Well, maybe not ‘swear by’, but at least enjoy? I’ve known some people to enjoy ketchup on their eggs and/or macaroni, eek! I also had a teacher that swore the best sandwich ever was mayonnaise on bread with potato chips on top. I can even recall my sister enjoying just a ketchup sandwich when she was little! :gasp:

So do you have any odd pairing that you like to marry together?

For me, I didn’t realize this was unusual till I was older but apparently people think it’s disgusting to put syrup on their eggs when eating breakfast. At least the people within my circle think it’s weird :D I don't usually like overly sugary things in the morning but I enjoy eggs on toast and a light bit of syrup over them once in a while.

I usually have my scrambled eggs with cheese and honey on the side! DELICIOUS
and hmmmm I also love jam and cream on toast :P

I put dinner gravy on my sandwich or, alternatively, dip my meat sandwich into gravy.

This tends to happen around Christmas time - where there is an abundance of meat and gravy

Yum

I sometimes put a heap of mayonnaise on my rice. So rather than putting it on whatever I'm eating the rice with (e.g., chicken, steak), I just dump some on the rice and mix it in ^^; I don't know, sometimes I just want to add a bit more flavour.

:argor:

Only kidding, though I have enjoyed peanut butter chocolate on occasion.

I guess one unusual food combination I've enjoyed in the past has been peanut butter on chicken. I tried an Indonesian recipe and it was amazing. It goes together really well if done right.

That's not something I have very often at all though. I could probably count the number of times I've had that particular dish on one hand after trapping the same hand in a car door.

I think you're referring to Satay sauce here? That's technically not peanut butter. :wacky:

I still have to think about an answer for mine, because I'm drawing a blank...

It was listed as peanut butter on the menu at the restaurant I tried it. It was a bit thicker than what I thought was satay, but it wasn’t regular peanut butter either so it was probably some variant of either of those.

All I remember is that it was really nice.

I don't know how unusual it is, but probably not all that common. Hamburger, egg noodles, all covered in gravy. It's basically like Salisbury Steak with noodles. It's a fantastic meal. You get some protein, carbs and it's plenty filling. I highly recommend it. As a matter of fact, I'm having it tomorrow for dinner.

Super noodle sandwiches :)

It's odd but it was a great quick easy thing to do back when I was at University!
