Your most emotionally intense moments in Final Fantasy

FFVI - Cyan running after the Phantom Train as it's taking his wife and son away, and the scene at Figaro Castle with Edgar and Sabin, where Edgar asks Sabin if he thinks his father would be proud of him.

FFVII - The scene in the Gondola if you're on the date with Tifa. The fireworks obscuring the words she had so desperately wanted to say was very sad.
When Red discovers the truth about Seto: best music track in the game. I have shed many a tear while watching that scene.

FFVIII - Squall losing his mind and piggy-backing Rinoa all the way to Esthar. Then talking to her unconscious form about his feelings. Real turning point for his character, imo.

FFIX - Everything about the black mages, especially when the one in the graveyard tells Vivi about the knowledge of life and death.

FFX - The ending (many tissues were used).
The ending of X was just heartbreaking, in a good way. It's a shame it was ruined by the X-2 ending (I'd like to think the ending where she accepts his death is canonical).
Couldn't agree more.
I also found the scene where Cid finds Yuna very moving - she looks up to see he's turned his back on her, but when the camera pans to his face he's trying to hold back tears.

FFIV - Edward scene in Troia you know what i mean...

FFV -
Galuf's Death

FFVI - Nearlly everything that happens this was the most emotional game with the perfect music to suit it i just cried on most of the cutscenes.

FFVII - When the game started coz it's a terrible game.
Crisis Core -
Zacks death

FVIII - The end

FFIX - Nearlly everything that involves Freya and the existence problem with Zidane in disk 3.

FFX - Not really that sad for me.

FFXII - When i got owned a few hundred times by Yiazmat

FFXIII - When i realised it wouldn't get much better.

Hmmm the two I thought were extremely emotional were: the end of X, The death of the black mages on the cargoship in IX and Dajh and Sazh's short reunion in XIII. I thought that particular one was extremely good, and the fallout which followed.

I think I've said this in another thread, but the end of X was probably one of the more emotional moments of the FF series. The music was spot for the emotions set for the moment. Poor Yuna, too.

I think another, possibly equally, was the ending of Crisis Core. Again, the music was spot on, and the events were pretty dramatic and gripping. But hey, one could say Zack
truly did become a hero
. No doubting that.

Final Fantasy X and Crisis Core

Final Fantasy X's ending was just too damn heart-wrenching...I loved the romance story, and the ending just crushed me--entirely. I ended up dwelling on the final scenes for days...I even started looking on YouTube for the scenes, and kept playing them over and over--yeah, I get pretty obsessed, lol. I think that the story, as much as I wished that Tidus didn't have to disappear at the time, was just amazing--truly, the best ending out of the entire series...and X-2 had to go and ruin it by writing him back into the story...

Crisis Core was amazing too. I knew that Zack was going to die at the end, since it's revealed in FFVII that he does, but I never knew that the ending would be so...epic and sad at the same time...it was truly a Hero's ending.

As far as which game's ending effected me the most emotionally, I'd say it was FFX. But, I think that CC's ending was totally satisfying...not to say that FFX's ending wasn't satisfying--just not as much as CC's.

I've only played 3 of the FF series, but my number one was the ending of Final Fantasy VIII when Squall and Rinoa finally kissed (ABOUT BLOODY TIME!).

Sometimes you wonder why on earth is Squall so cold on a ridiculously beautiful woman who CONSTANTLY throws herself at him... And then you realize that if Squall was interested in her in the beginning, the storyline wouldn't really have that much of an appeal. It would be just another case of hentai one-night-stand with a horny chick blowing a clueless boy.

-.-. Forget Cloud,Tifa, Aeris. All of you ever failed to mention Barret. The *best* character in Final Fantasy 7. He was *more* of a leader than Cloud *ever* was. I have reasons to prove this. First off, in the Ambush of the Shinra Reactor Barret tells Cloud that Shinra is sucking up the earth and he is here to stop that. Cloud shrugs and says not my problem. Yeah way to go big hero! *sarcasm*. Anyways even though Barret cusses and all that he really really cared about his team.
This emotionally hit me harder than Aeris' death. And I (almost cried), I was able to hold back, but Barret's only buddies, Wedge, Jessie and Biggs were all. ALL of them were killed by the president of shinra and his stupid executives. And he was emotional about it. I could feel his pain when his people were killed. His motto that he "ALWAYS" follows. We gonna keep on this train we on, this train don't make no stops; that's why we gotta keep on going. Plus he was framed for the death of people in gold saucer, lost another friend had his hometown burned by the Shinra and is still fighting them.
Okay now that's out of the way let me get to cloud. For one he's psychotic and induced by seizures that happen randomly. WTF man, you're supposed to be the hero of the story. Quit bein a weak @$$. Tells Barret off. Not my problem you handle the weight of the world. Yeah, big hero *sarcasm. Anyways even during Aeris and her name is Aeris for the really really big fans, when she is trying to summon holy near the very end of disc 1 our oh holy hero cloud can't contain himself and is about to kill Aeris himself. Then he gives the black materia to Sephiroth twice and Barret tells him he's a jack@$$ in which he is. I'm sorry, but I'm not a cloud fan. Also Cloud has a big @$$ seisure he'd never recover from if *TIFA* wasn't there. I say leave him alone and fight Sephiroth yourselves. Suddenly Cloud fights Sephiroth, oh no another seisure!! Slice,Slice,Slice! Yep Cloud would be dead.
Plus why the heck is Cloud emotionally attracted to Aeris when he's got Tifa. Dumb@$$. He's just a bad hero and Barret or Cid would be better. End of story.

Have you ever CRIED while playing your favorite FF game?

Cried, as in get so emotionally overwhelmed that you notice your eyes getting moist. It doesn't have to be a burst of tears, but enough to make you feel like you got struck by lightning.

I felt it again... I haven't felt this way in 7 years. The first time I felt it, I was fidgety for 3 hours and I was jumping all over the place...

But this time, it was a more calm and crybabyish-type of feeling. I just don't exactly know how to handle it...

But I think the whole, long space sequence in FF8 was my favorite. The first time I played the game it reduced me to tears and it's still one of the more touching FF moments for me. Squall carrying Rinoa for so long was also pretty touching; you have to figure he really loves her if he's willing to cross so much distance on foot, carrying her like that and talking to her as if she can listen. It just gushed me up.

You nailed it!!

This one is EXTREMELY emotional for me too. I cried when I was at this part.

There is a similar topic here in general Final Fantasy discussion called "Your most emotionally intense moments in Final Fantasy..." So I think I am going to merge your thread with that one since the topics are so similar. (Threads Merged).
