Haha yes Anima is Seymour's mother.
I love how when you summon her against Seymour Omnis he says: 'So you would oppose me too' or something like that.

My favourite is the Magus Sisters though, there my strongest and the funnest to use too, especially when they revive eachother!

Yojimbo is one of my biggest hates in all of Final Fantasy, purely because of Zanmato,
It's such a stupid idea to have an attack that can kill the final boss in one hit, its just stupid and a cheap way out.

I played through that whole game and only recently found out Anima was a female because I don't remember her gender being mentioned.

With that said, I never got any of the optional Aeons. Didn't know where to find them or how to get them. Probably would have used Anima the most because I fell in love with her in that first scene she was in.
 
Yeah that scene in Luca is one of my favourite FMV's.

I don't think it is mentioned, but Seymours mother became the Fayth at Baaj Temple, so it isn't implied that Anima is a female, but her Fayth was.

For all we know Shiva could be a guy? :D
 
I never really used aeons much in general, but Yojimbo takes this spot for me because he is the sole reason I was able to beat the Dark Aeons.
It's just a pain in the arse that each time you get him to use Zanmato he seems to higher the amount of money you have to pay him to use it again.
 
I used Anima the most because of the overdrive and I loved the intro as for the Magus Sisters I never used them cause of there random attack's and Yojimbo is a last resort when fighting a strong opponent because I like a challenge and I don't like to take the easy way out.
 
Anima easily. You can control him/her. Magus sisters are annoying to try and get what you want to do. Yojimbo is badass but $$$.
 
I choose Anima.....something about maxing out with his overdrive just thrills me....seeing that 99999 come across is like Peanut butter and jelly or Spaghetti and Meatballs...just can't be better.....plus it's awesome seeing this thing do a flurry of Deafening blows in a diverse dimension, Magus Sisters have a good Overdrive, the fat on has the highest health and they usually last the longest....but their over drive takes like 3 minutes.....and it doesn't do as much damage as Oblivion, plus the sit and do nothing from time to time...which annoys me... and YoJimbo..... if i were to preform his best moves.....i would be coughing up over 300k just for his best move.... as of right now tho, idk if he's got break damage limit.....will find out later on that part, plus his lesser moves suck..... so i'll not be using that till i have to...
 
I got a good trick you might like, you might already know it.

In the game settings, you can change the Aeon's sequences from full to short (or something like that), when you use Oblivion with the shortened animation you can go past 99999, max i've had was something like 500000!
 
Anima, is my favorite. He is a bad ass and his overdrive is so awesome. But I don't like using him unless I have too, because otherwise it would be way too easy.
 
Anima, normally i like things with a little more adaptabillity but anima just takes care or mostly everything in my way. It took out jecht's first form on it's own, no hidden tactics or anything, just strait brute force. Yojimbo is my close second, he has a cool style and nice attacks. But since he's a merc you gotta pay him. Blood sucking bastard. The magus sisters are close to yojimbo for obivious supiriority, they are last 'cause I don't use them much and only their leader seems really serious.
 
Of the 3 listed aeons, I am sing Anima more....cause hes an evil freak...shes the biggest baddest motherBEEPER :cookie:

But ti be honest, so for in the game (aquired airship) I really dont use animas..I like the idea fo having animas on your side, but They take too ang to summona and use...I would like to have SUPERNOVA even though it took forever to use for sephiroth...that was awesome. :alcoholic:
 
I always seem to use the Magus sisters, then spend half of my time going "STOP TAKING AN F'ING BREAK...YOU'RE MEANT TO BE WORKING FOR ME!!!"

So yes, the Magus Sisters are good, as long as you don't mind only two of them working at the most. They're bloody strong, though
 
For the record now, I don't know if Anima's a male or female anymore. I always thought it was female because that's what the aeon's beginning form was -
Seymour's mother.
But clearly since I just spoke of this, you can guess that the one I use most is Anima. She can easily kill common enemies or give you an extra boost help in big boss battles (like the ones in the arena).
