What is the best classic game ever?

Saw a report from ScrewAttack about what they thought the 10 best beat-em-ups were, not games like Street Fighter but the scrolling ones like Streets of Rage.

I fucking loved The Simpsons one.

I didn't mind the list in general, except that Streets Of Rage was placed a lot lower than I would have liked, and the opposite for the Turtles. But all round not bad. I'll probably spit blood if they do an r.p.g. or fighting game one though, I'd be pretty picky about everything they say.

I would have to say...Metal Gear Solid, Final Fantasy's, and the Legend of Zelda's.

I didn't mind the list in general, except that Streets Of Rage was placed a lot lower than I would have liked, and the opposite for the Turtles. But all round not bad.

The only problems I had with it were the Turtles should have been lower and Streets of Rage should have higher, I would have taken Golden Axe off too and replaced it with the 6-player X-Men arcade machine, absolute bliss.

Too bad they made too many spin-offs and it got kinda boring for the GameCube, though.
