Would you play final fantasy into your 80's or longer? I would, until death do we depart. Or , do you take this less seriously and see yourself loosing interest in a few years. Do you think you will loose interest even if you do not see yourself doing so yet?

How much do you love this series? Do you think you will always play it ?

unless your playstations last another few decades then yes, but by that time we could INSIDE the games themselves...

I've been playing it for more then 15 years, and I don't think it's gonna change anytime soon! :D

That'll be me 60 years from now. Those good old conventional video games. How things will have moved on. Virtual reality will be new and scary to all of us. "That's not how we used to play games in my days! You young 'uns and your VR!"

It's dependant on whether I have something more productive to be doing, trusting my joints would operate in a required manner, and that I'm not dead. :wacky:

It's unlikely that I'll be playing video games, though I won't be dismissing the prospect.

Those of us who are still alive should have a big old folks get-together!

We could play all our favourite classics, such as FFXV and Super Mario Squash Brothers!
:monster:

That said, the prospect of getting old scares me. Life's too short.

Instead of playing cards, we would all come together and play Mario Kart! hahah, I would so beat all the other grannies!

sounds like you want to marry Final Fantasy... but mos def, i will play until my fingers fall off... or until they stop making new ones and all my old systems break...

I'll keep playing if I don't succumb to senility...or lose my eye sight.

Hell...it's not like I'll have anything better to do if I reach that age. Kids will be grown up and outta my hair. I'll be retired from work. My body will be old and frail, so I won't be moving much.

A spot on the couch and a videogame would be perfect for an old fart.

i doubt that FF or i will be around in 62 years, however if i was 80 i might indulge in playing games, its not as if id have abything better to do at that age.

the thing is though, you wouldnt be playing FFVII or VII you would be playing FFXXXXXXVI, and the earlier games if you could still remember them would be bring pain as you would never be able to play them, and nostalgia would make them all great even X-2, it wouldnt be much of a life

I'll move this to Final Fantasy Fun section...

I don't think age should matter... If your retired, your old, and got nothing else to do other than the occasionally vacation and seeing family then why not? :neomon: I'll probably still keep playing video games. Probably after I retire I'll have time to play an MMORPG as well.

This will be the best part of retirement.

I will be able to play video games all day, not have to worry about a job, and no one can stop me. :wacky:

And then when my grandkids come over and I try to show them wonderful classics such as FFIV, FFVI, Chrono Trigger, or Secret of Mana, I'll smack them up side the head when they complain about the graphics or the fact that they have to use a controller.

As long as I make it there, definately! I mean, all the elderly you see these days tend to focus on their hobbies from when they were younger, so we'll be the super elderly, beating all the young-un's at video games :P

Though our poor hips might not work so well with the wii and such...

thats the point i was trying to make, you wont be able to do that, it will all be obsolete and pretty much unplayable. Whilst playing the new games you would be constantly be remembering the classics, and how the new games just dont measure up in comparision, whilst your memory would be terrible about whether or not you switched the gas off, you would be constantly be haunted by the memory of the past games, and everytime you played the new games you would be knowing that you cant play the classics anymore, and then the pleasure you get from playing would be inextricably linked to the pain of knowing about the classics but it would be a never satisfiable desire, you would transform from an 80 year old video playing senior citizen to a modern tantalus.

well maybe not :wacky:

It probably would not be the center of my entertainment if I lived that long. but if I did, I might.

Though I somehow doubt it, as I'm already preferring a different franchise of RPG games.

Don't know really. I'd like to think so but in a more realistic view probably not. After all its a long time, the series wouldn't last that long and let's face it I'm a clutz, I'm simply not going to be around :neomon:

However sitting down on a sofa doing schweet fuck all apart from playing FF and other games, telling the liddle ones "this is how REAL games are played" in retirement does sound quite appealing.

I'l either be dead or demented, so no I probably won't :wacky:

What makes you think you'll be around at 80? World may end in a few years rofl. I doubt I'll be playing any of the new Final Fantasys as they are being released fro the PS3 and Im not forking out more cash. I'll continue to play the old ones untill I just can.

Once I've finished up at uni, I'm moving out of home and buying a bush block in the middle of nowhere, living in a tent and/or hut, bath in the streams.

That means no TV, electricity and all those modern comforts, so sadly that means no Final Fantasy as well. Small price to pay.
