A nice and simple question, whats the best moment you had with a bud of yours playing a FF game? Name the game and what happen that made it fun. OR explain if you like to play the games alone.

Mine was when I was 9 and I just got a PS1. My friend came to my house after school by taking the bus and we ran straight into my room and started playing FFIX. We played right until 1:00 in the morning:yawn: switching controllers every battle we lost, until I had a streak of never losing a battle and we got into a physical confrontation :slap:. We fought for like 10mins and then once we were done we got up without saying anything and started to play again like the cool kids we were.:busta:.

Not really FF, that's more for solo but...

Secret of Mana was pretty great. My two friends and I pooled our money together to get the extra controller extension for the SNES so we could all play at the same time. The oldest of us got to play the main guy (since he was twice our size), so we were left with playing the two girls. I had the blonde chick so it was all good. Despite only one of us owning a SNES, he promised that he wouldn't play unless all three of us were around so that we could beat the game together.

Man those were some good times.

That's the exact reason way I started this thread to reminisces on good old times.
I also did something similar to that on Crystal Chronicles on the game cube:D

i met up with a girl one and i was round her house... and she asked... if i could help with a game.. i through ok... it was only ffix :)

Hahaha see everyone has good times when FF is involved :sup:

I had an FF singalong (well, it wasn't just FF, we did a couple of other series as well) with a friend once...we did Hymn of the Fayth, One Winged Angel, Otherworld, Liberi Fatali, made up some dirty lyrics to the Chocobo theme, and hummed an assortment of other themes from VII, VIII, IX and X and generally made a racket. We did duets and took it in turns to do solo performances. It was so much FUN! ♥

...but we sounded so AWFUL. I am eternally grateful it was just the two of us in the house. I'd love to do it again, though. xD

Actually seriously playing the games, when FFX first came out we could never beat the Dark Aeons, so we'd take it in turns to try and get a Zanmato on them...

Haha dirty lyrics. Don't worry I try to sing all the time and fail:D

Mine would be when my friend first played FFVIII. She was at the SEED exam and she was asking how to heal her character. She asked. "Should I cast Ifrit?" I was texting, not really paying attention, so I said "sure". Suddenly I heard "I JUST KILLED SQUALL!" We were both dying laughing afterwards.

Probably when I was teaching my friend how to play FFVIII when we were in 7th grade. It may have been the most fun but the most DIFFICULT thing to do in my entire life. She didn't know the first thing about items, magic and what not. She would think a potion would revive a character, a phoenix down would kill an enemy, and an ether would heal someone's HP. You have no idea how many times she has died in the game. Sometimes I wish that moment would happen all over again because I only taught her once, but I wonder if she knows how to play by now; but if she doesn't, it would be nice to try and teach her again.

It feels good rethinking of all the good times, It makes me wanna relive them all so bad.
Keep em coming guys this stuff is gettin' good!
I gotta think of more myself.:hmm:

My mate called me up struggling really bad with Seymour Flux on FFX, he had a really weak underlevelled party.
I drove over to his place and wiped the floor with Seymour on my first go (with a bit of luck).
That night we went on with this weak arsed party and finished the whole game without dying once! :D

one of my best memories playing an FF game was this one day at my uncles house, playing FFVII (he was the only person I knew who had a playstation) in a room with him and 4 of my cousins, I was about 8, the youngest in the room, and everyone was taking turns trying to defeat the Materia Keeper boss. I was the last one in the room to get a turn, and nobody expected me to even come close to beating him, because they had all been dying, but I beat him; As soon as that "whoosh" sound started (the sound it makes when a boss is dying) everyone in the room all of a sudden looked at me and started yelling and cheering and they were all so happy.. I felt very triumphant.
I think that day made me an FF fan for good

Haha that's sweet. I would rub it in their faces every time I came in contact with them :P
Keep em coming ladies and gents!

Would definitely have to be last month or so, when me and my girlfriend were replaying FFVII.
We were in the Forgotten City, where the party had just met up with Aeris...
And instead of continuing with the sequence, we had great fun making Cloud thrust his hips backwards and forwards while making the "Schwing!" noise from Wayne's World.

I think we've got a video of it somewhere... I'll upload it when I get a chance tomorrow or something.

For me my favorite moment was when I defeated Sephiroth for the first time, my friend Joseph at the time was there. Such a moment for me and him, finally I defeated Sephiroth and avenged Aeris.

I don't really have a specific moment or anything, but I remember back in the sixth grade a couple of my friends were talking about final fantasy VIII and how to beat it and junk, and at the time I had never played any of the games....

Over the summer, I told my aunt that I'd really like to get FFVIII for my playstation. Well, a few days later she gave me a gift....but she messed up! She got me FFVII instead. LOL. needless to say, I played it, loved it and own tons of FF games now. But the next year (7th grade), me and my buddies spend all year talking about and playing FF games. It was awesome.

I take it you didn't know about the setting in the Config option which allows you to set controllers to each character for battle mode :neomon:

ahh, yeah. That is such an awesome feature. Made FFIX just that much better. I had a buddy playing with me the whole way through my first time too.

I have a friend who loves FF games and lives the same city as me. I could go to his place a few weeks ago and he let me play FFX and FFX-2 on his PS3!>3< I just tried the battle system, wandered around to see the world, the graphics and so on so it can't be considered as real playing I guess. xD But it was so much fun!:D He was really nice, showed me his FFX artbook and many other games, too!
Next week he will come to my home to watch FFVII: Advent Children Complete!:D
