Anime Your first Time?

My first anime was probably Akira back in 1990-91, or some of the old Gibli studio movies, that was awesome.
 
Actually you know what...I think there were others from when I was still back in the Philippines. I believe they're animes, although the language wasn't English or Japanese. There was Ceddie (a kid who got separated from his mom to live with his grandpa), Peter Pan, and Nelo. Of course, the titles were probably altered then.
 
Well my first anime was Dragon Ball, back in '95 I'd say. Real classic and all time favorit, until DBZ came along. Well was aired =P

But have to say that Pokemon was also one of the first animes I've seen. And in the begining I was rather sceptical towards it, as they moved DB an hour later, so that made me hate it, until they showed some decent fights and of course Mewtwo. *nods*

But DB was the first and Goku pwns.
 
My first anime was Sailor Moon.... Sailor Moon use to air on the WB channel at 6 in the morning. I use to watch it before I went to school. Also I watched Sailor Moon on Cartoon Network back in 1997. (When Toonami first aired.)

After that I started watching Dragon Ball Z and Gundam Wing. Also my first anime on VSH was Ah! My goddess and Fushigi Yugi.
 
I think the first in dept anime I watched was Samurai X, after that I went on a frenzy, watching from Balisk to Afro Samurai.
Pokemon...well, I actually preferred the game more to the show, the same goes for duel monsters, or yugioh. I've preferred watching the originals though..WB is evil to cut out all the good parts..>,<
 
Sailormoon when i was about 6. What i find funny is that the series actually went dirty.

As a little kid, Samurai Pizza Cats, Sailor Moon and Dragonball Z. But I didn't really think of anime as a separate category until Pokemon.
 
This may surprise a few people, but my first anime was actually Sailor Moon. I was introduced to it by my sister while it was on cartoon network in it's heavily editted version...

I should really watch it uncut, because I heard all that was really cut out was the lesbian stuff and the last season, StarS.

Its AGES long, but I watched it when I was like 3 or so.

every one of those you see there, has his own super power.
except the big nose dude, and the girl.

the main chara is 009. the one that has the light clothes, he had a teleportation ability.
I remember some of the others, but not all. so I wont bore you
 
my first anime must have been..*thinks about it*.. Yu-Gi-Oh or Pokemon or maybe Digimon, one of the 3 I'm not sure thought
 
Technically, my first anime was The Noozles and Adventures of Little Koala, which were two koala bear shows that aired on Nick Jr. in the late 80's early 90's. But I didn't know what anime was back then or even that I was watching a cartoon from Japan.

The anime that got me into anime was Sailor Moon. I used to watch that show everyday on Toonami and was sad when they were no longer translating episodes. I eventually started watching Dragonball Z and then Ronin Warriors.

Now I've seen more anime than I can count.

I do wonder sometimes ...

Mine was KumKum, a series about a naughty caveboy. That was back in the mid 80s. Most of the cartoons broadcast in the 80s are anime, the Moomines are anime also, but French anime.
 
Hmm, my veeeery first anime was Naruto, the first episode with the Toad Sage and Naruto's Sexy Jutsu. I was twitching so much by the end of that episode--I had no idea what was going on!

And right after that, I watched BoBoBo BoBoBoBo and Zatch Bell.

It was months before I ever turned on Cartoon Network again.
 
I used to watch all these old school anime movies with my dad which were on every Saturday , its a shame I was too young to remember any of the titles I would've loved to have watched them again now that I would actually understand whats going on lol, the earliest one I can remember was Akira

I think it was Robotech or Mazinger Z; men, i used to watch them with my older brother.

Ah, those were the days... =P
 
my first was robotech. when i was a little kid, my dad watche dit. so i used to watch it with him on sunday nights.. it used to be on USA network i think.

funny how i remember that.
 
My very first anime was probably Sailor Moon. I remember coming home after school and always watching it.
