Whos your favorite Final Fantasy Character?

I like squall,Cloud,tidus,zidane,and kain.they are kickass,no contest
 
More effort in your posts please. Explain WHY you like these characters above all others. Simply saying "they're kick ass, no question" isn't a reasonable explanation and will be considered as spam.
 
I like quite a lot of people, so I will be making epic poast:

Dr.Cid (FFXII): Ah, finally, a Cid with a difference. He was rather an eccentric fellow, and I thought he was just so funny to watch. He was kinda hot (I'm not alone in thinking this), and he was so fun to battle <3

Ultros (FFVI): Ah what an oddball Octopus 8D - provided many moments of hilarity!

Judge Magister Ghis: AMG -humps- >_> One of the best characters in XII, he had an epic voice, and cause many people problems when fighting with him 8D.

Judge Magister Bergan: An evil eviiil man, but omg, he was totally awesome. He made like epic speeches, and looked srsly scary. His armor was pretty damn sweet too.

Rubicante (FFIV): A noble villain, who always healed you before fighting him. :3
 
It's kind of hard to pick really but...

Zidane (FFIX): I like him cos he kicks ass... jokes :) The real reason I like him is because he's my favourite protagonist in the whole series. He's an upbeat dude living in some grim times and he has an enthusiasm and spirit that inspires those around him. Plus he has some pretty lol-worthy moments.

Gilgamesh (FFV): one of the most memorable bosses ever, in my opinion even more memorable than ExDeath the games main antagonist. Who can forget the Bridge scene?

Kefka (FFVI): What a nasty piece of work, certainly the nastiest in the series. But he's still sadistically funny throughout, but believe it or not he didnt always used to be like this; one of the games many tragic back-stories.

Laguna (FFVIII): He lives the sort of life I want to live; travelling round the world with my mates, getting lost, having a arse-kicking battle theme song, and fighting dragons to make ends meet :)
 
sorry.i like cloud because of his stats.he is a good all around character with good magic and strength and his limits are good and solid.also,his enemy was a good pairing that brought out his inner character.i liked squall because of the transformation he went through from being a dull bird to actually caring for others.Zidane was a cool guy to use and his trance form was a suprise along with the abilities and the fact that he was really strong for a theif.Tidus was in my opinion a change in FF protagonists.he had so much potential and that end game suprise at what he really was was something ele.Kain i liked because he was my favorite character of his class out of all the FF games:Dragoon.Just seeing him jump in the air and come crashing down on foes was nice to see
 
I will have to say that my all time favourite character is Aerith, why? Because she has a much deeper side to her than most people realize.

When we first meet Aerith she seems like the typical airhead, there to just get on your nerves because she seems to constantly be in Cloud's space. Flirting and being a total airhead but the aspects of her character are quite deep.

First of all she has a tough personality, her father was killed and her and her mother were held hostage by ShinRa. Once they escaped Aerith then lost her mother and was handed over to another woman whom took care of her. Years or even days later she soon begun to realize she could hear the voices of the fallen, speak to the dead and to the planet. Now at such a young age, I don't know about you but I'd sure as hell be freakin out.. yet she didn't. She is able to stand her ground, keep a strong and positive attitude no matter what the odds, the Turks for instance are constantly trying to capture her and she doesn't let that get her down nor any of the other stuff.

Secondly Aerith carries a big burden on her shoulders, the weight of not only being the last centra but also carrying the world also. Being the last centra, the rightful last of her kind would be such a lonely experience to go through, sure she had her friends, in fact they came into play later on in the game but they didn't understand, or at least.. not completely and yet Aerith kept strong.

I guess the deeper sides of her personality and the playful side also are just enlightning for me to see in a character such as her. I love Aerith to bits and I know of so many people that usually like one and hate the other (Tifa) but they're both equally beautiful characters in their own way. :)

My favorite characters in FF are:

Tidus: I liked him because he had cheerful personality and he had a pivotal role in the story. I just simply could connect to him. Being in a new world and then discovering a shocking truth about yourself, but he never lost hope. And in the process he managed to save Spira.

Balthier: Awesome personality, but he also has a good heart. His backstory was quite interesting and gives him a very sound motive to join the party. What he did at the end shows what kind of man he truly is. It makes him great in my book.

Auron: I just loved how he knew a lot of things, but never revealed more than needed, so the plot unfolded quite nicely.

Yuna: Even though she knew what fate awaited her, she never faltered. She was a really well developed character.

That's it at the top of my head.
 
Auron: He hardly said much, it was like, need to know basis and he just just so epically cool....seriously, he just looks awesome. I am complete fangirl and I'm no ashamed to admit it. Everything about him is just..:wacky: He is just so badass, the moment I clapped eyes on him was like, love at first sight :ryan:

Dr Cid: This guy is just genius, he's like, off his box, easily the best Cid ever...

I thought his relationship with Venat was brilliant, and that no one else couls see him, made it even better, also his RS with Balthier too, he was liek, the only decently thought out character in the game. One of the best characters ever imho

Irvine: Haha. When I was little I used to crush on him. I just loved his whole look. I thought he was a great character, albeit always chasing after girls and stuff. I mean, c'mon, his lonely sharpshooter tale could win anyones heart. ;) And his cute obessesion with Selphie. :-) And when he leaves the dirty magazine for Rinoa and Squall. I rofl'd. <3 Classic character!

Zell: Such a enthusiatic, fun character~ I love most of his lines in the game(FFVIII). I also find his relationship with Seifer funny. "Chickenwuss" I also like him because out of the party, he was the one who acted on emotions. Impusively, but it gives you an idea of how emotional he was. He would never think it thought, just acted right on heart. I admired that about Zell. He was very passionate. Also, I love his fighting style. His limit break was awesome, too. :-)

Personally I disagree, though for the exact same reasons you stated you liked her. Aeris is one of the worst mary-sue's I've ever seen in a JRPG. And that's saying something. As for Favorite Characters -



Kefka - Easily my favorite villain in the entire franchise. Villains tend to make the game for me, and Kefka is pretty much the reason why VI is my favorite in the series. He was evil. Not because he had some terribly cliche past, or an Oedipus complex, but because he just wanted to watch the world burn. He was insane and a clown, Almost like a mix of The Joker and Jafar in video game form. He arguably had the biggest impact of any of the villains in the series. He was present from the very beginning and was one of those characters you couldn't help but love, or love to hate.

And most of all, he wins. He becomes a god and destroys the world. Sure he's defeated in the end, but that doesn't change the fact that the world is in ruins and 90% of the entire planet worshiped the guy as a god. Compare that to sephiroth. Half of midgar is destroyed and... that's about it. He had such little impact and pathetic personality that, at least for me, he was such a disappointing villain coming right after kefka.



Zidane - Pretty much seconding what Finchester said. While I liked cloud and squall more when I was a younger angsty/moody teen, since I've grown up zidane has become one of my favorite protagonists next to terra and cecil. He was fun, aloof, and was never too serious. He had a certain upbeat-ness and enthusiasm that was quite refreshing after the more angsty/moody protagonists of VII and VIII.

Zack: for a character with almost no development or time in FFVII, Crisis Core expanded his personality made him one of my favourite characters in any game. He fits the noble hero perfectly
(also the tragic hero for that matter)
and the relationship between him and Aerith is wonderful.

Sephiroth: the expanded character, not just the original version. I love the fact that Crisis Core made the character human and showed the reasons for his descent into villainy.

Tidus: one of the most strong-willed characters. Considering all that he goes through and then the fact he actually makes the hard decision at the end is staggering.
I absolutely love the fact that he and Yuna are rewarded at the end of FFX-2.

Rikku: perky, bubbly, quirky, compassionate, cute, and intelligent. She is perfect.

Yuna: another strong-willed character who goes through hell. And, with FFX-2, she is shown to be quite a bit like Rikku in that she can be quirky and fun loving.

Vivi: introspective, philosophical, quite innocent, and yet strong despite any issues he might encounter.

Zidane: an odd mix of Rikku and Vivi if you want to say it that way. Energetic and fun loving, he also is quite philosophical. It was also nice to see a character, much like Tidus, who loses it for a few moments.
 
well in a matter of fact (first post here), mine's between Tidus and Zidane, their both go with my personality, cheerful, dedicated, funny, and they clothes are pretty amazing!!, I once believed that my character was Cloud or Squall...but heeeell no...I hate them both so much jejeje, we should get a HATE like post of characters...for ex. Squall..looks cool...but he personality is sooo damn irritating, he is soooo shy, and Cloud...geez I hate this guy...im TIRED of him, seeing him in every FF related thing...geez...in fact...if you remark FF7 story...he is NOBODY...he's just...nothing...in fact ZACK was a true hero...jeje LOL sorry the Cloud fanboys out there jaajaj
 
FFIX: Zidane - he's one of my favorite characters in this game. he makes stupid jokes and does weird things. he kinda reminds me of some of my friends i have, and makes me laugh. i.m.o, he tries too hard with dagger/garnet, which makes it hilarious.

FFX2: Rikku - i think she's really pretty and silly. the silly part reminds me of myself, which is why she's my favorite character!

Possibly Auron. I liked the aura of experience, wisdom and confidence that was around him. In FF terms, he was a fairly unique character, which truth be told, you don't see too often. Plus, the flashback/Jecht sphere scenes were great too, and were a fantastic addition to his character. His vulnerability and anxiety in them is fascinating, and endearing!

He was damned useful in battle too. He had that "bail you out of the shit" sort of quality to him.
 
I would definitely have to say after a lot of serious thought that my favorite FF character overall would have to be Zell from FF VIII. No matter what happened, Zell always put others before himself-he was a character of love and pure heart. Zell was a sensitive person and that made him all the more unique with the way that he handled every character around him. To top things off, even through the hardest times for the whole party, Zell was there to lighten things up with his carefree attitude. (When he wasn't complaining about not being able to get hotdogs in the cafeteria....lol) I admire Zell for his fun style and his emotional humor...it always cheered me up in real life.
 
As far as characters go, Zell was pretty realistic if you look at him personality. He suffered from typical teen angst and the problems of growing up.

As for monsters, i've always had a little soft spot for Tonberries.
 
I liked Penelo.
I really like how emotionally strong she is.
And I love how she is cheerful.

I like Rikku, too.
I love her cheerful, silly, and upbeat personality.

I also like Balthier.
I really like his cocky, self-centered personality.
