What's your favourite band?

I've been listening to a lot more of The Dykeenies, The Pigeon Detectives and Placebo lately. And I'm finally managing to listen to Radiohead a bit too...

Placebo FTW
i really like Meds- the album it r teh win tbh.

I mostly like epic 60s and 70s rock bands with Guns N Roses and Metallica thrown in. And Oasis from the 90s, and indie-ish music atm

Meds is the only album I've got. There's a bit around the middle when it gets a little boring, but it picks up again. Infra-Red and Drag are orgasmic.

I dont really like that many bands as such, but I guess these count which would be classed as my favourites:

t.A.T.u
Dong Bang Shin Ki (Tohoshinki - they have about a million names!!)
Paramore
30 Seconds to Mars
Morning Musume!

umm, i don't really like that much music these days, not that i don't like music in general, but there aren't many good bands that really are what i'm looking for(symphonic power metals bands with a female lead, these bands usually have male leads)

anyhow
Lunatica is my biggest favorite, not that known, i'm sure, it's a swiss Symphonic Metal band with a female lead - leaning a bit towards the power metal aspect
they're usually very powerful when it comes to their non vocal part - which is very important to me, plus they always use clean vocals(however the song "The Spell" has some grunts, despite that it's my favorite song)

Nightwish - probably the most known Symphonic Power Metal band with a female lead - i like their old style more(soprano vocals) but their metal aspect is still amazing

Lacuna Coil - also a very known band, but they're more Gothic Metal, usually not my "cuppa tea" but this band is definitely an exception as they are very Symphonic and have a female lead(though with a male back up, typical to Gothic metal bands)

next to those i'm a bit sceptic about most bands, i also like Epica, but i don't listen them often, they aren't powerful in sound and have a guitarist who produces horrible and amateuristic grunts

as you might have noticed, these bands are all Symphonic Metal, so you can guess what my kind of music is
i used to be slightly into Nu Metal, but i find it Fail Metal now i know what TRUE metal is

i used to hate Metal in my early years, i always thought it was grunting screaming and ununderstandable lyrics, untill i found out about the Power Metal genre, this definitely changed things ,as i always adored Hard Rock and certain Hardcore Punk bands,
but these were too soft to me, so i decided to dig into Nightwish's genre and found out about Symphonic Power Metal, which is up untill now my favorite genre

i know many more Symphonic Metal bands besides Lunatica and Nightwish, but these are my favorites so i'm putting them here

needs moar muse imho

for me, Muse. There are definitely other bands I like, but I love Muse. I've downloaded at least four of their albums, and I still haven't listened to them all yet because I'm quite pleased with a lot of the songs I've randomly come by. Usually when I listen to a new Muse song is when I leave all my Muse songs playing and just randomly hear something hawt.

Leik New Born for instance.:wacky:

As my name implys...Sum 41 ^_^.

I also like...

Rise Ageinst
Blink 182
Linkin Park
Limp Biskit
Good Charlotte :D

The 2 bands I like the most are Theory of a Deadman and Alter Bridge

Absolutely love them. They are literally unknown in the United Kingdom and how I found out about them (aswell as my brother) is when playing Fahrenheit in which you can select 4 of their songs (which one is the main theme to the game).

I played 'No Surprise' and I loved it. I then remember after completing the game which 'Santa Monica' plays over the credits that I looked the game up in Wikipedia to see who the band was. Found out that they had 2 albums (now 3) and downloaded them immediately.

Alter Bridge I heard of through the fact that I like WWE and Edge is my favourite current wreslter so I looked up his theme song, got a hold of their albums and loved them. Going to see them in November.

Other bands/artists I like are:

The Goo Goo Dolls
Biffy Clyro
Lostprophets
Joshua Radin
Cary Brothers
Bloc Party
Guns N' Roses
Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers
Coldplay
Oasis
The Fray
Muse
Yellowcard
Jack's Mannequin
Circa Survive
Bullet for My Valentine
Fall Out Boy
Foo Fighters

Theres more but that's off the top of my head.
