to it today.

Violin - Kate Bush

Like most Kate Bush songs, I have no idea what the hell she's singing, apart from "violin violin violin" during the chorus. Regardless, it's still an amazing song, and her voice astounds me. She's so wonderfully weird and creative, you know a song is hers before she starts to sing, she's brilliant. Violin is one of her best songs, I love how loud and epic it gets and the music is brilliant, I love how she's used guitar and drums here.

Lesley Gore - California Nights

Probably couldn't sound any more sixties if it tried, that isn't such a bad thing though. I'm not sure if this was ever on a film soundtrack but it sounds like it was made specifically for one. I'm not so keen on some of the instrumentation used in this song compared to some fo her others but it's still a good track nonetheless; the way the chorus seems to burst in is pretty cool.

The Quiet Things No One Ever Knows, by Brand New.

My god, this song is amazing. I absolutely love it. The whole power-edge they gave it, it drags me out of bad moods for some reason. I'm in LOVE with the chorus. It's great.

Covering this song is definitely considered. :wacky:

Song: From Yesterday

Artist: 30 Seconds to Mars

Right...I don't know what it is about this song, but it's just so gorgeous and SO powerful. The guitars in the very beginning, the riff being played and Jared's beautiful vocals are so soft and easy going, you just feel yourself falling into the song. Then when the chorus hits and the guitars get heavier and the drums pound harder, the vocals become even more powerful and filled with emotion. This is why I love their music so much. It's just full of emotion and meaning. This song is no exception. The whole video was filmed in China with a beautiful Chinese theme directed by Jared and it's just phenomenal. WATCH IT!

Rhapsody of Fire - Unholy Warcry

Man, I love these guys. They've got awesome lyrics, awesome cameos, and they're a symphonic Power Metal band! HOW CAN YOU GO WRONG?! The answer... You can't. :mokken:

They've got Christopher Lee in this song... COUNT DUKOO A.K.A SAURON THE WHITE BITCHES!

Yes! :awesome: love this song. My favorite by them is "Magic of the Wizard's Dream". I know it's a ballad but it's still really epic :mokken:

And...now that's what I'm listening to. Damned peer pressure :)

Hurricane by 30 Seconds To Mars, been listening to the songs from all albums today. Started on the latest album, i'm going from latest album to oldest. That and the randomizer is on so Hurricane came on first.

If We Ever Meet Again - Timbaland ft Katy Perry

Because I like the collaboration between Pop and R&B. Timbaland is a good producer and music maker and Katy has good vocals, I like the music and it's a good mixture of sounds.

JLS - One Shot

Even though I despise the awfully produced video, I still adore the song. I do think it's better than Beat Again and Everybody In Love combined together. It's finally nice to see a boyband that divides the vocals between each member. The song's reflective upon the kind of relationship that can make or break in a moment.

Britney - 3

Can't get this song out of my head for some reason. It's not THAT great, but the beat is very addictive.

I was a fan at first but now I'm kinda 'meh' about it.

Still, it is a decent song but only one I would listen to every now and then.

Sugababes - About A Girl

I love this because it's about the power of the female gender and how everyone can often underestimate them. Jade Ewen's vocals are far stronger than Keisha and as much as I liked the last version of the Sugababes, I prefer this version to the original one. Jade makes the song more feminine. Love Heidi's voice in this especially, it sounds very different from what I usually hear from her.

Parachute - Cheryl Cole

I'm not too keen on Cheryl, but this song is alright and I think the meaning is that some will be there to catch her when she falls and seems to take place between her and Ashley.

Lady GaGa - Paparazzi

It's one of the slower songs and it works very well. When it first came out, it sort of scared me for a while. I came around eventually and started to see it more as the nightmareish video I once saw it as. Her voice is brilliantly showcased here and although it's weird and wacky (as she normally is), it's outrageously fantastic. The video is detailed and brings the song more to life.
