Worst Injuries

Probably one of my worst injuries would have to be when i was 8 or 9 and i built a little ramp in my backyard made of a wooden plank and cinder blocks. I started off in the grass and when I got to the top of the ramp my bike got stuck and i fell off. I got up and my arm was crooked. I had broken it, i had to have a cast on it for 6 weeks. The doctor said the bone almost poked through my skin on my arm. It felt like my arm was on fire when i broke it.

My worst injury was a series of scrapes and cuts from a really rough fall.

I was running the 800 meter in track, and someone ran right into me, sending me slamming down onto the concrete track. My whole left side was banged and bruised up, my elbow taking most of the damage with two big holes in it. My hip and shoulder had minor but broad abrasions, and there was a small cut on my knee.

Man, that was some fall. The craziest part was that right after they doused me in peroxide and bandaged all the cuts and scrapes up, I had to go compete in the two mile as well. I ended up placing third, which gave us enough points to win! :D

I've had many.

The worst of the worst came (which is also not much from what I've read) was slipping into one of those huge canals of sludge and ickiness that abounded in my old neighborhood/city/country. Horrible stink, horrible wound. I was scared I would contract some kind of plague or something to be honest, 'cause the thing was so dirty.

Second worst? Busting open both my knees when I ran down the cemetery aisle between the tombstones on a downgrade. Thank goodness it was early morning and unusually bright.

Here is my list.

Let's see here. I've had quite a few serious injuries.

There have been 6 times when I had to have stitches on my head: 4 on my scalp and one for each eyebrow. There was another time when I was about to open a door just as somebody was coming through from the other side. I think they were in a hurry too coz they opened the door very quickly and bashed my left eyebrow. It left a deep gash. It was good enough to have stitches but I didn't get any. I now carry a scar that goes a little deep into my eyebrow.

There was another time when I was working in the family tile business. A customer wanted tile instead of carpet so we went in and tore out all the carpet. I was using a scraper to get some carpet glue off the floor. The blade was starting to get dull and not scraping as efficiently. I hit this one particular glue spot and the blade got stuck. I pushed and pushed until the blade finally got through the glue, only to end up about 2 centimeters into my big toe on the right foot. I shoulda wore shoes instead of sandals that day.

One time when I was working at U-Haul I got shot in the mouth by a pellet gun. The pellet pierced my bottom lip and knocked out the canine tooth on the lower jaw on the left side. It broke clean off right at the gumline. The root stayed. I guess I got strong roots.

In sixth grade I twisted my right knee during football practice. In seventh grade I twisted my left knee during a football game.

When I was about 4 or 5 years old, I jumped into a sandpit. It was about a 4 foot jump. Add that to the height of my 2 foot jump. (because I raised my legs.) Bad move. I ended up with a long-assed nail embedded clean through my right foot. That still hurts me just thinking about it.

There was this one time back in February when I dislocated my right thumb. I was working at a local bowling alley as a mechanic on the pinsetters. On one particular pair of lanes the belt that returns the ball wasn't aligned properly and the belt kept coming off. I stopped the machine, put the belt back on, and then turned the pinsetter back on so that the bowling balls could be returned to the customers. As the balls were going back, I noticed the belt was still a little bit off centered. I reached my hand in there to center it up the rest of the way when a ball came, pushing the belt up. It grabbed my hand and pulled it all the way around the pulley. My thumb ended up getting dislocated and fractured. I popped my thumb back into place right there on the spot. The fracture has since healed but the pain from the dislocation still bothers me to this day.

Out of all these, I only saw the doctor for the stitches.

Who wouldn't >_<

When I was just a baby I cried and the tears wouldn't come out of my right eye. It was operated over three times but it eventually healed. Now my eyes are slightly different. Not exatly and injury but still.

I haven't got many anyway.

WHAT THREE TIMES?

thats really scary
They said there was something blocking the tears in the tear-canal or something. Gives me the chills by just thinking about it. Mom said that the whole hospital rang with my crying. That's even worse.

that is the most saddest thing i ever heard
Yours is worse. Anyway let's try and stay to the topic, this isn't a spam thread.

Once my toe nail got caught up in a gap in the floor. The whole nail ripped off and the toe started bleeding uncontrollably. I wanted to call an abulance but I didn't. The nail fully grew so I haven't go a scar.

I amost drowned once, didn't injure myself although I did pass out in the water :monster:

All I remember is falling in then being fished outby some woman

I was only 5 or so, and I STILL can't swim haha

Oh, I scalded my feet in the bath when I was 8 months old, me mum thought I was with my dad and my dad thought I was with my mum and I climbed in :gasp:

Negligent twats

There's four:

When I fell down some stairs at the park. I was about 8 or so.

When I nearly drowned thanks to some assbrat who carelessly jumped into the pool, unknowing that he jumped on top of me. I couldn't breathe for a minute. I didn't necessarily get any injuries from this event, but it was pretty scary.

When I had run extremely fast in a school yard and attempted to jump over a huge pile of bookbags, which resulted in my foot getting caught, causing me to fly into the asphalt and get a huge gash on my leg and burns on my elbows. I had a scar for about a year. Fifth grade.

When I got hit in the wrist with a fast ball while I was playing softball. I wasn't aware of exactly what happened to my wrist, all I knew was that it hurt like hell and that I couldn't move it for a week.

I've never broken a bone or had anything toooo serious as of yet... *touches wood* But I've had my fair share of cuts and bruises anyway. When I was younger I was always covered in bruises from playing footie and just generally being a clumsy sucka.

A few years ago in gymnastics we had to jump onto one of those balancing horse things from a springboard and then do this twisty backflip thing from it. Well, me being the stecky lump that I am jumped onto it and when I got to a squat ontop, fell backwards cutting my back on the springboard. >< It stung like hell and I had this huge gash going up my spine which for some reason I kept laughing and laughing at. :wacky:

I got a slight injury on my ankle from playing netball a couple of years ago.. nothing big though. I had the ball and then this big tank of a girl came flying at me knocking me over, followed by a stampede of girls trampling me causing me to twist backwards on my ankle. It was nothing big, I just couldn't walk or anything.

Ugh, and I got this humongous purple, red and blue bruise on my ankle today along with a big cut and bump, after my dartboard fell on my leg. :gasp: And I have bumps on my head from about an hour ago when I was headering balls from a trampoline...

Well my worst was when i cracked my head open i dont know how ibe heard 2 ways
! smashed a glass tale with my head
2 or when i cracked my head on a corner of a wall

When i fell of my bunk bed nocked my teeth and blood came pouring out

That time when I was trying to be cool while I was playing basketball.

It was a really rainy day, the roads were flooding, we were going to be released from school about an hour from the time I was in the gym, and the windows in the gym never get closed. I was playing Basketball with a bud of mine, I slipped on the floor, and cut my lip wide open.

I had to have a few stitches put in it, and it's left a nice little lump on my lip, despite what Mr. Doctor said about it going away in six months.

I was also hit by a stupid bitch in a car once as well. She was talkin' away on that damn phone, and didn't pay a fucking shred of attention to what was in front of her. She pulled out of her parking space, and I rolled up on her windshield, then rolled off.

I also busted her headlight with my knee when she hit me, but I wish I would have busted the windshield instead since the crazy bitch tried to sue us for it later.

Worst?
When i fell down on one occasion. That place, my previous school had real rough floor at the parade square... And whew, to fall on it... And slide like some rock star? That left a scar that i still have today.

While sliding down the slide (redundant, but...:wacky:) with my little cousin in the middle of my thighs, (he was too scared) the right toe, second to the big fat one, hit the railing stopper at the end.

I was missing a toe for the next five months. :argh:

My 'worst' varies on how others view it I guess.

I broke my neck doing High Jump in Track and Field. People tend to think that would be my 'worst' injury.

But I say my worst is my hip. I've broken my hip three times while running. This was the worst for me cause it made me lose my track scholarship. Also, it freaking hurts. With a neck, you get a brace and you don't have to move it that much. But with a hip you realize how much you use your hip. It would crack when I sneezed, laughed, coughed, rolled over in my sleep. So for me it was my hip.

The worst injury I had was when a drawer fell on my big toe. The whole nail felled off, plus it hurt when I was walking. And I was 5 when that happened.

Ummm, i broke my leg when i was 3, that was 11 years ago so i dont remember much.

I split my thumb open when i was like 5 and i had to go to the emergancy room and my cousine was there and like it was weird because family arn't ment' to quote un-quote surgery on you so yeah it was weird.

When i was 7 i got attacked by my friends dog. Nothing that serious i guess... :-)
