my little brother says to play it on xbox because it's got addons. but my sister says to play it on ps3 because it's got less bugs or whatever.

what system do you suggest to play on?

i personally didnt know there was much of a difference but i guess there is :lew:

Incorrect, the 360 is the best choice BECAUSE there aren't as many bugs...

THAT AND, there are more add-on's and the environment looks MUCH prettier on the 360.

I'm not trolling, whoever says the PS3 is wrong and is a liar. Sorry. Truth hurts.

Out of Xbox and PS3, you should play the Xbox version. I think console wars are a load of shit, I've played it on both systems and they both play fine on it. Both versions have bugs because it's such a massive game etc but I really haven't been affected by them very badly personally. :hmmm: I've heard the PC version is supposed to be the best but I can't say myself.
I say Xbox because if you do really get into it, then you have the extra DLC to enjoy. There's been a massive fuck up with the DLC for PS3 which is just getting stupid. As you can tell, I'm a salty PS3 owner. :hmph:

really :ahmed:

my siblings are like "ugh no! it's better on this system!" :rage:

:lew:

and to think this all started because I said "I wish i could play skyrim." :okay:

I have it on PS3 and while it looks pretty, there were a lot of bugs with it. Also, I would recommend 360 or PC because you can get the extra content such as Dawnguard and Hearthfire. They still haven't set a release date for those on PS3 and they may not even release them. If you want to play around with mods and cheat codes, go with PC. Otherwise, 360 is a better choice, imo.

Alright, that's three for 360. :hmmm:

I'm a type of player that hates bugs and ugly graphics... but I'm thinking that the addons would make up for that stuff. :hmmm:

:hmmm:

The bugs on the PS3 version didnt' ruin the game for me. The ones I encountered were very minor (and some were even amusing). And the graphics of the game were great. I really enjoyed the game though and wanted to play the DLC so now I wish I'd gotten it for 360.

well, i only have skyrim for 360 and ps3... so i only have those systems to choose from. :hmmm:

Skyrim is noticeably better on the 360. It's not one of those marginal differences people attempt to make a big deal about. The Elder Scrolls series, first and foremost, are a PC game. The third one, Morrowind, was introduced to the Xbox because the Xbox is Microsoft. It is compatible by nature. However, the Xbox struggled bit due to the sheer size of the game.
The 360, however, is a very powerful machine, and boasts Skyrim impressively well. On the PS3, however, there are bugs galore and a bit more lag and loading. People who have it on the PS3 simply know no difference. Play it on the 360, and you will see an improvement.

Here's a question for anyone who has played the DLC on 360. Is it worth me getting the game for 360 to play it? I've been considering it as I really did enjoy the game and was thinking of doing a second playthrough to do some of the main quests differently. :hmmm:

From what I saw/played in Dawngaurd? Yes. Granted, there are quite a few more bugs with the new content it is def worth the DLC IMO. Although, being a werewolf is MUCH better IMO than being a Vampire Lord... It's all preference, sure you can change at will when you are a Vampire Lord, but there ARE ways to KEEP changing into a werewolf.
The new weapons and new Skill Tree's are pretty cool.
I would check it out. It's only 20 extra bucks for the DLC anyway...

I was really impressed with all the DLC for Skyrim. They definitely raised the bar over those for Oblivion and Morrowind. Part of what makes them great is that it makes the whole of the game more interesting in general. In Oblivion, for example, Shivering Isles was a bit too separated from the game.

I mean, if you can comfortably dish out the money to buy the game and the DLC, then Id' say yes. But if you don't, then I guess it really just comes down to how bad you want it. Skyrim plays a bit bette ron the 360., should've gotten it for that system anyway.
Case in point: there is a reason why they abandoned the PS3 on Skyrim's DLC.

It was a gift so I didn't pick the system. :lew:

Tbh, I wasn't really aware of how many issues the PS3 version had because I didn't have that much trouble with it overall. I only had one bad glitch issue where the game kept freezing but other than that, it was fine. It wasn't until the DLC was released that I became aware of just how glitchy the PS3 version was. :lew:

It won't really be an issue to buy it for 360. I was just curious as to whether the DLC was worth the extra money. So I think I'll go ahead and get the 360 version so I can play the DLC.

You get an extra 20-30 hours of gameplay, so I would say so :O

I would get it on the 360, if you really can't get it on the PC. Pretty much what everyone has already said, although...I did hear that they are finally coming out with a DLC for the PS3, maybe sometime next month? If so, it'd probably be Dragonborn since they did announce that it's their main priority, and then Dawnguard and Heartfire after. No word yet on pricing.

If you do get it on the PS3 though, you might luck out and not encounter that many glitches and bugs. It's different for everyone. I had few glitches, which I didn't mind too much, but it's the freezing of my PS3 (and not being able to turn the console off unless I unplug it), that worried me. I haven't played Skyrim for almost a year now, and the patches are not updated on my system, but that's because I'm worried that the patches might ruin things again (it can either fix or make things worse). I'd read reviews first and see what players are saying, but really, it varies for everyone.

If you have the rig to run it, PC definitely. Both the PS3 and 360 run the same settings which are the "low" setting for PC and upscaled.

If not, I've heard the 360 has less bugs but I can't confirm this. DLC is irrelevant as ALL DLC is being released for PS3 this month or the next.

As per personal experience and bugs, the console version is always more bugged because you can't fix them like you can on PC. I played PS3's Skyrim for 100+ hours without a single bug. I had one with a bounty which could not be completed and a thief quest I couldn't complete on a latter playthrough, though. (The thief quest was a bug, not a glitch. Story progression made a home inaccessable)
