The Decemberists - The Crane Wife

This was my favourite record of 2006. Excellent on their previous three albums, there's no drop in quality as the band starts to show more ambition in their indie-folk style, with two very long multi-part songs (and they took this further on their concept album-themed next record). And their lyrical ability to tell a story is as good as ever.

Listen Up [Live] - Noel Gallagher
Taken from The Dreams We Have As Children, which he did solo a couple of years ago. Weirdly with this album, it's Oasis' lesser known songs which he performs better on. I don't like Wonderwall or Slide Away, but I think Fade Away and this are really good.
 
Kings and Queens - 30 Seconds to Mars

I just love this band, I really do. Jared's vocals are incredible and he gets better with every album made. I've been living off of them for the last 2 weeks and I still can't get enough. Video is good too! \ll/

I am so in love with this song. <3

Very proud of myself for not overplaying either. Don't want to get sick of it.

I really love the start of the song. It sounds so pretty and doesn't sound like it would be an upbeat song. >.<

Stop Draggin' My Heart Around - Stevie Nicks & Tom Petty and The Heartbreakers.

I love this song, everything about it works. The witchy moans in the background, the glorious harmonization between Stevie and Tom, and the band playing. It all matches together so well. The chorus is so infectious, I find myself humming it all day xD
 
The Overworld Theme from E.V.O: The Search for Eden (composer Koichi Sugiyama)

I was suddenly in the mood to listen to a different song from this soundtrack and then I ran across this one :awesome: This is the theme that plays in the overworld when you are moving to a new area to explore. The last time I played this game, I actually had recently come into possession of four colored 60-watt light bulbs--red, yellow, green, and blue--and I remember I put a different one in my floor lamp for each stage of evolution to set the mood--blue for the ocean stage, yellow for insect desert/small reptiles, green for the dinosaurs, red for the mammals :D It actually set the mood really nicely, especially with this overworld theme :) This song actually reminds me very much of the Toroia theme from FFIV too, one of my favorite game songs of all time :yay:

One of the best earlier works from them. It really shows the kind of band they should have been. =/ Unfortunately after this album they got all mellow and stuff. :(

Well, it's certaintly got a spanish essence about it. The music is upbeat, quite different to her other music. This song is destined for a Top 10 hit. It's supposubly her favourite song from the album too. I quite like the song. I've got to get into it, I love every other song. The song is catchy, and sweet. A lot of hard work. Love it.
 
Found Dan Balan's Crazy Loop...almost forgot I had it. It's such a weird little song and the music video's even weirder.

Kings of Leon - Notion

This song is just so epic. I love his voice and how classic-rock it sounds. There's nothing amazingly WOW! in guitar but its simplicity is why I love it so much. How he repeats "Don't knock it" is so addictive and mesmerizing. His voice is slow and sexy and I just love it.

9th Revolver - alice nine.

I don't know myself, I suffer everytime.

Once you stop laughing at the major ENGRISH in this song, it's a very dark and touching song. It is unusual for alice nine., but they pull it off beautifully. :3 Also, Shou's voice is to die for!
