Your favorite location

For me it's Oerba. It's extremely fascinating to me, I can't describe the feelings I had when I arrived there the first time. It makes me so sad... I feel so sorry for the people who have been living there long time ago. I want to know who they were and how their daily routine was looking like.

And of course there's the music!

I agree, Oerba. I particularly like the music that plays, I think it's a great reflection of the situation there.

The Theme Park for sure and then I would say Palumpolum for 2nd.

Mod Edit: Please elaborate on your posts, thank you.

I reckon my favourite Nautilus. The sights, the crowds, the atmosphere, it really created a theme park atmosphere well. And the graphics added that on top, the Eidolon Parade reminded me so much of Fantasmic at MGM/Hollywood Studios at Disney in Orlando. The graphics, whether it be in FMV or just normal, were gorgeus too.

for me my fave area is the Sunleth Waterscape. I like the ambiance and background music singing to it. I even have a save file for it so I can always go back.:busta:

The Archyte step..........yeah.

Full of terrifying monsters...........oooooohhh.......a place where survival is an everyday struggle and the behemoths run free and could rip the living snot out of ya....Titan roaming around in a circle(?) for some reason always made me feel.....WTF.

I would camp near the sheep given the fact that nothing eats them and they are near a lake......plus if push comes to shove they might make for good eating.......I think enough determination you could possibly tame an Amphisbaena(big flying guy with 2 mouths).

I loved Orphans Cradle. I loved the magical look that it had to it as you walked around through it.
Then next I'd have to say Lake Bresha. I loved the way this place looked, it really reminded me of FFX with Lake Macalania and the Macalania Woods. Simply beautiful location.

That place when you walk outside and you see this huge monster walking in the distance, the whole place when you explore it is really kool, it reminds me of Shadow of The Colossus.

^ Gran Pulse probs. I LOVED Gran Pulse, only place I thoroughly enjoyed, nothing else left a real lasting impression. GP is such a beautiful huge location.

Eden. Eden was awesome. I liked everything about it, I think just being in the presence of other people was something different, and pretty much every enemy you need to grind CP/Gil are within that area. I really want to say the Archylte Steppe just because it's not as linear as other areas...but one big field with linear routes spanning off it doesn't impress me.

Seeing as I've finished the game a short while ago, I can look back at the whole game in retrospect now. I've said Sunleth before, and I'm changing it to Nautilus now. It's an easy choice seeing as the game distinctively lacks many locations that I consider to be really that great.

Nautilus is the most memorable. The neon colours in the mostly night setting and the sheep & chocobo areas really provided me with a lively atmosphere, which being a theme park, is what Nautilus should be portrayed as being. It has the biggest wealth of NPCs in the game and I was just in comfortable territory again being able to eavesdrop into what actual citizens of FFXIII are generally chatting about without a battle or disaster happening around me.

As other have said, I do wish some actual attractions could have been available in the form of minigames though.

If I had to choose just one it would be Nautilas..........But I really do adore the snowy mountains in oerba.

But liking Nautilas is really kind of sad.........

You only visit the place once with Sazh and Vanille........After you complete the game you can't revisit.......which really makes me angry :rage: when I want to just chill out. Yes you can go Gran Pulse to chill but that place is infested with mosters lurking around in every corner, along with no NPC's so technically there is nothing to do other than explore, level up nd do missions.

It would of been better if they had another warping thing to Nautilas and there maybe they could of added mini-games along with a music and movie theatre like in FFX.

My fav would have to be Oerba. The village covered in crystal dust, surrounded by water reflecting the sunset, was very pretty. But it was also the perfect representation of a lifeless, eerie, and desolate place. "Dust to Dust" has to be the best music in the game too. I love how the music doesn't stop when you get in battle either - it really adds to the atmosphere of the situation.
Also, an honorable mention to the Narthex. It's small, has nothing in it, and I still don't know exactly what its purpose is, but I love its simplicity and lighting. The place always sticks out in my mind for some reason...

Sulyya Springs for me. Its calming and being surrounded by water just seems to make it even better, also the fact that Bismark resides there. My second favorite would be Oerba, the eerieness and yet simple tranquility of it makes it a perfect place

My favorite place in the game was bodhum beach. I loooooooved the scenes with the fireworks and the night sky...and the beach was intricately done. The scene where Serah and Snow talk at the end of the pier was breathtaking. Gran pulse was pretty nice looking the first time I saw it too....makes you feel very small when you are in a place that is so vast and expansive.
