Win 98 soon to be Win XP!

I read a comic saying that Mac users go to hell because Gods still made about the whole 'forbidden fruit' thing

I can show it toy ou if you want.

Aren't the Mac OS a Linux derivative?

Hey I found this awesome Linux OS called XandrOS. I've tried it and it's awesome. I've tried Ubuntu but I just didn't know how to mess around with it or wanted to mess around with it. I just wanted a Linux OS with little learning curve as possible. When I build a new computer, I'm going to get XandrOS and put it on there. They do have a free version so that's nice. Or so I recall.

Windows is having too much security problem. I might still use it because of the huge software base but it's downhill with Windows if they keep having these security holes and such. That or I'll go use Windows 3.11 for Workgroups. That was the best Windows ever.

The Mac OS is close, but it more of a copycat to Linux. Not exact.

Anyways, as for me, I have to say windows for the current moment. Yes, the security holes are a problem, but that's where the fun comes in. I script it to patch those holes up using a different program, but that is me.

Comparing Mac and Windows together, I hate the Mac's simplicity. It offers nothing new in terms of the programming except the minor language changes, but Windows has patches for that. On top of which, it is nearly impossible to find programs, let alone features for the Mac OS that are worthwhile. In turn, I have to go with windows for this.

Programs. That's the reason why I haven't gone over to Linux completely. Also, there are so many versions of Linux to choose from. The average Joe Schmoe doesn't even know anything about OS and what not. All Joe Schmoe wants is something that is user-friendly and do what he wants. It's the same with Jane Schmoe.

And with Macs, I hate their one button mouse. Why should I click and hold? Right click and go.

Windows XP. I am not moving to any other system until I REALLY need to get a new computer.

Depends what you want to do. Windows is going to have a lot more software and you can generally do anything with Windows. Macs are more limited in their software capabilities, but have much better security and a more user friendly interface. Macs are generally more expensive than Windows based machines.

However, with the new Intel chipped Macs, you can run Windows on them (or run both Windows and OS X) which is actually what I'm doing on my newest computer.

I'm assuming this is an operating system poll though (Windows/Linux are OS's and Mac is sort of a type of computer). I still have to vote Windows, there's just not enough good software on the Mac.

I use Ubuntu Linux (version Dapper Drake 6.06) using the KDE desktop. It's marvellous. ^_^

Wheres all in the list 0_0. I have 3 hard drives, each with a diff os. Vista, XP Home, and Linux-Ubuntu. I love XP and Ubuntu, Vista was a waste of money.
