I wouldn't want an X-3, no way, I mean they could do something like a prequel like they did with 7 but in my opinion they don't really need to touch on 10 anymore.

I'd love to see anyform of breakdancing to Scatman John. I think that'd be the only way I'd want an X-3. Only if it included the Scatman, if the Scatman can do it, so can you.

I do but I think we can all agree on the fact that X-2 lost its appeal long ago and expanding on that is a terrible idea. If you've noticed, many people consider this to be the worst Final Fantasy - this is the only one without summons. Though there is a good reason, I wonder if there's any connection? xD

I wouldn't mind playing as Braska, Auron and Jecht, though. The only fear I'd have is that there'd be a distinct lack of excitement, given that the outline of the game would be identical and there's almost no room for adding any in - otherwise, Auron would've mentioned it/we would have seen it in a sphere.

On the other hand, I wouldn't mind going further back than that - back to the original Zanarkand - and finding out exactly what happened with Zaon, Yunalesca, Lenne, Shuyin and the Machina War.

But no, no X-3. If they do plan to do any more spin offs of this game, then a prequel would be better.

No, not really. It would be ok if it was done properly, I guess. If it happens (and I HIGHLY doubt it will) Squeenix' first concern should be fixing Yuna. This will put all Yuna fans at ease and they can go on thinking that X-2 was nothing more than a ..weird phase or something. Second, they'd need a truly epic storyline. The list goes on.

And like what others have said, a prequal would probably be better.

God no, I'm sure I've posted something onthe lines of this before, and I still say NO. What's left to cover? Prequels just leave more bloody plot holes with the addition of new characters that were never in the original, and the sequel has already been done which tbh, can't be further explored becauseit was all wrapped up with a fuzzy pink bow at the end of X-2

You have, I just spent the last 10 minutes hunting the other thread down in the X section and it was in the X-2 section.

Anyway, I woudn't want an X-3 solely for the fact I don't see what good could come from it, X-2 but a bad mark on X due to the fact it was a squeal which turned out to be a disaster and was just a dire game all-in-all. The only chance I would ever give X-3 is if it was a prequel to X but even then I think the plot would be too similar to that of X so I'd say no.

Like bambi said, prequels don't work, as we already knows what happens. Anyway they'd probably turn it into a story about Chappu so they'd have an excuse to turn Lulu into a slut.
Also I don't think going back to the original Zanarkand would work, as only Yunalesca appears in FFX. Because Lenne and Shuyin are in FFX-2 is enough reason to not include them in any form of spinoff. It's like trying to make syphilis worse.
So, since there shall be no prequels, we move to sequels. Which could only be Tidus and Yuna having kids, and the kids killing stuff or having a middle aged Tidus and Yuna battling against Seymour who has come back to claim Yuna. Both are absurd

It just would not work.

aeons/summons are not essential in FFX-2.
it's just that is not aeons were not compatible within the game.
and why many people crying that Yuna were "destroyed" in that game?
hell, just think Yuna will be wearing the same clothing she wore in X.
i love playing the game and that else matters.

If you get the perfect ending in X-2 there really isn't a need for another game, and it's not like everyone in the world hasn't seen it. XD But I think X-2 was bad enough, and if they did try and make a X-3 it might be to try and redeem themselves. D:

i think they will not. for the players who hate the game, its for sure that they will not enjoy it, but as for the fans (i'm one of it), I'm sure they will.

An X-3 would be great IF they made it with as much care and thought a X. Maybe more than two song could be memorable and the characters could actually *gasp* stay in character and not speak only in cliche`s (also they better not decide to clothe them any skimpier(how about add more coverage!! that would be great Square!!!) or it won't be T anymore...). Personally, the prequel idea, featuring Auron, Jecht, and Braska, seems a little redundant if you actually collected all the spheres in the first game. I would like to see a game that focuses on a character other than Tidus or Yuna. Don't get me wrong, they could still be major characters but they've had their turn. Something like Dirge of Cerberus was for FFVII would be the ticket. Except they should make the game to the same quality or better(if that was possible) as the first. Sequels are only bad when they are made quick to milk a good idea; Spiderman 2 was as good as the first in my opinion because they obviously didn't treat it like 'just another sequel.'

In reality, I don't think they are going to make a sequel because they said that FFX-2 International was the end to the FFX series. I watched the bonus after-the-perfect-ending part (it was an extra level) with English translations on Youtube and it ended like an end to the series. Ohh well.

But who could they focus on with a relatively decent storyline? Not anyone else really. The main party that travelled with you, doing a game based on them wouldn't really deliver well I think, unless there was plenty of filler material in, which is what it felt like in DoC.

i hate x-2 so it would be worse if they made x-3 i mean ff games had never had sequals and they made it rubbish, so whats the point in draggin on the story line, ok tidus died and yuna couldnt get over it, end of story...NEXT GAME PLZ, there is no point is making x-3. i mean that people may want to go deeper into the story but i got all the story first time playin 10 so whats the point in seeing what happened next its relli pointless
