God in heaven please let Squeenix be smart enough to NOT let "the only one who's not a f***ing retard" in the movie making business get the rights to another Final Fantasy big screen flop!

I've seen Dr. Boll's movies "House of the Dead" and "Doom" all the way through and large parts of "Alone in the Dark" and "Bloodrayne" that more or less gave the entire premise for those movies ("Matrix" action, car chases, sex, gore, sex, infantile dialogue and situations built around sex).

"Doom" was... watchable, but the plot of the game of a portal to Hell seems a lot easier to wrap your head around than the whole extra-super special can turn you into a monster or a badass, depending on a hidden DNA alignment bar, gene and the whole mess with the Rock being the main character but this other guy really is and oh yeah the Rock is actually the big bad!

"House of the Dead" was just infantile and reeked of a lousy frat party gone wrong type of plot. Honestly, it could have been a legitimate cheesy porn movie with the skin and dialogue it had... oh, getting attacked by zombies (to quote the many Paris Hilton parodies) "That's hot." Instead we get a bunch of yuppies turned "Matrix" badasses for no reason whatsoever and not all that flattering clips of the actual game interspersed within these action sequences (but for some they may have been the only good seconds of the movie). Overall I would beg someone to please not watch it.

But I've strayed too far in trying to establish a base of how terrible Dr. Boll is (believe me some of the material people have written on him can be very enlightening, most notably what Boll has said himself like in that Eric Blair article about the "Alone in the Dark" movie). Also, an observation, while "Bloodrayne" and "House of the Dead" may not be super series like let's say Final Fantasy and Halo, millions of people still love those games. So, What's to stop other popular franchises from giving in to Dr. Boll who despite his infamy seems to have his work at first relatively unknown to the owners of these franchises until right after they've signed their souls to him (again Google that Eric Blair article)? After all Squeenix did show willingness for more Final Fantasy cinema with the production of Advent Children (which ranges in reviews from mediocre story and stuck-on depressed characters the only ones in that medium of note being Cloud, Tifa, and Kadaj to TOTALLY FREAKING AWESOME ACTION!!!OMG!!!:ohshit:!!!). Smells like Dr. Boll territory to me.

Gosh, how will Dr. Boll ruin a Final Fantasy movie adaptation (if and/or when he gets the green light trust me he will destroy this series in one omnislashtastic mess of just adapting one of the installments)?

Does Squeenix have even a hint of Dr. Boll aversion? Let's hope so.

Discuss.

I liked Doom. And my dad even did. And he can't stand movies all that much.

But if there's any more movies I'm pretty sure it's going to be Nomura making it. After all his movie(AC)was loved by a lot of people unlike Spirits Within. So I'm sure if anyone's gonna make a movei of an FF game, it's gonna be Nomura leading the team.

If this happens it'll be a big step up from Squenix making the movie themselves. TSW and AC/C were some of the most godawful storyless movies I've ever seen in my life.

THIS. Surely it will be bad, but it would be one of those movies that are so bad they're good. Imagine Boll doing a commentary on a FF movie, that's something you don't want to miss. And for the record, Doom wasn't one of Boll's movies.

Boil makes my blood boil, man needs shooting IMO. Would I want him near an FF? It would be different I admit, bad actors, crappy dialogue, terrible CGI. Lol, interesting. But at the same thing I dont want him damaging or ruining the series ... hold on ... scratch that, SE are already ruining it ... Fuck it, let the man direct.

Some of the truest words I've ever read. AC has no storyline, only dialogue to get the viewer from on large fight scene to another. TSW....just no.....

Uwe Boll is evil. A terrible director, he's ruined so many video game franchises.Like Blizzard-with their pwning reply to his WOW bid("We will not sell the movie rights, not to you…especially not to you")- Square wouldnt let him near FF with a 100 foot barge pole.

won't happen. They can't afford the financial losses.
The movie would have to have top of the line special effects and those don't come cheap. If you try to do it on the cheap it comes out like the Wing Commander Movie did.It would bomb bigtime.
They can't afford the risk of an expensive bomb and if they did it on the cheap it would be a definite bomb.

so forget the idea.

Good God, this is a nightmare theory if I ever saw one. Boll needs to drop dead, YESTERDAY, and spare us all of his idiocy and troll-proportionate insistence that he has talent...

Honestly, I don't want any more FF movies, period. Nobody should make any more and Squeenix needs to stop dicking around with films and get back to making actual fucking games, and not crap like XIII.

And I really wish someone would take that dipshit on in boxing and break his head in. Just to shut his stupid, retarded mouth.

Hi Guys
If this happens it'll be a big step up from Squenix making the movie themselves. TSW and AC/C were some of the most godawful storyless movies I've ever seen in my life.

I cant imagine boll doing final fantasy. To be honest this theory sounds odd. One of those drama queen theories with no basis. Anyways...no....cant see him make any ff film. But if there is a high chance, i would say no.

SE needs input on fans who have been for a while yet not try to innovate too much.
