What keeps you coming back?

It's just such an awesome game and my personal favourite, i can't remember how many times i've completed this game. It never get's boring or tedious and if you need a break there are so many side quest's and secrets that you can spend hours just finding everything. A well rounded and expertly thought out game

The story, characters, and the music makes me come back to VIII always. The game it self is so amazing and awesome. I have completed VIII 3 times already, and it still never really gets boring. I think VIII should be continued in some way, or even better, a remake. Though, VIII is my second favorite Final Fantasy and it will always will be. I will always keep my hard copy, since VIII is such a great game. I really hope one day VIII will be continued in some way.

All fans of the FF series know that one of the strongest qualities it has is it's replay value.

i would really have to strongly disagree lol

not to say no one ever replays Final Fantasy, but I don't really see FF as having any kind of replay value. To me, replay value is having additional content that is unlocked upon completing the game made available, or just being able to start the game over and do things that you couldn't before.

But I thoroughly enjoyed the music, graphic design (you know, before nomura started throwing belts at everything to make a character) and battle system of Final Fantasy VIII. Sometimes it's just fun to replay the game as an expert player just to show everyone how easy the game actually is.

The ROMANCE! Also the fact that I can't ever figure out the plot completely..... I'm borderline between normalness or Squall died at the end of disc 1.
