What or who inspired your sense of humor

I find that little things make me laugh. Mostly jokes that you don't see coming. That's why I love Ron White and The Amazing Johnathan because they usually always end jokes with a punchline that you wouldn't expect from the joke that they're doing. I also find that rascist humor makes me laugh. Now, I'm not rascist myself but I've been known to laugh my ass off at alot of black jokes. I can't help it. When something's funny, it's funny. I also crack up at videos of fat people falling or getting hurt. That shit's just histerical.

I think it's a signatory stamp of being British to laugh at the misfortunes of others, depending (eh...) on what degree this misfortune takes.

As for my humour, it... varies. It's very much reflective of how I feel at the time, though as a general constant I do find dry, obnoxious, sarcastic and snide comments to be the best. There's always room for some sex jokes, racist/sexist jokes, in-the-news jokes and so on as well.

A joke is a joke, and I appreciate it for being just that. Ultimately, the point I'm trying to make is that I find a lot of things quite amusing. :pacman:

I figured there was a thread about sense of humor already, and I figured correctly. :lew:

*Threads Merged*

I'm a very humorous person, so most things can give me a good laugh. Some of you fine folks are aware of my more crude/pervy humor, which is always funny when done correctly. :ryan: I use sarcasm for humor too, but it's blatantly obvious that it's a joke when I do so, so it never annoys people. I think my humor for the most part is considered to be pretty dry. I tend to make a lot of references to TV shows/movies as well. :lew:

:hmmm: I think my dad definitely influenced my sense of humour. He is very lame, he tells the lamest jokes but it doesn't matter because he'll laugh at them anyway which makes the lame jokes seem funnier than they are, not to say my lame jokes are funny but I do laugh at them no matter what.

In fact I find almost anything hilarious :hmmm: Seinfeld also inspired my humour I think I as I grew up with it.

I do not find obscure humour funny though, like the stuff that Ross nobel does where he just randomly rants about something. I hate that, I don't think it's hilarious at all.

Not my mom. :hmmm: I'm not really sure. My sense of humour isn't that great really, although I can mostly take a lot of jokes, but making them myself, eh... I'm much more... quick to respond than my mom, my mom is usually like "whateveeeeeeeeeeer." and I wanna joke something back.

Not really sure who I got it from though.

My mom definitely had a big influence on my sense of humor. My sense of humor falls into the realm of perverse and lewd. I like to watch "Family Guy" and I love watching people fall down or smack their face into a door that suddenly swings open. I find that shows like "Seinfeld" and "Everybody Hates Chris" also falls into my sense of humor. So if you slip on a puddle and you fall, let's say you were unaware of the puddle being there, then chances are I'm going to laugh. If you get punched in the face for saying something really dumb, I may just laugh at you. I find that when people get injured while trying to do something stupid, I laugh the hardest. I also like racial jokes and that goes for any race, including my own. Sometimes my humor can be very cut and dry and almost scathing and sarcastic, but that's only if I'm bitter towards the person I'm wittily cutting down. My humor for the most part comes from my mom because she's known as the joker in my family along with my older cousins (although she claims to be the most authentic and funniest one in our family).

*coughs* Personally I think I have my moments where I beat out my mom in terms of wit. Yes, we regularly contend in a playful manner to see who's the funniest.

believe it or not i used to be a very funny guy..

my best friend and i sort of inspired ourselves i guess.. we just had this energetic humor that we used, and it was subtle which was the beauty of it.. it wasnt the words we used but they way we presented them so either the person you're talking to laughs their ass off, or they don't even realize you were trying to be funny and responds. well either way they're going to like you if you're radiating energy.

ahh girls loved me back then.. now im humorless and no one likes me

For me, my grandfather definitely inspired 100% of my sense of humor. Ever since I was little everyone in my family was strict except him.(Which is a little ironic, considering he was a military man.) He was always joking around, inventing ways to pull pranks on people, and always had these little gimmicks. Ever since he died, everyone has been telling me I am a lot like he is, and I take that in a really good way. He basically made me who I am today, and he was one of the funniest people I know. It's pretty fantastic He was also a big one for card tricks.

My biggest influence would have to be my mom. Also my grandma and grandpa (mom's side), my only sister, my step-father, and my friends (plenty of nerdy jokes). I tend to find humor in the small things as well.

I definitely didn't get any influence from my dad. As funny as he can be sometimes, he annoys me, and it was his fault that my parents got divorced. He lost most of my respect after that

A lot of my humour comes from sarcasm, which is weird. It's supposedly the lowest form of humour and wit, but I've always seen myself as a fairly witty guy!

If I could liken myself to any modern day tv show/comedian etc...it would be similar to the guys from Lonely Island and Flight of the Conchords. The kind of humour that not everyone gets I guess.

For me i know it was Eminem. Growing up all i listened to was Eminem so I'm a very sarcastic person who comes with off the top jokes with no filter. Nobody in my family is really like me, I'm the joker. Thats the only person i can see me getting it from. Also maybe from watching Wrestling, in the 90's it was a lot more comical and they got away with a lot of stuff. The Rock taught me well.

I don't think any of my family influenced my humour, although sometimes I kinda see the insane side of my mother to sense that some of it may be from her. I blame 90's kid shows, the lovable Ren & Stimpy, the always curious Pee Wee Herman.... just a plethora of cartoons that wouldn't see the light of day in these PC times.

Not to mention Jim Carrey and Robin Williams. Not many modern day comedians hack it in my terms of funny.

Without a doubt, my Mom influenced me. I got a lot of her sarcasticness and all that. My parents find me hilarious, but most of the time I'm not even trying to be funny. I consider myself a very boring person, yet almost everybody that I've spoke to face to face has said that I am funny. I don't get it. Anyway, Mom influenced me. My Dad is the definition of boring. And I was never around any other family members long enough to get their sense of humor (thank goodness :wacky: ). I got my Moms.... Funny/bitch/sarcastic humor.

No one. I was born with my sense of humor. I can come up with some silly stuff to say on the fly, and the environment is my most important source of "tools" for my style of humor. Sometimes my body is part of my jokes.. if I wanna demonstrate someone crashing through a window, I'll use improvisation(anyone who took drama classes will understand this better) and toss myself through an invisible window.

Well it's a quite interesting question..I think that my sense of humor has been marked with Scrub, the tv series (I really think that no one can't know about it), sometimes I come up with a quip, and only after a while I realize that I have token that quip from scrub, mixed it with my style :P, but I don't do it by my will it's something involuntary!!

probably every grumpy cynic with a bit of dry wit ever

I'd say that I get my humor from my parents because I wouldn't be able to recall anything else to influence me :wacky:

I would say I get my sarcasm from my mom and dad both-- but in different ways.

I know I get my language from my old man and my humor is influenced by that, so... :lew:

My dad also would crack racist jokes and whatnot so you can say I have a racist humor (I'm not racist though)

My mom is a pervert! So every-time i'd listen to hear talk she'd blabber something perverted. :derp:
