Worst Characters

Which characters do you dislike the most in FFX? My list is as follows:

1. Seymour. Annoying camp villain who really got on my nerves more than once. Hard to kill and a real pain in the arse. There are so many reasons I dislike him ranging from his annoying accent and voice, to the fact he is persistant; he kills his own father in cold blood; he is a lying, conniving, self-interested scumbag. Just everything about him is wrong. Yuna should've got her act together and sent him sooner.

2. Brother. The Al-Bhed from Cid' airship. I mostly dislike him because of his voice, but then there's his dodgy haircut and just about everything else which I find irritating.

3. Tidus. His voice was irritating. And the fact that he kept whining throughout the entire journey about everything. Okay, I understand that he did go through a lot in the game, but he took far too long to grow up and realise that he had to look after himself because no one else was going to do it for him. I just thought he wasn't the best protagonist for FFX.

I can't think of anymore at the moment. But I have a longer list for the characters from FFX-2. God, they were even worse!

So which character in FFX is the most hated then?

Well, I kinda agree with you on all of the above. Plus, that punk Seymour beat the stuffing outta me. (I mean the one AFTER the battle where he summons that Aeon.) Like hell I'll learn Hastaga...

Plus, Wakka was an unneccesary character. They could've made his voice better, his weapon, his overdrive, basically everything about him.

And DON'T get me started on Tidus's voice... I have shudders just REMEMBERING it. The guy in charge of voice acting should have been shot.

Personally I liked Seymour. True, he was as fruity as they come, but his personality and appearance definately made up for it. Too bad they didn't keep that deep, masculine voice he had in the Japanese version for the English Dub.

But this isn't a topic where we talk about characters we like, so...


1 - Tidus. Pathetic. I swear to God, I dislike this guy with a passion. I mean, kudos to him for not being those angsty emo characters like Squall, but he's no Zidane. Zidane was happy and friendly, and he was that WITHOUT being annoying. Tidus on the other hand was happy, friendly, annoying and stupid. If there's anything I dislike, it's an annoying person like him trying to pass himself off as a leader. I was waiting for Auron or Lulu to punch him in the teeth.

Kimahri - Normally I'd like a character like him, but conscidering that he is the weakest character in my party and that his speech impediment was irritating...

Shelinda - Sure, she was nice. But she needed a different voice actor.

That's really all I can think of at the moment. I liked everybody else.

1. Kimahri - needed his own set of moves - never really interested me as a character really - also his postion as Blue Mage isnt really useful as his blue magic really is a joke

2. Brother - One word - PERVERT! ok sure this is fromm FFX-2 but he is FFx...... and still....He fell in love with his cousin eww!

3. Tidus - sure Cloud and squall were angsty but he was just Whiney!! one of the most me me me characters ever - annoyed the hell out of me and dont even get me started on his voice eugh!

4. Issaru/Donna/Bartello - Were they even needed - My Answer no

5. Yunalesca - Asif she had 3 forms!!! It took me ages to kill her on my first playthrough and you have to go through that long long long scene every time??? No way - Ditto Evrae.

However differently from the majority - I actually liked Seymour, i found his back story interesting and his apparence as a good guy turned bad guy turned Phyco bitch (lol) was a refreshing change from the likes of Kafka And Kuja who were Just evil - Of course hes still as wimpy as a dustball compared to the lord of hell sephiroth - now there was one plain evil character who carried it off (but i digress)

1.Evrae: I REALLY hated that thing. I got on the airship, and I couldn't beat it the first time. So I thought I'd try to train, get money for Phoenix Downs, whatever, but I couldn't. Gah.
2.Brother: I really like nothing about him, from his voice to appearance.
3.Wakka: Eeeeh, he's alright, but I hated his hair, and I thought he was to obnoxious. And I HATED trying to get his Reels, 'cause I suck at Blitzball.

I didn't like Kimahri at all. He just was the least interesting character. I had no desire to really use him at all or develop him from the start. Just something about him I never liked....

I totally disagree about Tidus. Think about it - in his shoes, wouldn't you be a little ... different? Dragged 1000 years into the future, watching all of your friends and family die, watching so much trouble in a new world?

As for characters to hate ... the bible-bashing "Infidel"-calling Priests really got on my nerves.

Tidus - we all know why, I don't need to go into a 5 paragraphed reason why, It's simple. He's a cock.

Ronso Brothers - Firstly they De-manned Kimahri, Un-called for. And they act like the illiterate morons at my school.

I agree. People just deal with things in different ways, and I definetely think that other people, if put into his situation, would be worse than him.

I liked Auron up until the end of hte game, where he's like "YOUR FATE IS IN YOUR HAND AND NOW I'LL SLICE THROUGH THE SPHERE VERSION OF MYSELF WHEN I WAS YOUNG AND GHEY".

Then I was like "Okay, where did the badass go?"

Well basically all the characters that you have already mentioned, so i don't have to explain myself to any of them, well except for yunalesca, she wasn't that hard though Evrae, i hated that thing, but that as well as, hmm... that is all by the look of it

Hmmm, I didn't really see him as being arrogant. Just confidant, but there's nothing wrong with that, especially since it was before a game...

Gawrsh, Auron was a god. :coughs:

1. One word. Tidus. {I didn't like the way he went on, okay. Its like how I dislike Rinoa, I just didn't like her.}
2. Seymour. I hated him. Hated him! Yeah, when you first play it you're like.. "Aaah, he's cool! OH WOWZERS LOOK AT 'IS SUPA AEONZ LOL" and then he goes all "I'mma takin' ova der wurld lulz" on you. x3 He was just a right ponce. And how he came back, again, again, AND AGAIN! The second time it was funny, third was excessive and forth was just random.
3. Rikku. I just began to excessively hate her after a while, she just got annoying. Yeah, she's a big help when everyone's angst-like. But she does get annoying after a while.

P.s It is true, Kimahri is internationally hated! I like him. D:

Tidus deffinately Tidusi couldnt stand him whin all the way through the game i still think if they had put shuyin in the game instead of tidus it would've been a way better game
