I just noticed that in FFX you did not have 2 others behind you. Hrm...?

Did you miss that? Would you like to have seen it in this game? Tell and Explain..

Really? I thought it was kinda cool but funny too. If I kept doing circles they'd do it too. XD. Classic.

LOL this reminds me of the time when I was giggling nonstop (I was only 13 or 14) because Squall (or one of the boys) would go climb a ladder and either Rinoa, Selphie, Quistis would be up ahead them (vice versa)...well, you get the picture. xD I suppose having followers can be quite fun and amusing. But to be honest, either way is fine. FFX was just fine as it is...and if they did have it like VIII, it really wouldn't have made any difference to me...

I guess. lol. I would've like to have seen it though.

OMG! I so know what you mean about the latters!! Lmaooo! Classic.

Oh the fun that could be had with those laders. Really makes you think where they got that idea for that scene in FFIX. Anyways I didn't care either way, it was to have them around at times, but then at the same time I didn't miss them.

Actually I miss it in the other games. :(
It's more realistic if there are followers behind you and stuff but otherwise there's not much difference. At least that's what I think anyway.

i was never a fan of that whole following you thing. before X they only did that in VIII, right?

LOL! I used to do that too, that was pretty entertaining.

I don't really miss it because it looks better with just the one person in my opinion. I love Final Fantasy VIII and I did like how the two people followed you but it looked silly in a way because they all had the exact same movements at the same time, like in the army lol. I suppose I do miss that in a way though, it did look cool at times. Either way is just fine for me really.

VIII was the only one I remember, yes.
XII does it but that's obviously after X.
VII is like X, but people seem to come out of Cloud. haha.

It really has more to do with not bogging down the system itself, that way they can get all of those eye popping graphics as high as they can without the system doing a bunch of freeze frames while you run. Same as in FFXII, when you run you’ll notice the others fall off the bottom of the screen, then catch up when you come to a stop...

Lol... Sorry, I'm just being a :nerd:

Anyway, answering the question, I sort of missed it, then again, not really either.

Ehhh I could careless if Tidus had two people following him. I don't care either way. It is fun when two people follow the main member then you can giggle about the latter thing and run around in circles with two people behind you.

It was better as they didn't exactly get your way. I sometimes experienced this in FFVIII.

It is kinda strange in some ways, but i find it helps me more when they dont follow me around as previous characters from other ff games have done

The followers always seemed to provide a sort of comic relief to me in VIII. It was like a game of Simon Says. I'd spin spin spin, run a straight line. They'd spin spin spin, run a straight line. xD

So I guess I could say I kind of miss the followers.

In XII, the line formation and copycat movement of followers was ditched for the Kingdom Hearts's triangle group alternative, but that was probably because of the active combat system.

I really dont care if the characters follow or not, as long as they show up in battle.

I remember I'd go fast, slow, fast, slow, fast, slow. The two beind me would then do the same, but at the points where I'd done it rather than at the same time. That made the line look rather crazy and even out of control; like an error or something. Haha.

I did miss them in X a little, but the lack of them didn't mean the game was less enjoyable. I would have liked it if the characters had been following, though. It would have also made it a little more realistic.

I preferred the arrangement in XII, where the characters following were more independent (with Gambits on). The characters didn't look like robots with parrot software installed. xD

The followers in FFVIII were quite funny. And the most enjoyable part was when I used Squall, Selphie and Irvine to go up a ladder( Irvine's look was right under Selphie's skirt) or down a ladder(the same thing but Squall). I wish there were followers in FFX.

lol, i like how X did it, the screen would fade or the other characters would just be in one area and when you moved on they just sorta moved on themselves, they didnt walk into you and become one with you, nor did they obnoxiously walk behind you. i suppose XII required it due to the battle system, so i didnt mind that one so much.
