Why do you keep watching this movie?

I can say Ive never watched this film 5 times a day, thats just ridic IMO. You must have nothing else to do in your life then ... Ive watched it about 7 times since I purchased it last year and its mainly for the action scenes.
 
I have watched this film a fair few times as well. The first time i watched it was the Jap copy that was released on the Net. I still enjoyed the film even when i had no clue to what they were saying.

I think it was worthy enough to have a cinema release, and show Hollywood bosses on how a CGI film is made.
 
I mostly watch it again and again, 'cause all my friends wanna see it . . . even my cello teacher is on the list . . . 0_o But sometimes I notice something I didn't notice before, and if I'm watching it with someone who's already seen it as well, I can do commentary throughout the entire movie - for example, "What a bleak future of barren wasteland and subtitles . . ."

So you're saying that the way she was in the game originally was the wrong, and vulgar looking Tifa?

As far as watching the movie goes, I've watched a few times, but I don't watch any movie daily. Especially not this one. It's a good movie, yes, but solely because it's based off of FFVII. Were it any other film, with the same graphics, plot and storyline, then it would be a terrible example of film.

5 times a day is wayyy to much. I've watched it twice so far. Once on the day it released with Aztec, then a few months later I showed a friend of mine who hadn't sen it yet since he was the person who got me addicted to the Final Fantasy series.

No need to watch it THAT much though.
 
I watch it every once in a while not for the story seeing as there is'nt much of one. Mainly I watch it cause its just so graphically stunning some of the fight scenes are amazing. Also cause the Reno and Rude parts are amusing.
 
I watch it in Japanese sometimes, it is ment to help with language skills, to watch a film in a language you are learning. I watch it with subtitles. I think the Japanese version is better, even though I can't understand it without subtitles. It just seems more real. Maybe because the mouths are moving in sync?
 
Yeah, 5 times a day IS a little too much, even for someone as obsessive as me. O_O That's like... eventually, you'll end up going crazy from watching it too much. Lol. It's best to watch it again once every WEEK, or something. Or once every 3 days. But 5x a day? >_<
 
It's a film with massive appeal...when you first get it. Once you get over that initial period of thinking 'Wow, it's FFVII with better graphics and voices and everything!" then you begin to realise, it's a decent film that just so happens to be based on a brilliant game.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying it's a bad film! Just not an amazing film either.

Thats a brilliant point. Thats what i thought, because it was based on FFVII it was brilliant but after seeing the film a few more time i realise it is average at best
 
I have watched the film a fair few times so far but I wouldn't say I'm obsessed with it! I do go through my fazes though where I might watch it twice a day for a few days then I'll get over it. I think I like watching it because of the graphics and because of how awesome all of the characters look. The fight scenes are pretty cool to watch as well. I suppose because it is Final Fantasy VII as well, that makes me want to watch it a lot lol. If it was about VIII, I would be watching it a lot more. :P

Maybe it's the fact that I like the game so much...or perhaps is bcus I have a huge crush on Cloud...^_^
 
Thats becasue i love the Movie and the Game^_^..........well i saw it for 14 times ....and i still want to see more ....:P
 
I hated this movie. But if I ever did watch certain parts again, it would be the scenes generally unrelated to the stupid Sephiroth-clone plot.
 
i only watch it cause i like seeing all my favorite characters in high-quality graphics. its cool to hear their voices too, plus im a huge fan of the whole FFVII franchise so i couldn't not like it.
 
Agreed. For me it was like FFVII but with high def graphics!! I love this movie but I've only watched it like 5 times. I liked the extras on the dvd as well.
 
I've seen this movie about three times. First time when it came out on the internet, it was leaked. (2005?) Second time on DVD, just wanted to watch it in better quality. Third time in English, it just my friends and I trash talking the movie.

It's just a fan service movie. -_- I didn't think AC is that great....
 
It was good eye-candy, but that's about it. I didn't really like the "storyline"...or if you could even say that it did have a storyline. I watched it about 7 times overall, and I admit that I'll probably watch it again later down the road. Why? I don't know. I just love the movie even if it has many flaws. I prefer the Japanese version though.
