It's the truth bub. I work in developing as well, although it is not game developing I am very very knowledgable how coding works my friend. Well, sorry I wasn't trying to "slander" you. I guess it came off jerkish. How does having knoledge have anything to do with FFXIII?

Bah i was just restating "speculations" stated by the developers/makers of the game. I would love this game to come out tomorrow, but it isn't going to happen. I would love to trust the official release dates, but most just haven't been hit lately. Always pushed back for some stupid reason or another, but can you blame them? You put countless hours/days/months/years into developing a game .. you don't want it to flop. You want it to hit big with the Old Final Fantasy Community and the New comers. So Cheers to SE , for whenever this beautiful game comes out whether it be 2009, 2010, or even 2011..
 
I think that if it doesnt come for japan PS3 in june/july 2009, it probably will come 2009 late...and for US/Europe about 2010 spring...thats because the developers have said that they try to have the delay between different versions as small as possible...but for X-box360, I think it will launch about 0.5-1year after PS3 version for US/EU.
 
I read somewhere the international release has been pushed to early 2010, though the Japanese will be out in 09.

Something to do with trying to make the game atleast 100 hours long including sidequests and such. Something along those lines anyways, I'll try and find the site I read it on again and post it here.

Both the 360 version and ps3 version are being released at the same time.
