KH Spinoffs What order did you play the characters in?

ventus, who's fighting style is akin to sora/roxas, then terra, who's fighting style resembles riku's but otherwise fails for being incredibly slow (and his attacks aren't noticeably stronger than ventus's), and finally aqua, whose block and high magic stat i liked instantly. she also has the best command style, and she can double jump.

story-wise, ventus gets my pity, i have no idea what happens to aqua, and terra proved he was a true idiot, right to the end.
 
I played as terra then ven then aqua

all cause that was recommended story line as well as the fact that

one i kind of hate having to use magic a lot more than melee hence aqua went last even though she was kind of hot especially for kh charachter

two not the biggest fan of playing as girls nothing against them just makes me feel wierd to be a guy playing as a girl

three i wanted to play as terra first since i already new the ending (yes thats sad but i got so excited and bored i lost all my power to go against it) and i wanted to know how he gets to that point plus love melee combat but i did hate how slow he was and the fact he only has a three hit combo which means you have to deal with the finishing lag almost constantly until you get combo plus and air combo plus

four i found that ven was my fav character and most intresting story but wanted to follow the storyline plus i already knew the reason he looked like roxas or in proper terms roxas looks like ven

so far i have finished everything just finishing 100% i found to me who is a lover of melee combat that roxas is the best in all components of combat

he has an alright amount of damage that could rival terra's at some points in time
his magic is almost always equal to his attack giving him some great uses for magic
he is amazingly fast having very low reaction time meaning when i did a combo finish he didn't seem to lag like a mother f***er and i had a lot of chances to dodge
 
Aqua, then Terra, then Ventus.

I know it's not the recommended order but I actually liked doing it in that order. Aqua's story seemed somewhat uneventful in comparison to the other two and I reckon it would've been kinda lame to finish with it. Also I thought Ven's final battle was epic and a good end to the game (excluding the secret ending).

Same here. After the secret ending, though, I mainly focused on Ventus. He seemed easy to use to beat the sentiment and the mystery man.

Well if you weren't enjoying it, you'd have been stupid to carry on playing it! :P So I think you made the right choice there. ;)

I've just completed the game as Terra, I'm gonna go for Ventus next. I guess 'cos he reminds me a little of Sora, y'know, a bit goofy, naive, adorable! And I do miss Sora as a playable character :(
 
I first played with Terra, then with Aqua, and then Ventus. I have no idea why I choose this order, just thought it'd be a good order, now I need to try get 100%
 
We'll first I played Terra, mostly because he looked tough, then Aqua, and finally Ventus. His story started boring, but his final boss was AWSOME!
 
I did the typical Terra Ven and Aqua order which worked out since Aqua is the only character who you play as in the final stage of the story. Terra = Vader lets face it but he was a badass nonetheless. Ven had the coolest final boss. Aqua I feel bad for cause she had to fight both of her friends in her story.
 
I pretty much played them in the order of the game icons for em'

First was Terra: So easy to use,im a brute strength type player though. So I suppose you could say I favore him most

Second: Ventus. I also found him rather easy to play with but out of all of them I found him the better slayer of the bunch with better abilities (eventhough they all almost have the same things)

Third Aqua: Jesus she was anoying at first being the weakest out of the bunch. But once you built her up a LOT she was a pretty good slayer as well.....Though I do wish it wouldnt have taken so long to build her up and get her better abilities
 
I did reverse.... cuz i hated Terra :rage:

soooo it was Aqua, then Ven and the Terra

I prefer Aqua for fighting but i beat the second secret boss with Ven XD
 
I beat Aqua first, because she looked the best to me (she delivered too), she was fun to fight with and had a refreshing style to her abilities in my opinion, I played Ven second and he was surprisingly different than Roxas, I liked them both and I am sorry to say; didn't even bother with playing Terra, he was annoying, I didn't like him, he was clunky to fight with, and ugh! That voice :wacky:
 
I played as Ven first because he reminded me a lot of Roxas.

I played Aqua next because she seemed really powerful because of her magic but I later realized she was my worst character.

Last I played as Terra mainly because I didn't like his character. I just didn't really like the whole "I need to overcome the darkness" thing.
 
I played as Terra first. My reasoning was, a friend got BBS before me, and advised to play as Terra first as he was the slowest and it'd be hard to adjust to his slowness, especially after playing as a moderately paced Aqua and speedy Ven. So, I did it as Terra, then Aqua, then Ventus.
Terra was actually very fun to play as in my opinion, and even after trying all the characters he is still my favorite. Not to mention, he is the only character that has decent stats early game so you can level grind in first world. (I loved birth by sleep's magic system so much, I had all the ra's if not the ga's of most basic magic before leaving Enchanted Dominion.) Terra's the character who I try to 100% the story of most of the time. (Currently retrying because of final mix.)

Aqua, while fun to play as, is kind of annoying in the first world, especially if you're in proud mode or up, because the bruisers in castle of dreams hit so hard at first there. While Terra is my favorite character, she is my second favorite, and even though she's not as powerful as Terra, it's easier to beat the superbosses in the game with her.

Ventus, while a pretty cool character, got on my nerves while I played as him. Not because of his fighting style, no, and not because of his weak strength. It's because of the fact he doesn't get a decent level grinding spot until the third world if you go by battle level. It is possible to level some in Dwarf Woodlands, but the area is mostly Floods and Bruisers, or that's what I thought anyway, I didn't learn until my second playthrough with Final Mix that the caverns had a good exp station. But anyway, I found it hard to level with Ven compared to the others, which isn't a bad thing since it's bad to overlevel sometimes, but I just found it difficult starting out, like I did with Aqua.

Also a note: Until recently I didn't think it was possible to get Cure until the second world at least, but I was recently informed Command Board gave away cures in the first world, so if you think I'm over exaggerating a bit, it may be but I did the first world of each character cure-less and had to d-link spam.

Too Long, Didn't Read; I played it Terra, Aqua, and Ven to go from slow paced to fast paced. Terra is my favorite character but I like Aqua and Ven as well.

Aqua was first. Why? Because I had to see if she was a weak, idiot like nearly all FF and KH characters. I was so friggin' impressed by her character and so shocked I played her story three times before I moved on. Her character has to be one of the best characters I have seen in a FF/KH game in a long, long, long time.

I also loved how she was stronger than Terra ad Ven, in both strength and magic. That was surprising, oh and her higher intelligence over the others. Didn't expect that either.

Next I did Terra, because I was interested in why he looked like Zack and Squall and stole Terra's name. His character was eh...but his English acting was. "HJBSAASBSADZXJKBSA!" translated "so terrible, my ears bled". His story though, was pretty nice I guess. Especially who he turned out to
be in the end.

And then I played Ven...I felt him the weakest in battle wise, and his story was also pretty cool, but my least favorite in the game. Not bad, don't get me wrong, just...not as good as Aqua's. :hal:

*Again, mega surprised by how good the game was and how fun the battles were. A little hard for me to learn the menu at first though...*
 
Well, for me it was Terra first, sheer power and brute force :D
I greatly enjoyed his storyline(prob my fav) and his keyblades also. Good variety of commands and ass-kicking physicals moves.
Next was Ven(I was a little reluctant to use Aqua due to the description:''excellent mage'' r sumthin like that..) I didnt like Ven very much, he's fast but is lacking in both physical and magical attacks, has a few cool unique commands but wasn't extremely fun to play with. Excellent storlyline nonetheless
And finally, Aqua. The character description kinda put me off at the start and Aqua is definitely the weakest starting out since not many commands are available and most of the battles must be fought mainly with physical attacks. As soon as you progress in the storyline however a huge variety of commandsa are available, she's fast and her spells absolutely kick ass.
 
I really wanted to play as Aqua from the beginning like 100% but instead I figure i will save her for last so that way the person I really wanna play with ill allready be used to the game and save the ebst for last.

1) Ven - I did him first simply because I did the tutorial with him an dI was saving Aqua for last.

2). Terra - i actually enjoyed his even though the last boss fight was hard and I died alot.

3) Aqua - I was right for doing hers last, the best one but thats just me, really loved her story.
 
Terra, Ventus, Aqua. I wanted to play as Ventus first, because he's my favorite character, but I assumed Tetsuya Nomura was right when saying you'd understand it best playing in that order so I did. Terra's the highest level because I level grinded with him a lot because I didn't get many abilities so he sucked at everything but brute strength. Ventus is about equal. He's got the best abilities out of the 3 and I've done a lot of the Mirage Arena with him. Aqua I didn't like too much, and I hated using her for the final chapter, but she did alright.
 
Ventus, Aqua, Terra

I wanted to play Ventus First because I knew he had some connection to Sora and Roxas right away and wanted to figure out how the game connected with the other KH series, and I have to say Ventus ended up being my favorite out of the three.

I did Aqua second, because she became the Keyblade Master and I wanted to see just how much light she really had and i have to be honest here, her character moves were annoying to use.

Terra last because well.. He just seemed like a bad Riku clone, had dark in him blah blah blah, someone taking him over blah blah blah. Best friend tries to save him, blah blah blah.
 
I went in reverse, so: Aqua, Ven, and then Terra.

- Aqua was by far my favorite, so that's the main reason. I guess it was the Keyblade Master title and magical prowess that got me hooked.

- Ven was fast, and had some more-than-unique abilities.

- Terra actually wasn't as bad as I'd originally thought, albeit a tad slow, but that was expected. He was hella strong physically, though.
