I dont see why there is so much hate. I didnt like Vaan much, but I didnt hate him either. Better character than the bland ones of the first three FF games.
 
*sigh* Well... I suppose it could be worse. They could put Kimahri in, or something. THAT would ruin my day.

Could you just imagine what it'd be like if they actually DID put Kimahri in it. I can just picture one of his lines around this area: "Kimahri say GO AWAY!" :wacky:
 
I knew he'd be in it. But no, when I brought it up to a certain community, I was insulted and called a rabid, illogical fanboy (which is offensive! I'm a girl!) who was just day dreaming.

And I don't like Vaan. Well, I like him but Balthier or Ashe would have been better.

Because of the scan, I will beat up on him with Terra. Shouldn't be touchin' her like that! :C
 
I doubt they will put another FFXII character in it either. This would mark the second one for the game. Then again, there are now 3 FFIV and 3 FF7 characters.

As long as Irvine never gets put in it >_>. While I wouldnt flip out, Id rather have them put say, Zell or Selphie in it (probably Selphie due to different fighting style than Tifa).

But geez, some of you guys need to calm down. I mean, Im not too big on SE these days due to some of their decisions, but damn.
 
Who is the...oh wait, you mean Golbeza as the third or has another good guy been announced?

I will be really annoyed if they put anymore thieves into the game....we have enough now :gasp:

Cecil, Golbez, and Kain.

I really don’t care that much. He’s one of my least favourite characters from that game, and for me it is a shame that Balthier didn’t get into the game, but congrats for those who do like Vaan and are excited by this.


It's not the first time that the makers of a Dissidia have given me a character that I would rather have replaced by another, so I can't really moan and say that this wasn't expected.
 
so i get to beat up on all the other supposedly hax and totally awesome protags with a character that the fanbase seems to hate. neat-o. give him scathe and I'm sold.
 
Well, I doubt Balthier would have been in it either way, just like I dont ever expect Vincent to be in it. Their associated weapon is a gun. Which would really break the gameplay IMO
 
The worst character in FFXII gets put into Dissidia. What an unsurprising and thoroughly idiotic decision.

Gods, I HATE Vaan. He's so out-of-place in FFXII. I don't even consider him the main character - you just have the misfortune of running around as him. His voice alone makes me want to set fire to something. Basch would have made a much better choice for the game. Balthier would have been awesome. Hell, even PENELO would have been better. But NO. They go with Vaan.

look on the bright side mate, you can 1) beat him up, or 2) use him to beat up all the 'cool' kids and post the videos on youtube to troll the fanbase.

It's just a silly Final Fantasy character and nothing to shit a brick over. Hell I never cared for Tidus all that much and I didn't complain when he was in the first Dissidia, and they managed to make him awesome in that game so maybe they'll do the same for Vaan.
 
Ayen dont take it to seriously.

Tidus was awesome in FFX Vaan was not awesome in FFXII he was a prat and made that game painful. He will simply do the same thing in Dissidia 2 he has no unique skills and his fighting style is lame and exactly the same as his brothers Rex.
 
This doesn't bother me. If them botching Terra's character in the last Dissidia wasn't enough to ruin the overall experience of the game for me than neither is this. I would argue that ruining a loved and well established character is worse than adding in a character the fanbase doesn't particularly care for.

It is not bothering me. There are just so many more awesome characters in Final Fantasy XII but out of all of them it just HAD to be Vaan. I really wanted it to be Princess Ashelia but oh well. Anyone could have done a better job than him. Even Larsa.

I completely forgot about him. I loved his character so much...so much coolness. :busta:
 
It would've been so cool if Larsa had made it in Duodecim. He would've been one of my mains. T__T

From what I've heard, Vaan is really popular in Japan, which is probably the reason why he got in Duodecim. I heard he was really funny in the Japanese version of FFXII. >__>
I'm still dissapointed Vaan got in, but hey, at least I found my new punching bag now. So I guess some good will come out of this.
