What game did you buy last?

F.E.A.R. 3

Yes...This really isn't the kind of game anyone would expect me to buy :wacky: But I was peer pressured into it (/smug) so here I am, with F.E.A.R. 3. I'm actually very scared to play it, I've been told some things about it that frighten me a lot :rage: but I'll put on a brave face and suck it up and see if I can finish it in co-op (no way in hell am I playing it on my own)

I originally thought this game was about ghosts and stuff but apparently it isn't so that makes it seem a little better to me, I hate ghosts. I'm going to play as the psychic guy. Wish me luck :damon:

I finally found a copy of Resonance of Fate for the PS3 that was less than 25 bucks new, so I picked it up.

And it is so hard for me, omg :ness:

I'm only at the frickin' tutorial and I don't understand what the heck I'm suppose to do. Like, I kind of (and I stress "kind of") understand the basics of attacking, but that's really it. There are so many aspects to the battle system that completely go over my head. I'm really frustrated :sad3:

But on a plus side, I love the music. Motoi is as awesome as ever ♥

I bought Battlefield III yesterday. So far, I have not played much of it because I am not the one who is usually on it. I am just thinking it is Call of Duty with vehicles actually. It is much better though. I love the level where you are in Paris, and the lightning is absolutely one of the strongest points in the game. I am defo not a fan of these kind of games, but Ill play it if I feel like it. The game is still very glitchy though. I hear DICE will patch it soon. Not really my type of game, as I am more adjusted to something like Halo.

I bought Battlefield 3 yesterday when I got home from school off of Amazon...for a ridiculous $59.95 :rage: ...but I got free supersaver shipping

I knew it was either going to be BF3 for me or Modern Warfare 3 so I went with BF3. I think more people here will end up getting it than MW3 so yeah...thats what I went with. Plus, I already have Blops and I can't see them making drastic improvements from that so I figured I'd just pass on it.

BF3 looks fun enough and I'm excited about getting it in the mail next week. I don't know what the controls are going to be like. I'm sure it'll be a complete 360 from Blops though. ...and I'm really really nervous about the fact you can fly planes and helicopters in this though because I'm crap at flying things in games...but tanks should be fun :britt:

Like Toni said above...wish me luck :wacky: ...:lew:

Tales of Vesperia

it was only 20 pounds on xbox like and it normally like 60 quid to buy in disc format.. soo i decided to buy a copy off xbox live.... sooo far it like sooo awesome great storyline the characters are pretty amazing and god the misic.. best soundtrack i heard in a while... like the battle system only thing is i find the battles a bit easy right now.. cuz like they are only doing 12 damage yet i already have over a grand health with one of my characters :)

Dead Island

I haven't really played it that much, but from what I've played, it's a fun game. I'm going to buy Battlefield 3 soon, but I have to beat Lost Odyssey and Dead Island first, haha.

FF Chronicles which includes FFIV and Chrono Trigger.
Just to add to my collection.
I don't own a PSP and since I have no intention of buying one I have to find other ways to get the FF games I don't have.
Since my PS3 is backwards compatible that makes it all possible.

Resistance 3.

I know nothing about this game hahaha, I bought it for the co-op. I have no idea what the story is or anything, I just know that it has monsters in it and it's a shooter :wacky:

It got good reviews though so I am happy to give it a shot. I'm a bit scared though... it looks like it's going to be a bit scary :damon:

Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception

:gasp: :hyper: :woo: :kira: :jay: :ohshit:

Pre-ordered in July, luckily only recently got really excited for it. Can't wait to pop it in which I will be doing right this minute. So excited to have a single player story that I haven't spoiled myself for... I have been stupidly doing that with almost every game I buy lately.

...:hyper:

Resonance of Fate.

I enjoy it so far although I can't fairly say whether it's a good game or not yet, the characters seem enjoyable enough and it seems to have some solid voice acting which is refreshing. I do really like the energy hex idea though and that you can't willingly go wherever you want all the time, certainly not at the beginning of the game anyhow. I thoroughly enjoy the battle system too although the tutorials in the game are shite and really don't help, I spent 25 minutes trying to do a tri-attack when it should have took all of 2 :hmph: I'm not really far enough into the game yet to make an opinion on the customization or the side missions. But all is looking up at least.

Uncharted 3: Drake's deception is the last game I bought! (DUH!) Yep, it really lives up to its greatness. I really was so excited when I had the disc in my hands. That excitement has payed off greatly. I know it will only get better :ryan: The online is a real treat, and I actually have had a pretty great start. I am not gutted that I did not get the collectors edition really. I could have, but I just decided on the standard edition instead. The characters in this game are fabulous as usual. The whole London beginning thing was an absolutely hilarious start. :lew:

I bought a black label copy of Final Fantasy IX off ebay tonight from the UK.

Was quite happy with my purchase. Buyer assured me it was in mint condition and had hardly been played and was their's from when it was bought new.

It was also the cheapest copy I had come across in that condition with all it's bits.

Some people were charging crazy prices for copies that were either falling to bits, or didn't have some discs or manuals. 0_o

So yes very happy with my purchase and can't wait to get it!

I will not be selling this one this time, no matter how much I think I'll never want to play it again. XD

Uncharted 3.

I've played it for about 50 minutes (due to being at Chris'). It seems to be incredibly short; I've already completed 18% of the game. :S Nevertheless, it's awesome, and certainly a good first game for my PS3. I haven't played many games like this before (except for Prince of Persia), so it's a reasonably new experience. :) So much so that Chris found my initial inability to spot everything I could climb amusing. :wacky: I have picked up the conventions quickly though. :)

Modern Warfare 3.

I don't give a shit if you hate it or love it. So far, everything about the game exceeded my standards. And I had one hell of a time on the Midnight Release, Everyone was having fun.

Xenoblade Chronicles. My parents bought this really, since it's going to be a Christmas present from them. Looking forward to playing it at Christmas! :D I've heard many many positive things about it and it's about time I made use of my Wii. :)

Infinite Undiscovery

My plan today was to get skyrim, but I didn't have enough, so instead I snagged this up for 11.99 and while I haven't played it yet, I am sure it's going to be a great buy, but if not, I can return it and get a refund. :wacky:

Shouldn't Christmas games be played on--oh I don't know... Christmas :wacky:

The last game I bought was Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3.
I wasn't sure about getting this game at first because it is expensive and I am not really good at shooters, but I did enjoy blops while it lasted and the store had a special deal where if I trade in a certain game (in this case Dead Island) then I could get the game for free.

I'd finished DI so I thought, ehhh why not.

I traded it in on Sunday and got the game. It's a bit different to blops, I find it a lot easier for some reason, I am not sure if they've changed something about the way it plays but I am doing a lot better with kills. Perhaps I am just playing really shit people.

I've not touched the single player yet, I don't plan to either.

Deus Ex: Human Revolution

The first game had some of the best mechanics and ideas of anything I have ever seen, it is still unparalleled. The new one lives up to the same standards of gameplay without the cripplingly bad graphics and voice acting, both of which are sublime in the new one

Uncharted 2

I hated the gamplay in Uncharted, though I really liked the characters and storyline. Most of the people I think have good ,or at least similar taste, in games advised me to get the second one. They were right it seems as I am really impressed so far and loving it

Black Ops was made by a different company division, so therefore, everything about the mechanics of the game changed. Well, most of it. MW3 is a much faster pace than Blops.

Anyway, for the main thread -

I re-bought Borderlands but this time I got the GOTY.

It has all the DLCs and stuff on the disc already. So happy I bought it, because this is one of those games I like and plan to keep for a long time. Or at least. If that doesn't happen, well, I'm planning to return it within 7 days, since I did Platinum Trophy, being the trophy whore I am.

I also got Prince of Persia, the first one for the PS3. Not the HD remake of the ps2 version.

I like it so far, and I like the random humor in the dialogue, and the good thing is, the Prince himself is voiced by Nolan North, whom is notable for voicing Nathan Drake of Uncharted.
