So I am basically replaying a bunch of FF games and I kinda got to wondering..

Which Final Fantasy have you replayed the most?

Any reason for that one?

Why replay it so many times?

It doesn't have much for replay value, but X will never get old for me. Pretty much everything about the game is addicting, even if I know what's going to happen next.

The other one is Tactics, mostly due to the type of battle party I can form. Haha.

I played Final Fantasy XII twice, though I must agree it had its flaws, it is the best in the series since IX.

No time for games nowadays, or else I would surely replay the new PC version of VII.

PS: Off topic, anyone play it yet? Any major graphical differences?

7: 3 times - I sweared to play this game every year but recently I discovered a shitload of new JRPGS!! So replaying games will have to wait a while. I plan to play it atleast 1 every 2 years from now on! A few months ago I bought a ps1 copy, up until then I had played the PC version only. I replay it because its probably my favourite game of all time, it has brilliant music, outstandingly charismatic feel to it and awsome characters/story.

10: 2 times - Brilliant game, might replay the game every 2 years! Oh yes! A game that focuses on character interaction and linear storytelling with sidequests near the end of the game. AND TONS OF THEM! This is to me what every JRPG should be like! I love it and I will never get bored of it.

4: Going for a 2nd time soon as I purchased a physical copy of FF4 The complete collection even though I played and finished the game for the 1st time in June. My favourite 2D Final Fantasy, the story doesnt have "useless parts" there is always something happening all the time, the characters are amongst the best in the series and the soundtrack is pretty amazing aswell.

8: 2 times - Replayed it this year as I had not played it for a long time! Now that I mastered the whole story and ideas within it, it will probably be a while before I replay it again ( also did 100% files both times I played).

9: I had started a 2nd playthrough but lost the save file, I was at the ice cave but I will only try to replay it in a few months because I ABSOLUTELY LOATHE THE BEGGINING OF THE GAME! IVE GONE THROUGH IT LIKE A THOUSAND TIMES! I CANNOT TAKE IT ANYMORE! Oh ye I HATE!HATE!HATE! the evil forest part. The only major complaint I have of the game is that it takes too long to start getting interesting, If only I could get my save back...

6:I will start a 2nd playthrough on the PSN version! Last time I slacked in the sidequest department so I will be going for 100% completion. I recently watched my bro play through the advance version to see the differences, its not worth it, the music sucks ass there and I dont want to play with the sound restoration patch because its still not 100% right! Thats right the most important factor to me in this game is the soundtrack besides of course the brilliant storyline up until the end of World of Balance and the backstories of the characters.. Searching for friends, Uouh!Amazing concept, too bad the encounter rate gets a little unbearable by the end of the game.

Hmmm, 7 or 9.

I'm sure I've played both at least 10 times through (not the sidequests though...only once or twice each with those). I couldn't really say why I played them so much...I just love the characters, music, cutscenes...everything about them really.

If 8 didn't require drawing magic, I'd have played that much more too, but every time I go to start it I think to myself: "but you'd have to draw in battles" and would just go off and do something else. Then there's FF10 which I've played a few times, but I need to have a bit of a break each time I complete that or the cutscenes start to drag out a bit.

For me it's X

I can lose myself in Spira any time, the characters, the story, it's the most magical game I have ever played, there is just something about it that speaks to me.

I probably do a full playthrough once a year.

Yea I'm replaying it just now, nothing major, PC music is still messed up which was a bit disappointing.

X is probably the one I've replayed the most, mainly because of the optional bosses, Dark Aeons, Penance etc.

Honestly? I have no idea. Must be X, X-2 or VIII. I know I've played them all over 5 times, but I can't really say how many exactly...maybe I've actually played X-2 the most...the replay value is amazing because it's composed entirely out of side quests basically and secret stuff. I can't say for sure if I've played it the most though, but it's one of those 3 anyway. I love IX but haven't played it as much for some reason. Played XII twice, played VII 3 times (but only finished it once).

Its pretty hard, i will say i have replayed VII the most, but it's probably one of the 16-bit ones, such as VI or IV

I've played X the most. Probably into double digits now. I try different builds, different routes through the sphere grid. Whatever tickles your fancy. I think it's a perfect balance of linear game play (As in if I set it down for 3 days I don't forget what I'm doing) and customizable characters and options. Plus Lulu is a bad ass.
I've played XII only once, but I have the sooooo many hours logged on it. It's the closest to 'open world' as FF gets. I have about 18 different save points, but have only beaten it once. I try to do different things, explore, chain build, enter areas early, power level, etc. I've started it over a few times trying to do different challenges too.

Final fantasy 9 is the game I have finished the most... a WHOLE 2 TIMES :D

But I have 'tried' to replay FF8 multiple times haha. I reckon about 4 or 5 times I have tried to play that shithouse game, I just can't seem to bring myself to finish it because it is so darn boring... so I dunno.

Definitely FFX. I've lost count on how many times I've played that game....it has to be at least 10 times. More than likely more than that since it's been out for over ten years now. Why do I replay this game the most? I love it. Plain and simple. It's my favorite game in the series and I constantly get the urge to play it, even when playing other games. It has an addicting battle system and a beautiful story (in my opinion). Next up would be the sequel, X-2. But mainly because I had to play through at least 3 times to get 100%. And then I replayed it again every once in a while after playing through X, but not every time. After X-2 would probably be VII.

Final Fantasy X!!! Absolutely love the game. I've played that game sooo many times, but I usually wait a while before I play it again to inspire that nostalgic feeling. The game is soooo beautiful in so many ways. First time I played it, I was absolutely amazed at how the combination of the the beautiful soundtrack and spectacles created an uplifting atmosphere. More than a decade later since the day I first played this game, I am still amazed.

Over the years mine is definitely 7 :) I've lost count how many times I have gone back through that game.

I have never played FFX! My brother traded it in years ago along with a few others to get a game that was new at the time... I have never forgiven him.

I will just wait for the remake before I play it :)

FF-8, totally! I keep coming back because I missed stuff the first times, but just recently I finished the game completely (using a manual) except for the 'Queen Of Hearts' side quest, because I kept getting stuck with the 'random' card law...bummer.

Probably FFVIII...I've played through it maybe four or five times over the years? No more than five times, certainly. Most FF games I've only played the once. I don't really feel the need to replay FF games very often...they're not really good enough to warrant it. I've only played FFVIII as many times as I have because it's so old, and because I didn't own a copy myself until I bought it off the PSN, so I was eager to borrow it from a friend...this was back in the dark days, where I didn't have the money to buy new games as often as I do now, or the consoles to play them on. xD

FFIX I've tried to play at least seven times now, though. It's just not working. It's so unbearably dull that I just lose interest and pick something that's actually playable up instead and just forget all about it. xD

I don't know if I've played X or X-2 more.

X-2 was my first Final Fantasy, and it was so much fun for me, especially in elementary, that I just kept playing it over and over. Learning more and more about it each time, discovering things I haven't encountered on my last play-throughs, and it was just great. Then I played X, and it was fucking wonderful. I felt like I was learning even more about X-2 by playing it, until eventually, I grew another root of interest that's merely for X as its own game. So then I played through that one many times as well.

They were my first Final Fantasy games! So I'll continue to replay them to the point of nauseousness, because nothing beats nostalgia.

By the looks of it I'm the only one that's replayed FFVIII more than a couple of times...

I can't put my finger on why I prefer it to the rest, there's just something about it that I really enjoy. I actually like the characters, Triple Triad and the junction system; call me crazy. I think the music has a lot to do with its replay value. In my opinion it's one of the strongest in the series.

FFX is one that I would love to pick up again, but I have a UK PS3 which can't play PS2 games :gasp: My best bet may be a PS2 on eBay...
