What cheered you up today?

Students are protesting on Thursday, and 96% said yes, so as a result the College will be closed. That really made my morning because I am going to miss Volleyball, and I hate that course so much. Missing Volleyball and English. So glad I do not have to go. Thursdays are just the worst because of Volleyball. Day off Thursday. :ryan: No classes, and nobody is allowed in unless you are protesting or are a teacher.

My manager gave me a present tonight!

She knows how much I love the Britney Spears fragrances and I had my eye on the new Cosmic Radiance for a while now.

She gave it to me for helping out heaps and I was so excited!!! I really wanted it and I didn't even have to pay for it!!!

Oh wow that's amazing! :D

Uhm, just having a good day with Chris cheered me up. :) We've been looking through some oldish games like Baten Kaitos (I'm 9 hours in and CANNOT remember how to use the card system...) and Tales of Symphonia, then Morrowind.

I am hoping that Skyrim will arrive tomorrow. :x3: The post in my village isn't great so, despite paying for First Class, it didn't arrive two days after being posted. :#

I got more presents tonight at our work meeting! XD

I won a Vodka Cruiser Kaleidoscope 10 pack mixed pack with five different flavours.

Haven't had cruisers in so long!!! So excited! Free booze = :woo:

Oh and I won an award for stocktaking the whole of vitamins on my own in 1.5 days, when it usually takes a team of people around 3 days. I so rock.

The present I got for that was a Britney Spears mini's pack, that had four little mini Britney fragrances. My manager knows me too well. XD Also got some Darrell Lea Bo Peep lollies! Yummo!

So yes, my day started off shit but it ended wonderfully and cheered me up greatly. :ryan:

I'm sure everyone already knows how tired I am from staying up into the wee hours of the morning this morning to register for school. I got up after about an hour or so of sleep after the alarm on my ipod went off and I was ready with my final two clinical selections ready to click submit at midnight...and when I did the dang thing said I wasn't eligible to register yet. I guess they changed the time from 12am to 6:30 am...so I set ANOTHER alarm and got a few hours of sleep before I got up again to register. After waiting about 3 minutes I got the confirmation that I got into the teacher's sections that I wanted. I was sooooo happy. My near sleepless night really paid off for me..so that really cheered me up :lew:

Instead of the first draft of the Philosophy essay being due Wednesday, the teacher has pushed it to Friday. That really cheered me up, as it does not mean I have to work like a madman tomorrow night, or tonight for that matter. I want to start it tonight, but thankfully it will not pain me, because it is due Friday. One of my really longer essays was pushed all the way to December 12th as well. I am going to give it in before then though, as I do not want to go on the 12th, when the semester ends the 7th. I also am picking up Halo Combat Evolved Anniversary tomorrow, and that will be fun to play. Nostalgia etc, As it is a full remake. I am looking to getting Skyrim on Saturday or so as well, when some of my work will be done.

I thought today was going to be yuck but it turned out to be quite good!

My manager drove me from my store further down the Gold Coast to the owners other store so I could help set up their data controllers desk, for when the new data controller starts on Monday.

I have to train her for three weeks and we needed her office to look like mine so she wouldn't get confused when she left my store.

I ended up spending the first six hours of my shift doing that and then when I got back to work the day was nearly over. =D

Lovely bludgy day!

I went shopping today and I came across a steal of a deal on some makeup from one of my favorite brands. I got a blush, bronzer, and powder for $20 and if I were to order them individually from my favorite beauty store online they would have been $19 a piece :lew: Its always nice having makeup...and getting a deal like this on such a good brand was wayyyyy too good a deal for me to pass up...so that really cheered me up today

I had a very good second shift at work! I'm still getting used to it, but everyone there is fantastic. Most of the students are eager to learn and good-natured. The staff are all so helpful, understanding and welcoming. We're all around the same age, and a few members of staff started in September, so they really don't mind my asking questions. If I have any problems, they reassure me and gladly offer advice. :) It's the perfect environment. :)

I received my PS3 today... it's good because my day started in a really bad way (big problems with trains, one hour late at work... grr)

I finally got a new PS3 controller since my L3 button on my old one was worn out. It also snowed yesterday about a inch of snow on the ground. Also I went to the pet store and bought new cat toys for my cat Bear. Since his old ones were wet and ruined from the water damage from the sprinklers two weeks ago, he deserved some new toys hehe.

Lastly, I'm glad to be home early around 8pm and tomorrow the carpet guys are going to check and even fix my carpet in the entryway of the living room. :)

Realized I only have to attend school for one more day out of the week. :kira: Thanksgiving break. Not sure what I'm going to do with myself though... been getting antsy stuck at home since being sick.

I got online and found so many photos from last night uploaded on facebook and I'm actually really happy with how a lot of them turned out!

I usually get pretty crap photos taken of me but my manager took the best photo of Steve and I and we rarely get awesome photos taken!

I so need to buy a new camera and take more photos of us while we're still young!

I have been alone for the past two hours or so, and I love the silence. I am just doing whatever the hell I please with no distractions and arguments. I always wish that the house could be quiet like this. It will take a miracle for that to happen. This cheered me up because I love being in the silence. So peaceful.

I didn't have a headache when I came home from work today. :ryan:

Usually reading the computer screen all day gives me a headache and with my glasses pressed to the side of my temples all day it kind of helps the headache along.

But today was good. :ryan: No headache for me this arvo which means I can stay up a bit longer and watch some T.V. with Steve!

Seeing my parents again, since now they're both off work and home. And since it's been a while, or at least it feels that way, it's nice to see them again and exchange boot camp stories with my Dad and shop with my Mom. I miss seeing my family more than I realized, so it was just a good day, getting to hang out with them.

The studio ghibli film - my neighbour totoro; such innocent humour and yet so frickin hilarious!

It's Christmas!XD I don't know why I get so excited about this because it's not for the presents(I swear, I'm not lying), I just like all the lights over here and the snow(didn't really snow too much over here, but, meh). Also got good grades on my finals(which is good because last time I got a 2.0 and now it's a 3.1) and now I'm just chillin' at home with my family and having a good time. I'm glad they came to visite me, because I'm all the way over here and they're all the way over in the US. So it can be lonely sometimes on holidays, but that's my happy day!X3
And after when my family leaves, me and my are Fiancé taking a trip to Finland to celebrate the rest of the holiday^^
The only thing that didn't really make me reall jolly is that everywhere I turn, signs always say Merry X-Mas...what is that? It doesn't really make any sense. *Shrugs*, I dunno. My Fiancé told me that it had to do with religious issues? And how people now say Merry X-Mas instead of Merry Christmas. I've no clue, religious views over here is so confusing. First we're protestant, then we're catholic, then we're something else-__-

But, Hyvää Joulua everyone! Have a happy holidays!:moogle:
