I wasn't a big fan of FF when XII came out, so I just got the regular version. I didn't want to spend the money on the Collector's edition when I wasn't ever sure whether or not I even liked the series, let alone the game XD

I saw the Collector's edition onsale at gamestop for only $20 not to long ago though, so I may swing buy and get it one day, since I'm a crazed fan now =P.
 
I own the collectors tin case one, I have the normal copy, and the special international zodiac one. I got them mainly for collection and well....looks I guess. :elmo:
 
whats in the extra disc?

what do you mean history? some kind of movie intro of pictures?
 
I had just gotten the regular version. =(. I wish I could've gotten the collectors edition. I didn't have a job at that time though and use all my Birthday money to get that dang game. >__<;;

It was worth it though. I still love the game.
 
I got the collector's edition. There wasn't a whole lot on the second disk to compensate for buying one, though. Now they should be about the same price, get whichever you feel like getting. I'd actually prefer the original box.
 
I never knew there was a collectors edition. I just got the regular version after it went platinum, I got it almost a year after it first came out so I probably missed any opportunity to get a collectors edition.
 
I got the Regular Version when it went Platinum.

I actually didn't even see a Collector's Edition anywhere so I never knew about it until now.

I'm rather pleased I did too because it wasn't the best game in my opinion. So I wouldn't have been to happy if I had spent anything more.

Still, it would have been nice to get that extra disc. XD
 
i got the regular one becasue i just don't think this game or the series was good enough for me to get the collector edition. there is only a few game series that i would spend extra on to get the limited editon one

Regular Version

I wanted to get the collectors edition but they said they were not getting the collectors disc.
 
I didn't even know that there was a Collector's Edition until about a year after the game had been released :monster:

It goes without saying that I was abit peeved when I discovered the it onsale at Gamestop for only $20. I was like, "How in the world did I not know about this!?"

So, regular edition for me, sadly.
 
Regular edition for me :).

I have an OCD about certain things, in this case, the casings.

Since the other FF's are "regular" edition, I got the regular edition for FFXII.

Haha.. I'm weird :eek:.
 
I have the Collector's Edition. But lucky me for waiting til the price went down to around $20 before buying it. Still, the only thing I liked about it was the art, even though I got that badass strategy guide(that limited time one when art and stuff).
 
I got the regular edition. I could have got the special but didn't seem worth it and I am glad I didn't although the gameplay and stuff is awesome. I did not really like the story and the way it was set up.
 
I had the extra money so i bought the collectors edition. I didnt have to pre order either they had a ton of them at the midnight launch.
