I have far too many bands I like...but a few that rise above the masses for me include Pagan's Mind, Coheed and Cambria, Ayreon, Threshold...
 
Favorite Japanese bands: Dir en grey, X-Japan, Gackt, MUCC

Favorite American bands: AFI (pre-Decemberunderground), Disturbed, System of a Down

They all have music that's unique in some way and lyrics that actually mean much more than the current trendy themes of "i dont fit in at school i'm made fun of my girl left me my life is ruined i'm so depressed"
 
My favorite band would have to be Guns n' Roses. I LOVE THEM! I have loved them for almost three years now. I'm talking about early Gn'R, not the band today, they're still great now but obviously not as good as in the late 80's/early 90's! Another band I really like is H.I.M.! I mainly like a lot of classic rock from the 60's - 80's. :)
 
Right now my fav band is Three days grace. Most of their songs I'm into so...
