TO be honest I care little for Kings of Leon but this is one of the best songs I've ever heard, the lyrics are amazing and the beat etc are simply stunning. Great sing.
Cornershop are mainly known in the UK for the remix of their song Brimful of Asha. But this album (which came a few years after that song) is one of the great forgotten albums of this decade so far, brimming with life and party songs and a 15-minute pyschedelic wig-out track. The only downside is they've still not followed it up.
Emotional Rescue - The Rolling Stones
6/10
It's a pretty poor song. The only reason I listen to it is because of the falsetto that it is sung in. It makes it funny and unusual.
What You Are - Audioslave
Helps keep the general tone and style of the album. It sounds similar-ish to a couple of their other songs (Gasoline comes to mind in particular), but it's by no means one to skip. The only problem I really have is that the last 20 seconds or so are forgettable.
It's just a classic one, it always makes me happy when I listen to it, and it's not one I just skip either. It's only an 8 though because Florence Ballard and Mary Wilson are criminally underused in the song. Diana Ross is a good singer, but those two are my favourite part of The Supremes - they have superb voices, and it sucks when they're drowned out for Miss Ross
In A Heartbeat - In The House
The somewhat famous soundtrack from 28 Days/Weeks Later. It's been used in a few other productions, such as the end of the final episode of the first series of Hex. Anyway, the way it builds is amazing. At first it's calm, and then it has you nodding along by the end. I love the chilling sound throughout it.
Doll Parts - Hole
9/10
The start reminds me of Pennyroyal Tea.
It's a pop/alternative song, and it has a melancholy sound which goes well witht he song.
One of the best songs ever, it always make me feel happeh! I expect I am annoying the neighbours aswel because it is rather loud, but it's a damn good song and everyone should hear it, especially next door who have a shiiiiite taste in music
One of my favourite ABBA songs, the chorus is so catchy! And the girls voices are just perfect when they sing together. It really should be more popular D=
There's nothing terribly original about it all, it's a mix of shoegaze and rock, but it's all done so well you don't mind. There's a real driving force behind some of the tracks, the final one is relentless. Not amazing, but worth a listen.
song Teleport: A & B
artist The Spill Canvas
album One Fell Swoop
rating 8/10 opinion I think it's a really good song, and I love the lyrics towards the end of it; however it's not as catchy as some of their other songs.
