[V7] What are you currently listening to?


I love the lyrics for this one. Depressing, about aging and how good things do not last, etc, but nice imagery! :thehead:

Some nice mythological allusions within (Helen of Sparta/Troy, the concept of a 'Promised Land', etc). That's fairly typical of Genesis during this period (this being the first album with Phil Collins as the lead singer, so the feel isn't too dissimilar from Gabriel-era Genesis).
 

I will not be judged. Yes, I sometimes listen to Epcot music to relax. I was lucky enough to visit Epcot as a child and it truly captured my imagination. So much more than just a theme park, and the music certainly helped to create that wondrous atmosphere!
 

Just another playlist to relax to while doing things. Final Fantasy IX is a special game.
 

I can relate to these lyrics and the feeling sometimes. And sometimes you really do need to hear a comforting voice like Kate Bush’s saying “Don’t give up”. Especially in this past year or so.
 
I participated in one of the fetes last month and the BGM is still stuck in my head........ it makes me so happy lol I love it so much (I miss HW so much)

 

Don't really have anything profound to say about this one, but it is a good song with some interesting lyrics.

I haven't encountered these fetes at all. I had no idea they existed. I love that they are doing more with Ishgard these days.
 
Dionysos it's part of the firmament in Ishgard! (crafter/gatherer stuff), it was especially fun seeing the progress with the restoration throughout the years (my fav section is definitely the Snowsoak Springs :P



will I ever shut up about fata morgana? no. do I still get emotional when I think about it? maybe.
 

Dead Can Dance can be very relaxing and stirring for the imagination. This one in particular (being ancient Greek inspired) is close to my heart.
 

I'm still sad that we'll never get to hear the first version of this theme in the game, I mean I like the full version but.... I don't know ;___; this one with soken's incoherent mumbling just fits the mood of endwalker better IDK IM SAD

I've known about this song for many years, but only last night when I (finally, after three postponements) saw Genesis perform live and Phil Collins explained the story did I find out what it was actually about. It is about a burglar breaking into a haunted house and finding ghosts in it, and the ghosts prevent him from leaving and tell their tales to him for eternity.

I always liked the song, but it has another layer to it for me now.

For the same reasons as my above post, pretty much.
I find the opening quite relaxing, and I love the build up.
 

He's got a funny face, but I like that,
'Cause he still looks cool.
 

Doing some work & chilling out to some music. Love the melancholic feel of this song ('Hollow' specifically in this case; the entire track was posted in this one video, but check this thread for more info) It's great ambiance & great BG music to work along to.
 
why does the mid dungeon boss music sound better than the final boss one............ i'm obsessed with it (is endwalker out yet)
