Which Final Fantasy have you replayed the most?

Ive replayed a few of them =D. The most times that I have clocked a Fantasy would have to be 4 and that was Final Fantasy X. Though i have replayed kingdom hearts 1 and 2 a few times =D.

I've played Final Fantasy 6 (and beaten) over 30 times. FF4 is probably around the 10 times beaten mark, FF1 has to be around the 15 - 20 times range, 7 a few times (3 or 4), 9 I've beaten once, FF3j NES I beat once, X I beat once, 13 and 13-2 I beat once each. Mystic Quest, probably 4 or 5 times.

I replay 6 so often because I love everything about that game (the SNES version). I beat the PS1 remake of it, but I'll never replay that version again; the load times are atrocious. The story never gets boring, each area is so well designed, the character development is amazing, the music is pure epicness at its finest. The game is easy, though. My last playthrough earlier this year (and the ones before that), I just make Terra invincible, dodging all spells (except Utlima and Meteor, which only deal around ~1500 points of damage, and her level 1 spells deal 7,000+ on those weak against them. I'm quite sure that I've mastered this game lol. When I fight Kefka at the end, I use her to kill off the party before attacking the final boss in the first form, and take him on from the bottom to the top with Terra, never having to heal.

How does one manage to replay any game that isn't a casual bit of mobile fun like Angry Birds or Temple Run for up to double-digits? It's sort of impressive I guess, but it's a rather awkward kind of impressiveness. I can't even think of a single film that I REALLY love that I watched for over five times. And that's films here, whereas Final Fantasy games are entire 50-60 hour long RPGs. I can never find the time, will or justifiable reason to replay an RPG that many times. :wacky:

Errr, it's probably FFIX for me. Despite what the only single major detractor of this game that I know has constantly said, FFIX is definitely nowhere near being worse than FFXIII. It actually exudes charm and character with a decent and delicate mix of lightheartedness and sudden, deep tragedy that certainly punctuates things. And it's also really slow in battles, sadly. That's something that cannot be dismissed, because it's objectively true. Still, I didn't let the slow battles get in the way and I think I must have replayed the game for around two full times and one unfinished third go where I'm somewhere in the Black Mage Village.

I believe for me it has got to be....Final Fantasy IX...I have finished it like 4 times I believe... or possibly 5 but most definitely 4. I love the themes, the atmosphere and everything :) Also go to love the card game and the chocobo hot and cold :D

It's a lot like re-reading a book I guess. I wouldn't compare it to films because they are so short, but games can have so much story and a whole world that you immerse yourself in, which for me I find much more like what happens when I read a really good book. I replay games for their story and pretty much no other reason. I don't know how people find the time to play things 30+ times though, but I think FFX and X-2 I've played about 5 times. VIII and IX I've played almost as much.

For me, It has got to be X. I think I've replayed that three times- but with numerous re-starts(Twice for each completed playthough) it hits six. I honestly hate most of the beginning parts of FF games- I hate the decaying temple of X the least...

Anyway, because of this hate, I generally run through a FF game once or twice. I ran the DS III through twice though. I enjoy the job system in it... and plus, the characters are plain templates so I don't hate any of them.

The first time I beat FF6, I was 12 or 13, given that was 17 years ago, that would be on average twice a year :P However, I can beat FF6 in about 13 - 14 hours, so figure 3 days at around 4.5 hours a day, it's quite easy to beat it that many times. I can beat FF4 in under 11 hours. I've always been accustomed to beating games quickly. I can beat Super Mario Bros 1 in 5 minutes, Super Mario World in around 12 minutes, Mega Man 2 in 30 minutes, and Dragon Warrior/Quest 1 in around 5 hours, FF1, last time I attempted a speed run, I ended at 6.5 hours in 1 sitting (about 3 months ago).

ETA: I hate mobile games. I beat Angry Birds (starring everything) in about an hour, and haven't touched it since. I'm used to console games, not cell phone/mobile games.

Oh god, I've played through most of them more than once. I probably have the most time put into X or X-2. I just can't ever get enough of the world of Spira. I have hundreds of hours put into the both of them combined.

I've played through VII a few times, VIII at least 2 or 3 times, and I've gone through IX a few times but only ended up beating it once.

Final Fantasy IX. I've replayed it well over ten times. I couldn't even begin to guess. I replay it every year, and more than once every year. It never gets old to me and I love re-experiencing the world. :)

Final Fantasy Tactics AKA War of the Lions. It was just fun to play no matter how many times I finished it. I have to play it over again just to reach deep dungeon. That level was so much to play especially with many rare items scattered on the place.

I've played IX twice, and next year will be a third time. It's such a beautiful game. The music, the lovable characters (and Freya :p ), everything is just awesome. This game will always be my favorite video game ever, and I'll never stop replaying it. It brings back good memories.

Which Final Fantasy have you replayed the most?

Any reason for that one?

Why replay it so many times?

It's between 7 and 9. I have replayed the hell out of them in my lifetime.

FFVII has a huge sentiment in it's story and gameplay, and FFIX is simply entertaining all around. They are easily the most re-playable in my opinion.

Specifically, VII is simple and yet easy to get swallowed into. It's great for passing time. FFIX is just fun, fun, fun- that's the only thing I can think to put it.

FFX. I love the story, the world, the characters - everything. It's one of the few games I've played that absorbs me right from the intro sequence and keeps me hooked all the way through. I'm not a fan of Kimahri but the rest of the main party all rank among my favourite game characters ever (not just in the FF franchise) - especially Tidus. As a writer, I am completely in love with the way the world has been constructed and I wish I could create a setting half as stunning, brilliant and inspiring as Spira.

I can't play it anymore because my PS2 broke back in June (coincidentally, this was the game I was playing on it when it broke!) so I'm really excited for the re-make.

Final Fantasy, Final Fantasy II and Final Fantasy Tactics, easily. FF1 I've probably replayed 2 dozen times or more, and 2 is probably at least half that. Tactics is around 6 or 8 times now, counting the PSP re-release.

Final Fantasy IV in all it's versions. I've literally beaten at least the SNES/SFC release at least twice a year for the last 20-21 years. I cannot even count the total number, it would have to be well over 200 times. The only one that comes even close is FF1 (mostly NES) with at least a complete play-through per year average.

FF's VII through X are definitely a golden age in Final Fantasy series. I notice that those are the most commonly replayed by most people. Taking the series to the Playstation was a very good move- I saw the betas for the 64, as they originally intended to keep it on the Nintendo, and it hurt my brain just to look at them.

Anyway, it was a golden age because Squaresoft had a lot more to work with. So of course, the games rocked. But then, Square signs up with Enix and all of a sudden, the series starts getting.. different.
No coincidence there, really.

I've had more replays with VII and IX then any other, but have also played through VIII considerably. Played through X twice- might have one more go with it, since an HD version is immanent, but I think that will be it with X.
