What cheered you up today?

First...I have off today. I was able to sleep in this morning which was wonderful, since I was worn out from work this weekend.

Second...I just made myself a fabulous breakfast and coffee :inlove: ...and since I have off today I am going to get a lot done around the house today. Probably some yardwork since it's supposed to be nice outside today, and then I'm going to put out our Halloween decorations...and go to the mall because I have a couple of coupons for our bath store and I'm going to get some of my Christmas shopping done early...which is great :griin:

I also have a couple of packages coming in the mail...one from Amazon and the other from Sephora...and I at least expect the Amazon one to arrive today :inlove:

I finally received The Scorpion King 1 and 2 in the mail today!

I was so happy it came today, otherwise I would have had to wait until after the weekend to receive it. >.<

It took me the longest time to figure out that The Scorpion King 2 was the movie I remember watching ages ago, but forgot the name of. I found out by asking a question on yahoo and then went and bought it on the Big W website immediately so I would never forget it again! :gasp:

I watched it tonight and loved it. <3

Yesterday night I got my religious presentation mark for my R+K class (Religion and Knowledge) I absolutely aced it and I am really proud. I got 90% on it and it raised my mark for the course greatly. It put a smile on my face for quite a bit of time. The semester is now going much better, so I am really happy about that.

I've actually had a decent amount of sleep. Despite the Irish snap drinking game we were playing, no one really got drunk, as a few of the guys wanted to stay sober for the football team trials this morning. In fact, nearly everyone seemed to be close to the point of passing out due to exhaustion, bar one person a couple of rooms away from me who decided to play the Russian national anthem and dress up for the occasion at around 11:30pm. Compared to the previous night though, it was actually peaceful.

I got to leave work nearly on time today. That's a first in ages!

The managers are all at a conference in Sydney for the next few days so I'll have a chance to get things done that I need to get done. >.<

Steve is also in the process of cooking the most delicious Mince Chow Mein I have ever smelt in my life. :gonk:

The smell is wafting into the computer room. >.<

After I got done with all my midterm homework(was a handfull and a half), I went down town cosplayed as Sora and with some friends dressed as Shizuo from Durarara, another dressed as L, the other as Kaine and the last dressed as a box of pockey(Lord only knows why he did that). And from there on out, we just harassed a bunch of people, ate, harassed some more people, bought stuff, and harassed some more people on the train back home. Lol. I think that we celebrated Halloween kinda early.
But it'll be more epic when Halloween actually comes along. Party time!XD

2 things cheered me up today.

1) picked up Gunslinger Girl(entire series slim box set)
2) finally bought the last season of DragonBallZ that I needed to complete my entire set. (season 3)

I logged into College mail just before and my marks have went up. I passed my Psych test I did yesterday, and I am proud of that. In Novel English class, I currently have 100% on the homework and in class mini assignments part, so that brought my grade up really high. I got my English presentation part done today and I was not nervous at all. I think I talked a really long time, and that was slightly embarrassing. The teacher was always smiling so I guess that indicates that I did a good job. I am really happy about this semester. I am currently doing really well in all my courses. Of course, Volleyball does not have a mark yet. Finished my term project for WL&P as well. So that is two MAJOR assignments done. That means I have less hell. Still a little bit on my plate... but it will pose no threat.

I found out today that my small holiday was approved!

I applied for next Friday through till the following Tuesday off work!

I have 3 days and 5 hours of time owing to me, so I'm so glad they let me take it all at once.

Once it gets to November we're not allowed time off due to Christmas, so I really pushed it as it's the last week of October I'll be having the days off. XD

So excited! I hope I make the most of it and read those books I desperately want to read and then play a few games I've not touched in ages!

I got some cool stuff from a firelands raid, for once this tier. :monster:

A few concepts in chemistry finally 'clicked' today. For a while I was really struggling to understand some of the math. Our current unit is heat, which seems to be much easier, since there's only a few equations and I've already memorized them. I knew from the beginning that it would just take time for me to comprehend, so I'm overjoyed I finally understand it. According to my former history teacher, chemistry is probably the hardest class I'll take throughout high school, which is also very comforting. :ohoho: ...but then again, next year I'm taking AP physics... :hmph:

was col;d today.. which annoryed.. but then me and sarah had a drawing session on zigzag.... it was awesome :inlove:

I set up my PS2 today and played FFX for the first time in ages. <3

Was so good. I can't believe how much I'd forgotten already since the last time I played it.

It'll be good to refresh my memory and continue on with my fanfiction story that still needs an ending. I've not updated that in quite a while. Hopefully playing it will get me motivated. >.<

I managed to get my personal tutor changed to someone I actually know/like this morning. I was a little apprehensive about e-mailing this guy who I'd had assigned as my personal tutor, because I don't know him and he's teaching a seminar I'd really rather not show up to at my allotted time (it's from 5 til 6:30, so I go to the earlier one...and if I can't, then I probably won't bother going in the future) so it'd be kinda...awkward, I guess. Plus I'd prefer to talk to someone I'm actually comfortable talking to; that's the whole point of a personal tutor.

He said in my seminar yesterday that as long as we had a personal tutorial with SOMEONE, it didn't matter who...so I dropped him an e-mail to arrange one with him. Problem solved. xD

My manager gave me some McDonalds biscuits!!! I've not had those in years! So yummeh! I ended up eating that instead of an actual lunch today. >.<

Also I got to come home at 3pm instead of 4pm, so I'm rather happy about that. Gives me more daylight to get things done!!!

Finding a good example of the surprise present I wanted to get Chris for Christmas. :)

I am also still rather pleased about having a job! :D

Just got the new Bleach game for PS3(kinda late) and enjoying it. Just wished they had more characters attached to the character selection. Prefer Heat the Soul and Soul Caraval more.
Updated from a lousy desk top that I've had since 03 and ready to die to an Acer laptop and loving every quiet moment of it. Only problem is that it only lasts about 3 1/2 hours. Not really good for when I go on long trips to visit my mom in the US. Oh well. That's why I have music and other stuffX-)

Steve got a loan to get a car trailer today!

He's going to buy a brand new one so I'm excited! It means our business will be up and running soon and we'll have lots of moneys! :rage:

Oh and I got to have a Jack Daniel and coke for the first time after work in ages! It's so nice to have a drink after a long day of work. <3

Going on a health walk!

I've recently trained to lead these but wanted to attend one to see how they were set out and also get a lay of the land.

The health walks are rather important to me. I believe that the health of myself and others is very important and I'm passionate about helping those who want to improve their health do so. As a leader, I will be helping the people who perhaps lack confidence, who need to walk gradually at their own pace to improve their health, perhaps after a heart attack or knee operation. It's all about making sure exercise is available to everyone. IToday, the group were extremely friendly and chatty, which produced a very positive environment. :)
