Was Yunalesca really that hard?

I had a weak party with HP around mid 3000s and found no challenge, It was quite fun actually. Just like that sky worm thing that you fight when you are on you're way to get Yuna. How did your time with Lady Yunalesca go?

I found her really tough the 1st time I played through 10, but that was because of her zombie and death moves. After I made a way around this, and leveled a bit to get Holy with Yuna, she was fine.
Still, I dread it every time I come up against her, 'cause there's always a chance I'll lose.

Yunalesca was SUCH a troll! :rage: I had such a hard time with her the first ten times (or so) I faced her... The final time I faced her was a breeze and I basically did a "WTF"...

She's not unbeatable (OBV) but she's in NO shape or form "EASY"

i didn't find any of 10 hard, other than the fact that i had to sit through far too many tedious overly emotional cutscenes. yunalesca can be beaten with the exact same tactic as every other boss; start with your overdrives

I didn't have to heal, zombie negates death anyhow.

i had a mare with her the first time i faced her, even when i was well levelled i had to pay attention to what i was doing rather than button bashing, which ive done on other bosses

Overall, the battle wasn't that difficult to me but since I wasn't using a guide, I didn't expect megadeath. I had healed zombie on everyone so it killed my entire party. The next time I just left one person as a zombie and the battle was a cinch.

Frankly, not at all. I had more problems with the boss you fought on the Hill on your way down to Zanarkand. Name escapes me as I've not touched this game in years. The whole megadeath thing did throw me the first time around but when you knew what was coming, it was a breeze.

I'm really looking forward to go through this game again. But I'm making myself wait for the HD version.

I had to choose my moves very carefully, but it wasn't too hard. :) Far easier than Evrae had been, since I knew more about the battle system and had levelled my characters up to a more suitable level. :hmmm: I'm afraid I was using a guide though. :sad3: I use them in order to avoid missing secrets which contribute to the story. :/

It wasn't hard, more like annoying :mokken:
Her moves that turned her into a zombie, and then you had to stay a zombie to stop one of her moves from killing you right away in her next forum...annoying.

She is tough the first time you play the game, like most of the big FFX bosses actually. I had trouble with all the Seymour battles the first time I played and the Sin battle with the overdrive gauge. But as soon as you've beaten the game a few times it's quite easy.

Probably safe to say the first couple of times (depending on your levels) you'll get beat by her, then when you figure out the pattern of her moves and know when she turns the party into zombies, you can counter it pretty easily.

I haven't played Final Fantasy X in ages, but I think last time I fought her she wasn't too bad. You just need to have two characters with Zombie and one without Zombie, from memory.

I got my arse handed to me the first few times I fought her, but once I had her figured out, she wasn't too difficult. Seymour Flux was in my opinion by far the hardest boss in my opinion. I got wiped out by total annihilation so many times I am genuinely surprised my controller survived my rage.

I was afraid when we started the battle with yunalesca, but I think I might have over trained, so it was a breeze. The Death and Zombie attacks did tick me off, but I was fast enough to get rid of the effect and thrash her.

:gasp: Seriously?!
I had a difficult time beating Yunalesca (not really hard, but relatively harder than other bosses), healing the zombies, summoning an Aeon so they can "Immune" her Megadeath. PLUS the aeons are so weak they die after Yunalesca perform two Drain attacks. :brooding:
Not the smartest player, I know.

She's about the same difficulty as the Spectral Keeper, me thinks.
