So last night, my husband wanted to play my Last Odyssey game, but then he changed his mind the last minute and put Bully in instead (which I am so thankful for!). So the game tries to load, but kept freezing and we had to restart like 4 or 5 times, but it still kept freezing around the same spot.
So I took out the disc and saw that there are 6 ring lines - my XBox had scratched the disc! Now, we did not even touch the console or moved it even just a little...I know you're not supposed to do that. So why in the hell did it scratch the disc? Even more pressing question, when I play a game here real soon, will it do the same to my other games? I'm afraid to find out...so I guess I'll put in Kung Fu Panda first just in case. >.> But even still, this is really ridiculous. I shouldn't have to 'test' any disc just to see if it gets scratched.
So what should I do? Call Microsoft or Gamestop and have them take a look at it? =/ I've never really dealt with console problems until now. I know my bro-in-law had the ring of death 2 days ago, and he called Microsoft and they'll be replacing his console (not the hard drive) for free...though at first they tried charging him $100 but he started to complain. It'll take about 3-4 weeks until his new console arrive I think.
Anyway, I'm not touching my XBox yet. >.>
