Diana Vickers - Once

I was iffy about this for the first few listens. Diana Vickers is one of those marmite singers, you either love or hate her. But I gave this a chance after a while and I find the chorus particularly catchy. It's unusual to see an X Factor contestant do so well after not winning and eventually hitting the #1 spot. I can definitely see the appeal behind this song.

10/10

The Hymn of the Fayth. Because i am watching a ridiculously long cutscene in FFX right about now. But yeah i just came over this thread while waiting for the scene to be over, so that's what i'm listening to.

Your Ex-Lover is Dead by Stars

Very pretty. They have the instrumentation of a harmonica, harmonic drums, strings, and acoustic guitar and of course those horns, trumpets, and that piano just ties into a dreamy soundscape. The singers . . . marry the song with their voices. That's it really. It's two parts heartbreaking and one part hopeful.

Kelly Clarkson - My Life Would Suck Without You

It's recently become my favourite song again and I love how upbeat it is throughout. I've always been a fan of these kind of songs and am glad that Kelly's returned to this style, especially since it was dark in My December. It's one of those songs you can sing along to and it gets you really happy.

Sable on Blond - Stevie Nicks

I hated this song with a passion ever since I downloaded the album, I just didn't get it at all. The opening, with the two backup girls doing "ooaah" is still awful, but the rest of the song is brilliant. The lyrics really mean something to mean, and the vocal delivery is excellent. It's a really dark song, and it's one of the best on the album.

Treasure by Flyleaf

Love this song because it's beautiful. It also stirs some emotions that I once had towards a certain someone. I kinda see this song as more romantic than what it's Christian lyrics seem to suggest.

My Last Breath

As you can see in my current sig I love this song. I never get tired of it. The lyrics are so poetic. For some reason it makes me picture the scene of dying in someones arms. If I ever were to die in my lover's arms I'd want to say some of the same things!

Killing in the Name - Rage Against The Machine, 10/10

This is currently my Halo 3 kick-ass music. XD

I've found that listening to certain music while playing makes me play better XD

anywhoozles, it's a really good song. I was glad when it beat the Xfactor winner to be the #1 song on the charts back in December. I pretty much grew up on music like RATM, Nirvana, Metallica, White Zombie, etc etc... I spent more time with my dad, because my mom worked days, so I got into hard rock at an early age :wacky: I've always liked Tom Morello's guitar style, which is why I always liked Audioslave....and I do like Zack de la Rocha's vocals, although sometimes he does get on my nerves...

Marvellous - The Lightning Seeds
They get far too little recognition these days, and will probably only ever really be known for Three Lions. I'd rank this as one of their very best though, really good lyrics and a simple beat that's catchy.

CheVelle - One Lonely Visitor

This is a great slow rock song from CheVelle. His lyrics and vocals are amazing. He sounds so sexy. The song just speaks volumes to me when I listen to it.

It's a really good song and it truly is one of their bests.

:highfive:

Right now though, for me...

FFIV (SNES version)-- "Within The Giant"

This is the theme that plays (obviously) when in FFIV you
go inside the Giant of Babil to destroy it.
And this music is absolutely freaking phenomenal. It's got unusual, "futuristic" I suppose sound effects, a very earnest lead horn instrument, and a sweeping orchestra partway in the second half that gives a very foreboding, "almost-at-the-end-of-the-game" feeling. It's probably one of my favorite themes in the entire series, and one of the reasons I enjoy this game's soundtrack the most out of all of them. I was actually rather disappointed by the DS version, but as long as I can still listen to this version (knocks on wood) I'll be happy :griin:

Days (8 bits of tears YMCK remix) - Ayumi Hamasaki

This is quickly becoming my favorite remix of one of her songs. Sounds so good! Plus this is one of my favorites off of NEXT LEVEL.

Music: Old Snake -MGS4 OST

I've been listening to a lot of soundtracks from this game. I guess that Metal Gear never gets old. The final battle between Liquid and Solid always gets to me. I fine way to die. :sad3:

Mamma Mia Cast - Waterloo

Heh, just love it when I hear this song comes on. It appears at the end of the credits of the film and it's so random. It's one of those songs that anyone could sing along to and it's so upbeat all the while.
