What cheered you up today?

Firstly, an official welcome back, FFF. I know we've had upgrades and server moves and all, but I've given myself unnecessary headache with all the nameserver propagation thing going on stopping me from getting on, so I'm relieved to finally get back on again.

Secondly - thank God, it's half term. A week off, even if it is mostly to get coursework and assignments done. Then I'll be off to visit one or two universities before I return to college the week after, so things should be good. :ryan:

My boss stuck up to me when I had a customer with a bad attiude. It really makes me realise that I've got people to back me up whenever times get bad. :)
 
I got really nice presents from my parents for Steve and my engagement.

They wanted to wait until they saw what other people got us before they bought our present which was a good idea. =)

A nice pretty silver photo frame that has 'Engagement' written on it and a nice knife set to cut the cake with. I didn't have it at the time of the party and that's what sparked mums idea that I should have had a nice knife to cut the cake with.

No big drama at the time. I wasn't fussed. It's nice she got us one now though for a keepsake. =)
 
My Dad really surprised me today, I got a phone call off my mum telling me to get up and get dressed as she and my Dad wanted to take me somewhere. Turns out, he's buying me a flat and then renting it out to me and my friend. It's absolutely MASSIVE, and considering how much the estate agents are asking for it, my Dad's going to be renting it to me and my friend for an absolute bargain price. Super excited.
 
OMG Steve bought me the most beautiful necklace today!

It's a gold heart with diamonds around the outside! It was $659 but we got it for $299!

It was a Valentines slash early birthday present.

I haven't had a nice necklace to wear for a while so this was just so exciting when I got it! It looks so good on! =0
 
I got thirteen packages of toilet paper as an anniversary present from my mom!

She's like "Come over this afternoon" so we walked into her house and I could not stop laughing :rofl: And it's double roll, two ply and everything :ryan: The only thing is, I have absolutely no idea where we're going to put it :ffs:

What cheered me up today.....I got paid, so i pre=ordered Pokemon Black and lay-by'd a DSlite :ryan:

I got this booklet thing that explains the fundamentals of the new games! Looks awesome! :jess:
 
I finally found the shoes i wanted in the colour I wanted and in My size!!! After searching far and wide they have finally become mine :D

Then, I got suckered into buying some awesome sexy boots which kinda made me sad coz I wasted money but I love them so I am still cheery!
 
The fact that my lecture for today has been cancelled. Batty Dotty usually makes it, but she's fallen ill for once, and it saves me having to email her since I really didn't want to go with my sore throat. I'm evil for saying I won't miss it, but honestly, who even cares? :wacky:
 
My New York Knicks beat the Miami Heat last night, one of the best teams in the NBA.

My next door neighbor is probably pissed and wants to call the cops on me because of how much I yelled during the game since it was a close game, but I was pumped since the weekend started off sucky, so it ended with a bang! :D
 
Wednesday's lecture has been moved from 10-1 to 1:30-4:30 which is perfectly fine by me because that means I don't have to get up early. My friend also said she'll sign the register for me tomorrow so I can go shopping. Epic win. :ryan:
 
None of the managers were at work today, so it was a nice relaxing day, which I totally needed due to it only being my second day back and I really needed peace and quiet to catch up on a shitload of paperwork.

I had a splitting headache too, so I didn't really feel like being nagged too much today. XD
 
I've managed to swap shifts with a friend from work for Saturday. I'm attending a 21st birthday meal and it only means I can have a brilliant Saturday for once! Well chuffed, especially since my boss was fine with it. Which is unusual for him.
 
I found out that no managers will be at work again tomorrow. =D

I will get so much done and have a nice relaxing day. :gonk:

And my manager told me today that I can go home early tomorrow because I worked late tonight!

I'm going back to my old hours as of next week due to personal reasons too! No more 45+ hour weeks for Kandy.
