Your Favorite Final Fantasy Character?

Sephiroth because he's the sexiest bishie in ff ,has pretty long white hair ,wears sexy badass leather clothes which shows off his body, has a big sword ,has a sympathetic backstory and because he killed a manipulative succubus.

I just have to ask, what in the absolute fuck is this "manipulative succubus" and "slut" characteristics you keep posting regarding Aeris? I understand if you don't like a character or a game, we all don't like everything. But you take this to a different level. It's actually borderline annoying honestly when all you read is "slut, or manipulative succubus" anytime you post regarding FF VII. You still feel the need to just throw it in there and keep spewing it over and over.......AND OVER. WE GET IT! YOU DON'T LIKE HER! This thread has NOTHING to do with who you hate, it's about your favorite character. And you still feel a need to trash her character and throw BS like this. :ffs:

Anyways back on topic. I'd have to go with Cecil as my favorite FF character. I love how he transforms from a Dark Knight and evolves into a Paladin. And when you learn more of his back story it truly is awesome.

I honestly am not sure which character is my favorite. I have difficulty picking an absolute over all of them. o.o

I think the ones that make the top of the list are: Vivi (FFIX), Freya (FFIX), Vincent (FFVII), Aerith (FFVII), and Nanaki/Red XIII (FFVII).

Vivi:
First and foremost, I have a soft spot for Mage/Wizard characters. Could be the wide-brimmed steepled hat, could be the flowing robes, could be the unfathomable power available at one's fingertips. I'm gonna go with all three.

Vivi is possibly the most adorable little Black Mage I've ever played as. But that aside, he is one of the perfect examples of absolute power coming in small packages. As a child, he has that natural curiosity about the world, but I can't help but feel for the kid as he slowly understands the world around him. His innocence gets him in trouble, yes, but he isn't dense. Granted, he's young and has a lot of growing up to do, but that's done over the course of the game.

Freya:
Tragic characters are simply fascinating. In this case, we have a dragoon whose lover has forgotten her. As strong and stoic as Freya tries to be, her heart is truly torn inside. Granted, at the end of it all, she gets back together with Fratley, but he still does not know that he has loved her before. She may be happy that he is with her again, but her previous time spent with him is still lost.

Vincent:
I'll admit that the design for my main RP character was originally a female Vincent Valentine. Yes, she has come a long way since then, but those who have RP'd with me about a decade ago (Has it been that long already? Holy cow...) would remember the early designs.

That aside, Vincent is yet another tragic character. He still cannot forgive himself for being unable to prevent the very reason the world is in peril during the events of FFVII: the JENOVA project and Sephiroth's birth. His inaction not only cost him the woman he loved, but it also led to the transformation into the monster that he has become. Because he feels he still needs to repent for that treacherous sin, he tries not to get too close to anyone else, lest they also meet their demise thanks to him. Even after Meteor is destroyed, it's shown in Dirge of Cerberus he is still full of regret for what he was unable to do.

Aerith:
Granted, Aerith was designed to be the sweet girl/guardian angel archetype, but I can't help but like her. She's caring, tries to look out for others, and would prefer to sacrifice herself for the sake of everyone else around her, as shown when she turns herself in to the Turks for Marlene's sake. She may not have had much screen time, but she still had a heavy impact on the rest of the party.

Nanaki/Red XIII:
Since I grew up with a lot of cats in my life, I'm fond of feline-like characters. As a kid, having a lion as an ally in the game just seemed like the most awesome thing ever. Whether or not that's actually what Nanaki is, I don't think we'll ever know.

After thinking his father was a coward after so long, he had vowed to never become like his father. Yet once he learns the truth, he tries to honor his memory, perhaps as a way to seek forgiveness. One of those classic father-son tales.

Lightning, I guess.

Cloud.

He was my first FF hero, actually. He's my favorite because I can relate to him in terms of weakness, not knowing who he really was, his lack of social ability and his awkwardness. I put myself down a lot because of my weaknesses and I'm growing up, so who I am isn't clear to me yet. As a kid, I didn't really have trouble interacting with others but now as a growing adult I do. As for awkwardness, I just...lol, I dunno, I just am. I hesitate a lot in doing things and then other times I just do and say random stuff. Probably how I stand, walk, and react to others is awkward, too. I've been told that I'm awkward as well. But maybe Cloud is more quirky than awkward, or are they the same? o_O

And it's because of those things that he is very human to me; that's another reason. He's the most human hero I've ever seen. And he's so humble about everything, too! Just naturally! God, I wish I could be like that... Plus, he fights against his weaknesses even though he doubts them to overcome them. So, yeah, I think he's a pretty awesome character and that's why he's my favorite character (and, I know this might be weird, but he's handsome, too, to boot! With muscles! And that Japanese voice of his... -_-).

I like Walla from ffx I can relate to his character a lot as I tend to be the one keeping up the spirits of those around me

*wakka

Tifa, Cloud, Aeris, Barret and Sephiroth are all very favourable characters so far on FF7. I haven't completed the game yet so I might end up liking more characters most likely:)

my top 5 characters are:

1. Yuna
2. Rikku
3. Serah
4. Vanille
5. Ashe

It's so hard for me to choose, but honestly I really adore Tifa from FFVII and Quistis from FFVIII on my females list. As for males, I'd probably say it's a toss up between Zidane Tribal and Larsa from FFXII. It's too bad Larsa was only a side character.

Its difficult to say, as there are an insane amount of awesome characters in the series, but I have to go with Basch,Fang and Squall

Basch-Dudes a badass in combat, hes an ex judge magister,so you know hes no joke.
Fang-Shes the only character that became ragnarok, which was wicked and shes another badass warrior to boot.
Squall-He was melodramatic character, but was awesome because he outdose Omnislash with Lionheart, who would have thought that possible back then.He also defeats his rival Seifer, who actual kills Odin in the story, isnt that screwed up?

My favorite character has to be Terra from FFVI: I felt particularly connected to her because of her journey throughout the game in learning about who she really was and the path she took to find the truth. Her personality was also one that I resonated with as well. The theme of Identity is one I've always associated with her; it's a path many people don't want to take, but when they discover their purpose, they'll be able to make peace with the demons in them as well (much like Terra and her Esper half).

i had to think 3-7 good long months for my favorite character...and i now have it. at first, i didnt know it, but the more i searched him up, the more i noticed i enjoyed his coming on the screen, and the more i loved his witty replies and his soft lovable personality, i just knew it. i searched in my heart and knew it was true.

my favorite character of FF all history is Zack Fair, from FFVII.

I don't know if I've already posted in here or not. Well if not then my favourite character has to be Tidus (unpopular opinion I know) but I think of all the heroes he's the easiest to relate to, the most real, and he goes through a lot of character development, more than most of the main characters in the series. He comes from a world like ours, so when he gets taken to a world like Spira we can identify with how he's feeling more, and we see him go from desperate to go home (which we can totally understand) to appreciating the world he's coming to know and wanting to help the people he's coming to care about. He goes from a selfish spoiled celebrity to just a boy who's willing to give his life to save a world that isn't his own. I love a lot of other characters, but he's definitely my favourite.

I Like snow. (yeah i know, he got al lot of hate, i dont care) Because he IS a hero! Always helping everybody getting himself in trouble. But he does not care about that. Like Zidane he is the same kind of person, helping because doing nothing is not a option! And i like that, those are the heros!

Cloud and squall are up there to, and Gilgamesh of course. I am just playing crisis core, and until now Zack is the man!

Sorry for the dubbel post but i like to post like Quetzal did!

FF 2 Leila
FF 5 Gilgamesh
FF 6 Sabin and shadow
FF 7 Cloud and Tifa
FF 8 Squall and Seifer.
FF 9 Zidane
FF 10 Auron
FF12 Fran
Ff13 Snow lightning
FF13-2 Gilgamesh!
Crisis core Zack.

Hands down the best character has to be Kefka he's such a insane clown. *iconic laugh and music*

"...AHEM! There's SAND on my boots!"

My favorite characters are Sephiroth (FF7), Seifer (FF8), Squall (FF8), Rinoa (FF8), Quistis (FF8), and Lulu (FF10).

I like Sephiroth because he is the quintessential badass villain. Kind of like Yujiro Hanma from Baki the Grappler. I like Seifer because him and I are both arrogant in the same way. I like Squall because I can relate to him. I like Rinoa, Quistis, and Lulu because they are all incredibly beautiful.
